My neighboring village is 'Lærdal'. A headline in my local paper read as following:

Thought they saw UFO. Was just people from Lærdal partying.

They also had one of my favorite articles ever (this is the full article):

Rockslide on road between Sogndal and Leikanger

The mail will be late.

My favourites:

First describes a strike at a public library in an Essex village

"Book lack in Ongar"

Second, a psychiatric prisoner attacks two of the hospital cleaning staff before escaping

"Nut screws washers and bolts"

Thank you for that. Really very good. An archive of headlines exclusive to the NY Post could be compiled.

Many years ago I clipped an article that ran in the Easton Express, I think that's what it's called, a paper published in the Lehigh Valley city of Easton, PA. This city is the location of the confluence of the Susquehanna and Delaware Rivers. I thought it would be risque enough to be read on the Tonight Show, but never sent it in.

"Man calls testicle loss anguishing" was the headline.
