Lead singer of Tool a rapist?

Seems like half the bands looking for musicians on Craigslist include Tool in the lists of bands they want their band to sound like.

Classic example, posted on CL yesterday:

I'm a 21-year-old novice but aspiring drummer, and feel my life has been changed by Tool's music style. I've been working to assemble a cover band / band to make music in a similar vein, but feel I need to expand my search.

Dear sweet jezus, I would kill for a Tool-inspired bassist, of any skill level, who pumps out dark, ominous, sometimes ambient sometimes intense bass riffs that my roommate and I could build on. If you're a guitarist or an interested musician of any other kind or background, I'd still be interested in meeting.

I feel I can "see" the formula of Tool's music, and believe I could fulfill the role Danny provides, but I need a guitarist, bassist especially, or lyricist to create with. I currently have 5 or 6 songs coming along which I'm excited to realize.

I like Tool and APC, especially the 25 year old+ ep this song is off. Few bands/people can write something about shooting some campaigner in the head and make it sound good but not too self indulgent. Wouldn't say i'm a fan or anything, I haven't really listened to much after Aenima.

Tool, well Maynard, wrote lots of songs about power and the abuse of it. Mostly critical. Opiate and Prison Sex are not pro rape songs, not that it means anything either way but its hardly a song about a mud shark.

This is the first time I've listened to it in ages.
