I've posted these rules for it. Let me know what you think, and what potential problems you foresee:

This is a place for members' to announce off-forum activities, accomplishments and services that may be of interest to the general community.

For example, artists and writers may wish to announce gallery openings and book releases, bloggers new posts and podcasts, and event organizers speaking engagements, film screenings and public demonstrations.

The board may also be used for posting services and skills exchange.

For example, a member traveling from A to B and seeking another to share driving and gas, or a designer offering help setting up a website.

If a post is deemed inappropriate by the moderators, for whatever reason, it will be deleted.

If people want to use it in that way I think I'm ok with that, too. So long as it doesn't turn into Plato's Retreat down there.

I'm fine with it too. Why not? It's pleasant to think of RI'ers hooking up.
