CNN Headline News threatens Razor Wire Camps for Muslims

Postby Gouda » Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:13 am

FAIR is far too nice with Glenn Beck, and CNN, in my opinion...

After you take the Mexican consulates to task for their crimes against the people of Oaxaca and Atenco, call up CNN and give them a piece of your mind too.

Flirting With Fascism on CNN Headline News
Host Glenn Beck threatens Muslims with concentration camps

http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=3014

12/5/06

The New York Times (12/4/06), profiling new CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck, called him "brash" and "opinionated," with an "unfiltered approach." The conservative talk-radio host-turned-cable news announcer, the paper reported, "take[s] credit for saying what others are feeling but are afraid to say."

The Times mentioned one of the things Beck has said recently, to newly elected U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), a Muslim: "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies." But as press critic Eric Alterman pointed out (Altercation, 12/4/06), as offensive as that question is, it doesn't begin to suggest the poisonousness of Beck's rhetoric about Muslims.

On his August 10 radio show, distributed by Clear Channel's Premiere Radio Networks, Beck told listeners, "The world is on the brink of World War III," then issued this warning:

All you Muslims who have sat on your frickin' hands the whole time and have not been marching in the streets and have not been saying, 'Hey, you know what? There are good Muslims and bad Muslims. We need to be the first ones in the recruitment office lining up to shoot the bad Muslims in the head.' I'm telling you, with God as my witness... human beings are not strong enough, unfortunately, to restrain themselves from putting up razor wire and putting you on one side of it. When things—when people become hungry, when people see that their way of life is on the edge of being over, they will put razor wire up and just based on the way you look or just based on your religion, they will round you up. Is that wrong? Oh my gosh, it is Nazi, World War II wrong, but society has proved it time and time again: It will happen.

On September 5, Beck took the same message to his CNN Headline News audience, declaring, "In 10 years, Muslims and Arabs will be looking through a razor wire fence at the West." He explained:

Since 9/11, Americans have gotten so fed up with the "yes, but" Muslims. The "yes, but" Muslims are the ones who show up on talkshows and in the media and say, "Yes, terrorism is bad, but"—and then they go through a list of reasons on why we should try and sympathize with people who fly planes into buildings.... If, God forbid, there's another attack, we won't have anymore patience for the "yes, buts." The Muslim community better find a spokesman who isn't a "yes, but" Muslim. They shouldn't even understand the word "but," because if they don't, when things heat up, the profiling will only get worse, and the razor wire will be coming.

Beck went on to say:

You want the profiling to stop? Then, here's an idea. Stop murdering innocent people. Stop excusing the people who do. You do that for a while, and I guarantee you won't have any more problems at the airports. Stop blowing stuff up and the world just might be your oyster. Otherwise, it's going to be like that movie, The Siege. You remember that movie? The Muslims will see the West through razor wire if things don't change.

He concluded:

Look, I'm not saying all Arabs and Muslims are anti-American. Far from it. We should get to know these people and embrace the good Muslims, and eliminate the bad ones. Here's what I don't know. I don't know if the Muslim community will ever step to the plate like the Japanese-American community did during World War II. You know, it was absolutely disgraceful how we rounded innocent people up then and, sadly, history has a way of repeating itself no matter how grotesque that history might be. The Muslim community can prevent this if they act now.

When Beck is talking about "razor wire," he's talking about concentration camps—in the original sense of the word, places where masses of people are imprisoned "just based on the way you look or just based on your religion." Despite his (perfectly accurate) observation that such camps are "Nazi, World War II wrong," comparable to the "absolutely disgraceful" wartime interment of Japanese-Americans, Beck is clearly using the threat of such camps to coerce Muslims into behavior he approves of, like volunteering "to shoot the bad Muslims in the head."

Since the overwhelming majority of U.S. Muslims are neither "murdering innocent people" nor "excusing the people who do," there's really nothing that they can do to avert Beck's threat that "the razor wire will be coming." And Beck is explicit that there's nothing non-Muslims can do to avoid locking Muslims up en masse.

