as i was idly browsing around i came across this piece from yesterday

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/4711533.stm

"Police are examining a possible link between those involved in Thursday's attacks and a whitewater rafting trip.

Two of the 7 July bombers rode the rapids at Canolfan Tryweryn, the National Whitewater Centre, in Bala, north Wales weeks before the attack.

Officers believe several people with links to addresses being investigated in relation to the 21 July attack may have also been on the trip.

But it is not yet clear whether they are the suspected bombers."

this is more linking the bombers of the 7th and the 21st and this whitewater trip

this shows that its as easy to connect the bombers to a religious school in Pakistan affiliated with al-qaeda as it is to connecting them to a rafting school in wales patronised by the uk deputy prime minister
and yeah im talking to myself alot :P

Edited by: hmm at: 7/24/05 3:12 pm

One of my first questions was: Why would an alleged suicide bomber have a flier for a rafting trip in his belongings?

It reminds me of the flight school materials found in the car of one of the alleged 9/11 hijackers -- too damn convenient.

some scenarios

Postby glubglubglub » Sun Jul 24, 2005 8:39 pm

There's the 'we'll make some quick bling running a load of drugs' scenario, except the pot backpacks may have had stuff in them.

There's the 'we're outdoors nuts and we split up to do last minute shopping for a pleasant trip to the backcountry'

and there's probably more. But if the bombs were already planted it's entirely possible that all that needed to be in the bags were some kind of radio beacon to alert the detonator.

The drug deal allows an easier out to explain why they sat around on the trains so long -- ride this train, this car, and give the bag to this man who will be on it eventually -- but the camping trip could be made to work too.

On the photos you posted: on the group shot the guy in the upper center and the bars appears not to be consistent, although the resolution is sufficiently low it's difficult to tell: 2/3 the bars pass behind his arm but the third perhaps passes over (or is simply unobscured, difficult to tell).

Very interesting that they're all solo shots.

Re:Bomber Superimposed onto Metro Police Surveillance Photo?

Postby seemslikeadream » Mon Jul 25, 2005 1:30 am
Was a "Bomber" Superimposed onto Metropolitan Police Surveillance Camera Photo?

Below is a CCTV image circulated by the Metropolitan Police.

As Peter K wrote,"Take a look at this photo of the four alleged London bombers."

news.yahoo.com/photo/0507...65b_photo1

"At first, (almost) everything looks fine, but look closer... look at the guy with the white hat... check out his left arm (HIS left arm).... the lower of the rails of the railing is IN FRONT of his left arm... where of course it shouldn't be! I'm NO image specialist, but this sure looks ridiculous. I'd say it´s a fake."

The CLG has also inspected this image. "The white-hatted man was apparently superimposed onto the photo. Not only is his arm 'behind' a railing that is supposedly several feet behind HIM, but also, upon magnification in Photoshop, part of the bar actually goes into his head. This was 'touched-up,' but pixels of his head mix unmistakably with pixels from the railing." --Michael Rectenwald.

http://www.legitgov.org/cctv_image_of_uk_suspects_240705.html

THE BOMB WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN

Postby st4 » Mon Jul 25, 2005 3:10 am

- The "Magic Bomb" Theory
by Mark Faulk
www.faulkingtruth.com/articles/commentary/1040.html

Quote:
[SNIP]

In a seemingly innocuous article in the British newspaper Cambridge Evening News, 32 year-old dance instructor Bruce Lait, in an interview from his hospital bed, said that "The policeman said 'mind that hole, that's where the bomb was'. The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train. They seem to think the bomb was left in a bag, but I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag."

Read that last part again, very slowly, and let it sink in. "The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train." "They seem to think the bomb was left in a bag, but I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag."

And the British authorities on the crime scene missed that, and just assumed that it was a carry-on bomb? C'mon, how many times have you seen that bad TV show where the eccentric detective figures out that the crime was an "inside job" because the glass was outside the broken window, not inside where it should have been. I repeat: Crime Scene Investigation 101. Basic physics.

While describing the scene, Lait said about he and his dance partner Crystal Main, "Out of that whole carriage, I think Crystal and I were the only ones who were not seriously injured, and I think we were nearest the bomb."

He went on to describe those sitting closest to him and Main when the bomb went off. "I remember an Asian guy, there was a white guy with tracksuit trousers and a baseball cap, and there were two old ladies sitting opposite me." He described the woman whose body was lying on top of him when he regained consciousness as a "middle-aged woman who had blonde curly hair, was dressed in black, and could have been a businesswoman."

Again, play close attention here. "We were nearest the bomb." An Asian guy, a white guy, two old ladies, and a blond businesswoman......and two dancers.

So.....if the bomb was in a bag carried on by the terrorist, how could two dancers be "nearest the bomb"? And why didn't the person who was the closest eyewitness see the bomber, or even ANYONE, sitting where the bomb went off? Why was the metal pushed upwards if the bomb was inside of the train carriage?

Let's put this in perspective, piece by piece:

"The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train."

"I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag."

"We were nearest the bomb."

An Asian guy, a white guy, two old ladies, and a blond businesswoman......and two dancers.

Here we go again. Another terrorist event with more questions than answers, questions that the major media (yet again) aren't even asking.

Hell, I'll even take a stab at answering them:

The metal was pushed upwards because THE BOMB WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN.

Lait didn't remember seeing anyone, or a bag that could be holding a bomb, near the point of detonation because there was no bomber sitting there, there was no bag. THE BOMB WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN.

An Asian guy, a white guy, two old ladies, and a blond businesswoman......and two dancers. There was no Islamic radical, no Mideastern terrorist sitting in that carriage. THE BOMB WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN.

Dance partners Bruce Lait and Crystal Main were nearest the bomb.....again, no Islamic radical, no Mideastern terrorist sitting in that carriage. THE BOMB WAS UNDERNEATH THE TRAIN.

[SNIP]

Read more here:
www.faulkingtruth.com/art.../1040.html
