I'll offer one link now.
www.oraclebroadcasting.comIt has many different podcasts. Some I like and some I hate. But it has many different podcasts to choose from and always updating. I especially like Bob Tuskin and Mark Passio. The rest you will have to sift through and pick your own.

Any recommendations for timeless podcasts that aren't current events commentary? I like the idea of relaxing to something like this but I don't have the patience to listen to people talk about current events and play "newscaster" --- any advice appreciated.

I just tried to do a search for you. We have a thread of podcasts here in 'general' somewhere. Search came up empty, but it was just like the Video only, image only, etc. topics. The podcast thread was at least 5 pages long and had good stuff on it. I didn't know Marc Maron had a new podcast (WTF) till I saw it posted by 82_28 on that thread. 'Out there Radio' I got from someone too. 'Sounds True'...There were many more too.
My recommendations are all through iTunes searches-
Free versions and member/pay versions-
1. Sam Seder - 'Majority Report'
2. Cenk Uynger - 'The Young Turks'
Free-
3. 'The Thomas Jefferson Hour'- great podcast with historian who role plays being interviewed. Its a very good show if you enjoy history.
But look for that podcast thread. It had some good stuff posted on it.

C2C is archived
here on a daily basis.
And I find that
Red Ice Radio is a good way to satisfy my WOO craving.

Negativland's Don Joyce has been making a weekly 3-hour radio show called "Over The Edge" on KPFA since 1981!!
You can GET it as a podcast! It's a free-form collage that you might find enjoyable. The subject of his latest ones are called "Your Brain Is God"! Just search KPFA "Over The Edge" and you too can enjoy the show as a podcast!

^^Sounds more like what I was looking for. I've listened to the audio version of McLuhan's "The Medium is the Massage" a couple thousand times...I like the collage approach.
Highly recommended: http://www.ubu.com/sound/mcluhan.html

Anything on par with Michael Corbin, Dave Emory Spitfire Grill or even Red Ice Creation's interviews?
I just cant take typical liberal talk radio much anymore with how in the box it is.
