"Unreport" this post?

I recently reported a post, thinking it was a spam. Well, that was wrong and a little dumb of me. Unfortunately, re-reporting the post to issue a correction doesn't seem to be possible. Sorry for wasting the mods' time. :wallhead:

I suppose there's no mechanism for unreporting a post?

I think you'll realize you've no need to worry.

Well, I banned him. You're saying that was a mistake?

I'm guessing your answer will be another round of "Uh, well, yeah."

Do I care enough to un-ban him, though? I wonder...

Well a closer look at his three-post history, along with the benefit of the doubt, led me to rethink my accusation of spambottery. Whether the content of those posts (viz., a a cryptic one-sentence necro post, an inane rhetorical question, and a purposeless self-quote) merits continued account activation isn't something I feel particularly anxious or entitled to adjudicate.

Same -- these are dire questions worthy of more consideration than we could bring to bear, surely.

Drink deep of Valhalla, Shayne. We hardly knew ye.

lol I'm just not in the business of telling a 7-year veteran and mod who to ban. Except apparently I guess I am. The power is like nothing I've ever known.
