Of course, someone posted it practically the very minute I grew weary of checking, apparently. However, I've grown spiritually since my original linkless reply back whenever the hell it was. So I now feel compelled to add that both songs are the ne plus ultra of themselves, Because I wouldn't want either to feel that the other one was getting more than its share of my recognition of its topiness. Because I would only be fanning the flames of the toppermost-of-the-poppermost-ism that's tearing our society apart if I did.

And that would just be terribly, terribly wrong.

Sukiyaki -- Kyu Sakamoto

It's the only #1 hit in the entire history of American chart-topping singles to have had entirely Japanese lyrics ya know.

Wilco, the Song -- Wilco

Sometimes I feel that I should like them more than I do. Then again.... Nope. I still have no feeling for them.

I'll see your Tages and raise you another Newbeats, 'cause I just can't get enough of that absolutely crazy falsetto issuing forth from Larry Henley's vocal aperture.
