Inspired by the General Discussion forum, the question is simple...

If you were a cut of meat, what would you be?


Me, I'd be a rump roast...

Pork butt, I guess. No, really, just meat, human meat.



It wasn't the most inspired work I ever did, it was rather literal actually, but it had a surprising impact, in person, and among friends.

There seems to be a reticence to identify muscle as meat and these sorts of artworks, which are not uncommon, serve as triggers. At a base level, it forces an association between meat that is bought at the grocery store and the living tissue of the animal, through identification. That connection is disturbing for anyone not raised on a farm, apparently.

Just another emblem of the disconnectedness of modern life I suppose.

Regarding my cut, I'm going with the taint: kinda chewy, a little bit ballsy, not quite a complete asshole.

My definition of the choad is a penis wider than its length. In literal terms, I couldn't honestly be described in such a way. Metaphorically, perhaps it can be said that I contain more breadth than depth, a minor haunt of a failing which in some ways I can relate to. But really, I wouldn't wish to also lay claim to the penis as the cut of meat which I would be were I to be one, because the question posed is implicitly limiting to a single answer. It seems hoggish to insist upon two. I prefer to be more parsimonious with my personal portion of the pie here, more laissez-faire. Someone else might want it, you never know.

Blade steak. Cheap, lean, nasty, tough and friend to the poor.
