While that statement is a bit of an exaggeration, I think there is some truth in it.

Perhaps I should add that I'm not referring to the media part of the statement. I consider media and media consumer to be a business transaction. If the consumers don't like the "product", they needn't buy it. The rule applies, whether it's the NY Times o Fox News.
