Because Gunderson, his ilk and their "vibe" don't own Franklin/Gosch.

I hate the term, but they are this topic's "gatekeepers," and their off-putting vibes, misdirections and false assumptions have kept it from gaining any sort of credible traction.

Jeff, what do you see as being their misdirections and false assumptions?

Briefly and incompletely:

"100% Confirmation Gannon/Guckert Is Johnny Gosch"

"So here's my question: why is Ted Gunderson, self-styled enemy of Satanic Ritual Abuse, a longtime friend and partner of Robert Booth Nichols, a reputed veteran of MK-ULTRA and student of Nazi occultism? (Interestingly, when then-FBI agent Gunderson had run a background check of Nichols, he reportedly found him to be 'squeaky clean.')

The far right Christian militia/"Patriot" movement milieu, which I believe serves as a false opposition to further exercise control upon survivors.

The scapegoating of alternative religions, sects and lifestyles, when the perpetrators hide themselves in plain sight in the conservative, "family values" mainstream.

The botching of every case Gunderson touches.

That was a pass that was updated daily. I don't know much about how press passes work, but what I have read suggests that the order to renew it that way came from high up inside the WH.

A permanent press pass would have required a background check. Somebody in the WH knew that wouldn't be good.

I also believe that there was an issue of him receiving funding from a GOP program that cast him more as a lobbyist than a legitimate reporter.

I can still remember his ungodly fucking annoying questions during those press interviews. I remember sitting there scratching my head asking myself what fucking universe I was in. This was way before I had connected to anything online and knew any of the things I do now.

His question about how Bush worked with democrats that had 'divorced themselves from reality' still blows my mind.

Oops...I thought that I had read Gannon did have a permanent pass and that the White House claimed they had done a thorough background search. Maybe I misunderstood that...

Some claim his background checks out but I'm not so sure about that....
to me, Gannon bears a remarkable resemblence to Gosch. That doesn't necessarily mean anything...

I wouldn't take Gunderson's word on The Gannon-Gosch connection but I did listen to the you-tube interview with Rusty Nelson, the Franklin photographer. Rusty Nelson claims that he feels certain Gannon is Gosch.
Who knows? All I know is Gannon refused a DNA test after he agreed publicly to take one....why would he do that?

From the Washington Post:

Dismissing speculation that he had a permanent White House press pass, which requires a full-blown FBI background check that usually takes months, Gannon said he could not get one because he was required to first get a pass from the Senate press gallery, which did not consider him to be working for a legitimate news organization. Instead, he said he was admitted on a day-to-day basis after supplying his real name, date of birth and Social Security number. He said he did not use a pseudonym to hide his past but because his real last name is hard to spell and pronounce.

Which begs the question: If he supplied his real name, how was he able to get away with using an alias?

Would you want your DNA in the FBI databank if you had been engaging in a sexual crime?

What sexual crime? Gay prostitution?
Besides, why would the FBI have to do the DNA test? Noreen wanted the test to be done....not the FBI, right?

No, it's not. Nothing that derives it's reason for being from the disappearance, abuse, or possible death of a child is "wonderful," or an occasion for lol-lol-lol amusement and titillated giggling. And to "have many people emotionally charged up about this important case" is something the value and utility of which is entirely dependent on which people and what emotions. For example, to have many people cowering in fear about this important case would be highly undesirable. As would having many people confused and overwhelmed by the potential larger implications of this important case. As would having many people emotionally charged up to the point that they stopped thinking about this important case altogether, and took to roving the countryside in torch-bearing mobs in a quest to dissipate the emotional charge.

Let's keep it up...

Let's not and say we did. lol, emoticon, lol. Then let's tone it down and proceed seriously, if we are seriously interested.

I apologize for the schoolmarm attitude. I didn't mean:

I just mean that for something so complex, button-pushing and replete with distractions, it's a good idea to make sure you're not inadvertently getting lost in the chase. Because it's easy to end up like this, and never even know it:
