Seriously, every time I hear "Pumped Up Kicks" -- which is to say, "at least once every time I've left my home for any reason to go anywhere or do anything for a little less than two years now, sometimes oftener" -- I ask myself, "Where is the RI thread on this and other songs written from the point of view of real and/or imaginary spree shooters? Yeah, like we need more music that helps create an atmosphere of weariness when even thinking about walking out the door! Thank goodness, I live in your basic quiet home and tranquil environment, and in it I play musics I REALLY want to hear, like that one →.
You’d think I’d mostly post music reflecting that peacefulness. But, noooo, not these days. Not when I’m trying to accustom myself with dubstep sounds, movement, and lyrics. Yada Yada Yada. I go for a balance in music, but You know all that.
Then. It’s the start of another form of ballet. That’s what I’m calling it, for now. Are any of you watching those guys move to dubstep? Whatcha think? I guess I’m into being mesmerized. They’ve picked up on those subtle sounds in the music; sometimes heard in upper tonal registers, the dancers will move just the fingers or wrists, or isolate a shoulder movement to those finely played rhythms. I love what they’re doing in dance!
And another thing, if you don’t mind. What She Said...

MIGHT BE less traumatic?!
