Well compared to the god-awfully incorrect and numerous attempts at getting even remotely close to the spirit of the Dark Knight book (which should've starred a fat and dying Brando with NO cgi, etc), the Watchmen trailer is promising enough to hold hope out for. Though Jeff's right that a long mini-series type format would've been far closer...

At least in early promotion, to keep the comic geeks excited, they're going to extraordinary lengths to honour the original:

Mind boggling.

I saw a review of it last night. By Australia's favorite "independent" movie reviewers. Like all reviewers they don't really have a clue whats going on at the cutting edge of any culture. And haven't used the intervening years to catch up.

However, Margaret Pomeranz, one of the reviewers actually said she enjoyed the movie so much she was inspired to go out and and buy the full comic to read.

So maybe some good will come of it. I tell you what, she'll be in for a mild shock when she sees the proper ending.

Tho if there is no fake cuthulu wanna be you have to wonder the fuck the point is.

BTW cheers cuda.
