Harvey, I hardly knew you and hope for your return.

Geeze, guys, he's an artist! Go easy on the guy, he's sensitive.

I have my moments as we all do. Mostly pencil, some graphite wash.

I hadn't seen it before (despite being a lifelong admirer of Martin) and posted it on one of my twitter accounts but curiously, not in the form above (incidentally the third twitter account I'd been through, one of them under my own name, having since been locked out of all three due to my total refusal to compromise further) to point out that it seems to anticipate the cutting edge science now proving that the Younger Dryas was caused by cometary fragment impacts. The ark (unbeknownst to me) was added by some wag.

Here's the original, which since my post (I checked the wiki page history dates) even wikipedia is now using to illustrate that Martin may have divined the cause of the deluge, a good century or so before the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis.

Digging around in my folder of transparencies last year I came across this one from about twenty five years ago, back when I was still trying to be Jim Burns while desperately failing at being myself as well... Still, there's something about it.

Beautiful. That's pretty much it. Slip into a world within the world and bring a little something back.
