Scott Horton keyword hijacked-remade Horton Hears a Who

Postby Hugh Manatee Wins » Mon Feb 25, 2008 4:14 am

I discovered the name of Scott Horton in the thread about CBS's '60 Minutes' show being partly blacked out in Alabama during the controversial airing of a segment about how former Alabama Governor Siegleman got framed up and railroaded into prison by Karl Rove's injustice system for the crime of speaking out against election fraud.

And I had been wondering if there was some political reason behind the 2008 remake of Dr. Seuss' 'Horton Hears a Who.' There was.

This movie is functioning as a keyword hijacking for Scott Horton.

Scott HORTON writing for Harpers Magazine is covering this Siegelman/election-justice fraud scandal plus Horton is a human rights heavy, too-

http://www.harpers.org/subjects/ScottHorton
A New York attorney known for his work in emerging markets and international law, especially human rights law and the law of armed conflict, Horton lectures at Columbia Law School.
.....
Scott recently led a number of studies of abuse issues associated with the conduct of the war on terror for the New York City Bar Association, where he has chaired several committees, including, most recently, the Committee on International Law.

And that's why this movie remake is just coming out in 2008-
"Horton Hears a Who"...yes, a keyword hijacking because of Scott Horton's work in the age of Gitmo military tribunal show trials which were planned long ago.

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who (2008)
The imaginative elephant Horton hears a cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Suspecting there may be life on that speck and despite a surrounding community which thinks he has lost his mind, Horton is determined to help.

"Hi, Jack!!"

Hugh, you don't know how right you are. I hadn't (consciously) seen this here thread today until just now ... several hours after I emailed a friend with a subject line that read:

"Where's Waldo ... er um Scott Horton"

In the body of the email I linked to these two pictures here:

Try this one ... it's easier.

Oh wait ... I used Where's Waldo and you're talking about ... oh, sorry, my bad. Oh and yer talkin about that OTHER Scott Horton.

Wait, maybe this Scott Horton is a keyword hijack for that other Scott Horton!

In all seriousness Hugh, you have educated me as I did not realize they were remaking Horton Hears A Who ... AND I still believe we can learn much from your KH theories.

Oy! And I didn't know about THAT Scott Horton.

I think the one I cited is the one that is worth the hijacking since he's got academic creds and mainstream intellectual publishing visibility and has done work against the whole Gitmo thang.

But 'yours' certainly ups the value of the decoy even though he used be "just" a Libertarian. As your photos show, that has become more of a problem due to promoting all that dangerous Constitutional stuff-
Horton is not related to the lawyer and journalist at Harper's Magazine of the same name.
.....
Scott Horton is an assistant editor at Antiwar.com and is the host of Antiwar Radio.
.....
In October 2007, Horton won the Austin Chronicle's 'Best of Austin' award for his coverage of the Iraq War.
.....

Children's movies are loaded with psychic shock-absorbers meant to keep them from picking up keywords and phrases from adults that might create permanent distrust of authority.

Trust in authority is like a snowman - once it melts, it's gone for good.
So lots of mnemonic umbrellas are put up in front of kid's eyes in an effort to keep their 'inner snowman of authority' from melting before their attitudes are locked in for life.

You can easily figure out the memes in the 2006 movie of 'Curious George.'

Junior, frustrated, modifies his father's map of Africa...

No doubt. What's even cooler is that Scott Horton has interviewed Scott Horton several times now:

I first heard about Scott Horton's coverage of the Siegelman case from the site Talking Points Memo:

TPM is a very good site, I try to go there at least once a day.
They have been covering the developments in the Seigelman case for at least a year now...

In other words, this movie can "hijack" the name of anyone called Horton that anyone knows anywhere. You just admitted and demonstrated the total failure of your theory.
