the sadest music in the world video linked me into listening to a couple versions of gloomy sunday, :( so to offset that...

By 1964 there were 1.5 million mobile phone users in the US

Allegro, thank you for your lovely tribute to Canadian sound and vision! Let the cultural imperialism continue:

Saw the Rheostatics perform 'Edmund' in a small club in Thunder Bay during a power failure... strolling with acoustic instruments, and the whole bar singing along by candle-light and swooping hazard flashlights. It was SUBLIME.

justdrew, Gordon sings Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Handel's Messiah plus Every Other Song Ever Written!
I'm betting they're the lite versions. Eh? :hihi:

norton, thanks! The pleasure's all mine even though I've shown to all that secret covenant of devotion I've got for Canadian art and music imperialism!

An American, Geoffrey Peterson, composed The Edmund Fitzgerald, a Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra (2005). The mp3 is here, and it requires a plugin that my browser didn't recognize. Alas. Maybe later.

Here are some interesting clips for everyone's aural and visual entertainments.

    Edmund Fitzgerald | 1968

North Shore November | Lake Superior
      Video, music | Mark Ryan
