TED CONFERENCE/AWARDS - What's the View?

Non-profit yearly event/conference attended by all sorts of folks from Hollywood big-shots through to Astro-physics superstars plus some regular hoi-polloi. (By invite though now, I'm told)<br><br>There's some marvellous stuff on the main web site - particularly some of the presenters' videos. <br><br>I just saw that they gave their prestigious Award to Clinton...<br><br>'Wondering if people here know of it, care, have a view? <br><br>My gut tells me it's very well intentioned but largely wastes an opportunity to really change the world. <p></p><i></i>
