Sam and Rosie getting married. The guy had to go to fucking Mordor to find the courage to ask her out.

Saw "Brave" today and almost cried. I'm not joking! It pushed a lot of buttons for me. Heavy family stuff, mother issues .....

It was a surprisingly good movie. Gorgeous to look at, too. The best computer animated hair EVER.

The one that always gets me starts at 2:23:

And I just don't get (usually younger) people who don't like black & white. So beautiful. I don't think "It Happened One Night" would be as good in color, it would lose something.

For Bastille Day:

Watership Down. Pretty much all of it from start to finish. Was a kid at the time of course, but it's a seriously brutal film.

Watership Down, same filmmakers as The Plague Dogs. I saw Watership Down as a kid. I think I was too young to fully grasp what was going on, but I saw Plague Dogs when I was 21 and cried like a grandmother. I bet if I watched WD, the waterworks would flow.

Jody Foster's Nell, during the part where she tries to talk.

The part in the last episode of Extras where Ricky Gervais says he's sorry to his best friend on camera.

All through A.I. Artifical Intelligence.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Mr. Holland's Opus: when he conducts the music he put together and then sang (and signed) for his adult son. Second scene, when Mr. Holland comes into the auditorium at the end and sees all of the people he has unknowing impacted during his life.

Ordinary People: when Timothy Hutton's character has his break through in therapy and realizes his pain because he survived. And, then when Donald Sutherland's character realizes the depth of his wife's ice feelings toward colin. I cry when he choses his son over his wife. He stays with Colin as his wife leaves.

One of the Ice Age movies when the mother of the little baby rescues the baby from the river and with her last ounce of strengh, pushes her cherished baby to safety (the mammoth meets her eye contact and puts his trunk out to keep the baby from rolling back into the river)...and then the mother is gone.

Too many in the LOTR to count.

God I know that one.

Why do they put scenes like that in kid's movies?

My tear ducts ain't infinite, ya know.

I guess I know why they do though.

The sacrifice is sad but beautiful.

There is much sadness here in middle earth.

The worst thing I ever saw was the beginning of what was it, oh yes "Nim's Island."

I can't be in the same room when that one is on.

I recall Defoe also.

But back to Nim's Island.

This is a marvellous movie.

I couldn't find the intro that makes me cry so much, only the trailer.

Ha ha ha.

Even the trailer is making me cry.

The Lord knows it don't take much to make me weep.

Jeez.

Sorry, I'm just funnin' ya now. On to the movie! Watch this movie! It's magical!

Alex Rover!

Get up!

Oh Newton Arise!

Unbend thy Back!

Look to the skies!

For the mystical machine gun fire.

With what does every journey begin?

The road goes ever on.
