Queen Bitch?

And the Cats Meow.

I feel some verse coming on.

I guess if I recite it then I could be said to be listening to it.

So I'm on topic!

...
Who's Who and What's What.

Who be King? And who be Queen?
Who Black Adder? Who Mr Bean?

Who be Wizard? And who be Witch?
What the Path? And what the Ditch?

Who be Gangsta? And who be Bitch?
Who wouldst Love to Scratch Whose Itch?

...

Yeah. Needs a bit of editing. I got reams of this stuff.

Who the Lennon, who the Yoko?
Who Stills (or Young), and who just Poco?

Who the Lenin, who the Marx?
Who the Jets and who the Sharks?

Who the Groucho? Who the Zeppo?
    Whence Damascus? Whence Aleppo?

I seriously couldn't be any worse at that than I am, I'm so sorry.

FWIW, I was originally going to compensate for it by linking all the names to songs. But then I just couldn't let go of that "Poco" rhyme, one thing led to another, and it was all downhill from there. Not that it had far to fall. Might have been different if I'd gotten anywhere with the "Who Patti Smith? Who Patty Smyth?" approach, though. Or so I like to tell myself, anyway.

Here's to you, HoL. I aspire. But it's not just that I have no talent. I lack discipline, too.

I love your poem, c2w!

That's the ticket!

I never thought of using whence.

To me there is no place, only one place. Wherever I am.

I just consider who and what.

I mean, I guess I should consider who, what, when, where and why too.

But I can only do so much.

Steve Stills?

Love 'im.

Spirits are using me, larger voices calling.

Me too, man.

I gotta whole heap a Heep on.

Poet's Justice;

Poet's Justice

Cold winds and cloudy skies
Turned to sweetness in her eyes
Fantasies I realised
Came to life to my surprise

Rain came and took her away
Just when I thought
She was here to stay
Sun gone I was left high and dry
Love came by and touched me
And kissed me so long

Shine hard October moon
Eagle take me to her soon
Run swiftly silver stream
Find my love or let me dream

Half of me is all of her
Id be much happier if I were whole
All my words and wisdom fall
The poet's justice
Leads me to my goal
Leads me to my goal

...
Who be Demon? And who be Wizard?
Who the Monkey? Who the Lizard?

...

it's the weirdest thing, they just keep making new past all the time... :starz:
look, it's the British Standells!

weird stuff

surely Allan Partridge's favorite band...
This band is actually composed of the four leaders of the Hellfire Club :rofl2
enjoy their musical rooffies...

a consistently "good sounding" group...
and based on that high praise, actually, not a bad song...
interesting vocals, he jumps from bowie to waters to Sweet, with a little country bit mixed in. weird...

oh hey, the sorrows do a version of Zabadak :ohwh

If I play three versions will I summon Zabadak to this realm?

starting with the famous version...

it's a Alan Blaikley and Ken Howard number, a songwriting duo of Great Powah

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich
an amazingly good band, any band with a standing drummer is not to be trifled with...

and here's one for IanEye... :thumbsup

OMG, that's a fine video/song
in fact, I'm electing the Honeycombs Band of the Month!

oh weird, I always thought this song was Dave Clark 5... posted for the album cover, check the live version below for audio...

"live" version, look at the very beginning, is that Jimmy Saville?

and proof they were willing to try anything...

(this should cause one to find the original meaning of the term batman)

ohh this is very good, but could stand a new version...

it was saville in the above clip

there's more of him in this. He does come off a bit creepy (at least it seems that way now)
but great bands (and sets!)

It must be time for amps off on planet rock.

I like the softer side of rock.
