Just witnessed the most hideous thing: inmate crew tearing homeless tents in liberal West coast USA under the watchful eye of armed sheriffs.


For-profit prison labor is prohibited by the International Labor Organization (Convention 29, to which the US does not adhere), it's considered slavery.

This indignity to the inmates as well as the people who lived in those tents is worth 1$ a day.

There was a makeshift camp all along where the travelers from the cruise liners would get downtown in their cabs and buses. As soon as "cruise season" started it just disappeared. I have no idea where to or how. It had to have been in the dark of night.
