I just checked out this site: http://hexayurt.com/ and found a lot that could be used as camping equipment, or for very economical, emergency housing AND efficient camp stoves, etc. (at the hexayurt.com site, take the link to the TIDES program).

Wow, I think even I could do one of those. Only problem I can see would be wind.
