I'll check with the neighbors sometime this week and get back to you. That was going to be my next plan of action.

there's also a lot of roadside spraying the goes on, but I don't know much about it or how much that still goes on. City, county, township, etc governments usually the sponsor. "don't eat raspberries that grow on the roadside" etc

Not wishing to sound like an alarmist, but... OUR SLUGS ARE MISSING NOW, as well as the ants!

I saw plenty of those useful little lizards down in Arivaca, and caught a few, but I can't find any closer to home.

I used to catch those as a kid in texas. If you put them in a shoe box and shake them up a bit they spit blood from their eyes. As a young boy that was the coolest thing ever. So was wreaking havoc from on high on fire ants with magnifying glasses.

I love using beneficial animals to combat pesty ones.

Bat houses. No guarantee they'll move in and they won't eliminate the need for some sort of mosquito repellent, but they help. And bats are just cool. We have one that sleeps between two panes of glass on the porch on hot days. I like to watch it's preflight preparations at dusk.

Good year for fruit flies.

They seem to prefer Brandy and Wine over bananas.
