I can't believe it took me all of my life up until three seconds ago to realize that Lieber and Stoller were thinking of heroin, then exclusively an I.V. drug when they wrote "Poison Ivy."

I mean: She'll really do you in/If you let her get under your skin, for god's sake.

I'm an idiot.

Take Pills Die is an amazing blog with what must be hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of free electronic music created by the blog's author, Andrew Cauthen. The music is entirely electric, with a great deal of ambient and atmospheric stuff, but with plenty of beat driven stuff too. The blog's text, which mostly functions as liner notes for Cauthen's multitude of podcast / mix, is written also fairly striking.

From the blog:
"Take Pills Die" is Andrew Julian Cauthen's sonic journal/zine. Thanks for coming! I don't sell these sounds cause I am helping to create an abundant gift economy and showing how to live with little or no wage slavery/ debt/ gun to your head economics. Since we all know working is the most dangerous, irresponsible, and boring thing you can do on earth (i do take donations). But if you enjoy anything here, please email me and tell me! "andrewcauthen at gmail dot com" Sharing is Caring! Thank You! I Love You! :)

Now this guy is most certainly a CIA-mind-controlled-reptilian-super-freak. No normal human could play drums like that.

treeboy, I hope you check out the second video, the hand control is fucking hypertranshumanist. He passed away this Valentines Day. I saw Mr. Bellson and his wife, Ms. Bailey, perform together once in the '80's with a big band, and they were still remarkable performers.
