The culmination of our failure to simply care for one another has blown up in our collective faces. I just wanted to extend my compassion to those who might read this message and remind all that loving and caring for one another is the most important thing we will ever do. Perhaps this covid scare can redirect our collective compass as to what is truly important in life. It definitely should put healthcare reform on the top of humanities priority list.
compassion: a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
Its what is most absent in life, and what is most necessary.
"We are rich only through what we give, and poor only through what we refuse" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Goddess bless you. Be kind to others. Do what you can to make life livable for all. Peace.

Agree wholeheartedly and thank you for saying this, thruthelookingglass.
I find myself responding this way but in recent years have gone far in this direction anyway. It’s really the only way to go.
This “crisis,” no matter how real it may or may not be, is bringing to the forefront the binary qualities of the human condition in that we’re seeing both the best, and the worst, in people, simultaneously.
As usual, it’s easy to notice, and be affected by, the worst behavior, yet I’m convinced it is a tiny minority of people who behave this way, but it has a greater effect than those who act benevolently, in that it’s a natural response for humans to be on the lookout for things in the world against which they may have to defend themselves. The people who are behaving badly are kind of spoiling it for all of us, but that’s how it’s always been, no?

Been trying to think of what to buy with my $1200 "stimulus" (if I actually receive it, not holding my breath).
Your search - AR15 rifle - did not match any shopping results.

Plenty of guns to be had. Trying getting the ammunition though.

Charity: generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless. Something given to a person or persons in need, alms. Benevolent feeling, especially toward those in need or disfavor. leniency in judging others, forbearance.
Life's grandeur isn't found in what you consume, but what you produce.

You don't need Leviticus, Deuteronomy, some Sermon on the mound, or some vile crucifixion.

Tera-mining Your Micro-infringements (Algorithmic Censorship)
Welcome back for another episode of Nick’s Non-fiction with your host Nick Muniz! Ian Ayers bestseller, Super Crunchers, is a deep dive into data and the devout power quantum computing will have over our future. Did you know more motor accidents are due to drowsy driving than drunk driving? Insurance companies plan on using micro sensors to determine an increases on your premium based on how many lanes you drift across and dreams you drifted into. Super computers are often super douches to those paying most for its service. Airlines are phasing in smart rebooking to upgrade customers who’re most at risk for continued business rather than existing club members. The book arises a Phillip K. Dick contemplation of technology, ‘Is our sole evolutionary purpose to produce technology, passing the baton to the AI, or do we make machines to serve man’? Ayer crosses the pc line into the forbidden science of IQ deviation and the inconsistencies between the sexes. Ex-president of Harvard, Larry Summers was impeached for recognizing this data going to show even at the apex of academia your future is in the hands of the Super Crunchers. Goodbye people. I will probably not be coming here at all anymore, for various reasons. It is not doing me any good. Most of the people I liked having a genuine dialogue with are gone.
Take care.

Genuine dialogue is dangerous, transformative and invigorating. It means encountering views, ideas and information which conflict powerfully with our programming, which can be confusing and disorienting, which challenge our views and ideas and may even invalidate our entire view of the world.
Otherwise it's something else. Good luck!

It's a rough crowd here Gnomad. This doesn't have to be your night*, unless you decide it so. I for one appreciate a wide variety of viewpoints. Yours as well.
