I've had it with Doodad. Jeff, would you consider at least banning him temporarily? I had zapped a comment by Telex (long, reasonable comment with a one-sentence insult at the end)on this page (as you can see in the quote by Doodad, and Doodad just has to rub it in, then add some more goading. It's gotten so that all I have to do is look for his name on a thread in order to find the start of another flame war. He's nothing but an instigator.

Sorry I wasn't around last night.

I'll suspend his account for a few days and see if he's any better if/when he comes back.

I pm'd him to change his sig line after I was alerted on it and chig, reading between the lines in that thread, I take it you asked him too as well.

I think he's used up just about all his cautions.

He certainly goes out of his way to bait people. I've known people like him. It's a dominance thing. If they can't be the best, they'll be the worst, the most obnixious worst they can be. They're proud of their abilities at being the worst. But generally they grow out of much of it by age 16.

Ok, I'm done moderating Doodad, too tired of dealing with his casting out his bait for suckers. When he catches a sucker, he expects us to come along and strike at his sucker, "saving" him by punishing the sucker. I'm done. It's up you, Jeff.

The original article he posted is valid and it's a reasonable topic, but his track record speaks for itself and I'm not going to be a human shield for him. I think I'll just let it ride for a while.

I know the article was valid, by itself, but he is so fucking biased--a "semitic" yesterafu. I will leave him in your hands, at least on his own threads. I can leave him alone on other people's threads, too, if you ask nicely. Otherwise, I will be THE RED QUEEN!!! Or you are always welcome to fire me... please!

But I'm warning you, he does intentionally attempt to disrupt. Offering food for thought is one thing, but instigating for the fun of disruption is not useful.

Ok, now that I'm no longrrrr irritated, I can admit that it wasn't worth banning him. You didn't, did you Jeff? I see you locked the thread. There's something about the way he casts out bait, then sits back waiting for us to defend him from his catch that gets under my skin.

No, I didn't ban him, just locked it. But I know exactly what you mean. He goads people into taking a shot and then screams "Help I'm being repressed!"

GM has pm'd me to ask if I shouldn't also delete Doodad's comment:

Sorry to be blunt but for you to ask such a question and then include the descriptor, "logical fashion," when it's obvious the question itself distances you from any understanding of basic logic, makes me question your abilities. Since I wouldn't have any idea how to school you in the formal logic you so obviously need, I answered the question the best I could. There is no paradox because your notion of logic is fallacious pointing to a deficit in even assembling a coherent thesis for an argument.

Will that do Mr Captain Canard?

I looked at it, and replied no, that he, GM had started it all by calling Doodad "Captain Canard" in the first place.

I've warned the two of them publicly, so I suggest leaving it be for now.
