I did appreciate the above every bit as much as if he hadn't died, though. "The Letter" also.

But a full appreciation is a pretty serious challenge. He practically changed genre mid-chord for most of what, for lack of a better phrase, I'm going to call "his career".

He was the best Alex Chilton the world will ever see, though. So may the part represent the whole in spirit, anyway.
