This one almost sounds like Eminem.

Hazy as hell here in sultry Seattle from the fires up in BC. The sunset was blood red tonight as you can imagine. Looks like Elvis' neck of the woods is twice as thick as here (a little north). Oh and sorry, BC and all affected. I knew the fires were huge but I just hadn't seen the smoke drift down here yet until today. Also, today is day 46 since the last rain in Seattle with no end in sight. The record is 51 days. This record will be shattered. Bring on the clouds! Something. . .

Wow, 82, I didn't know BC was on fire like that. I'm sitting in the dust of a 3 week drought that will hopefully end before it is a repeat of last year when we had a 3 month drought.

Sucks to live with the reality of global warming whilst our thievin "leaders" joke about it's existence.

Wishing everyone that needs it rain and bows.

Brother, I’ve seen some

By KABIR
(Translated from the Hindi by Arvind Krishna Mehrotra)

Brother, I’ve seen some
Astonishing sights:

A lion keeping watch
Over pasturing cows;

A mother delivered
After her son was;

A guru prostrated
Before his disciple;

Fish spawning
On treetops;

A cat carrying away
A dog;

A gunny-sack
Driving a bullock-cart;

A buffalo going out to graze,
Sitting on a horse;

A tree with its branches in the earth,
Its roots in the sky;

A tree with flowering roots.

This verse, says Kabir,
Is your key to the universe.
If you can figure it out.

^^^Thanks for the beautiful poem Blue.

Hope fires under control, smoke lessening, and drought over soon.

SOMETIMES THE SKY'S TOO BRIGHT

Sometimes the sky's too bright,
Or has too many clouds or birds,
And far away's too sharp a sun
To nourish thinking of him.
Why is my hand too blunt
To cut in front of me
My horrid images for me,
Of over-fruitful smiles,
The weightless touching of the lip
I wish to know
I cannot lift, but can,
The creature with the angel's face
Who tells me hurt,
And sees my body go
Down into misery?
No stopping. Put the smile
Where tears have come to dry.
The angel's hurt is left;
His telling burns.

Sometimes a woman's heart has salt,
Or too much blood;
I tear her breast,
And see the blood is mine,
Flowing from her, but mine,
And then I think
Perhaps the sky's too bright;
And watch my hand,
But do not follow it,
And feel the pain it gives,
But do not ache.