The New York Times, in its profile about Beck, refers to his criticism of the animated film Happy Feet, but fails to mention that he uses his Headline News slot to issue threats that he himself compares to Nazi behavior. For the Times, CNN's decision to give Beck a TV show is a "success," because he "has increased the ratings in his 7 p.m. time period 60 percent among all viewers, and 84 percent among viewers aged 25 to 54."

The Times article quoted CNN executive Kenneth Jautz as saying that the network did not take Beck's politics into account when it hired him. "We did not set out to have anyone from any particular view fronting these shows," he said. In fact, CNN hired Beck knowing that the host's repertoire included hateful attacks--the Hurricane Katrina refugees seen on TV and the father of a terrorism victim were both "scumbags" (Mediamatters.org, 5/17/04, 9/9/05)--as well as a disturbing preoccupation with violence: Beck has told his listeners that he was praying for a gruesome death for Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (3/16/03), and that he was fantasizing about strangling filmmaker Michael Moore to death (5/17/05). As FAIR predicted (FAIR Action Alert, 1/18/06), Beck has not changed his repellent tune simply because he's been hired by a major media outlet.

Contrary to Beck's suggestion, there are things that the people of the U.S. can do to avoid repeating the "grotesque" history of Japanese-American internment. One of these things is to take people seriously when they start threatening people with concentration camps—rather than looking the other way because of their ratings "success."

ACTION: Please contact CNN/U.S. president Jonathan Klein and urge him to condemn Glenn Beck's chilling threats against Muslims.

Remember George HW Bush's comment recently, something about the sad state of hateful rhetoric lately? Beck, Limbaugh, Coulter....I had to laugh, since it's his family that owns responsibility for that rhetoric. Anybody have the exact quote?

Nazis get viewers? This is a justification? Oh, of course. What was I thinking?
CIA runs mainstream media since WWII:
news rooms, movies/TV, publishing

why

Postby Nordic » Thu Dec 07, 2006 2:55 am

Why doesn't somebody just beat the living shit out of somebody like Glen Beck? And the others? All these hatemongers who live by their swords.

I say let 'em "die by the sword" and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Seriously, why as a culture do we put up with this kind of shit?

These people are REWARDED with fame and fortune, literally, for being hatemongering fascists.

What kind of fuckd up world is this where we let this happen?

You think it's an accident that guys like this get paid a huge salary and have access to a national audience? Do you know how many thousands of talented, experiences people would give their right arm for even a fraction of what is handed to this Beck butthole? He's doing what his employers WANT him to do, don't kid yourself. The corporate media, in tandem with your government, is conditioning people to be Nazis, from childhood onwards. It's working.

I think we should organize a calling blitz. We should burn their lines 24/7 and complain about hate propaganda, racial profiling, and blatant lies. I'm going to look up their contact information right now. Back later with the links. dbd

If this country had any balls, if this country had any sense of decency, any sense of right and wrong, and any desire to actually DEFEND ITSELF, it would rise up and shut down each and every one of these propaganda institutions like CNN and FOX and the rest of them.

Then we would grab people like Beck and Hannity and Coulter off the streets, we would tar and feather them and we would dump them in the ocean and tell them to swim to another country.

This country is so far gone. It's so far over the edge. It's so dead and people don't even know it. This country is like a ghost -- it doesn't realize it's fucking DEAD.

This country is an embarrassment to itself.

MASONIC PLOT

Postby Gouda » Fri Dec 08, 2006 7:55 am

Nordic, I fully sympathize with the outrage you (and most of us feel), but I do not know you well enough, and so I am not sure if you are sincere in calling for Americans to well up their balls to beat and drown guys like Beck, which sounds just like...Beck. Or if you are being more figurative than literal. Maybe Beck also means to be understood in more "figurative" terms. Let's not find out.

MP is right: Beck is a sickening, ignorant SOB. Here's the difference though: CNN/Time Warner are also sickening - but they are not ignorant. They chose to hire a sickening, ignorant guy - to give him a megaphone. CNN/Time Warner are fully calculating - and they control the purse - and thus earn quite a bit more vitriol from me. Alice the Kurious is right: Beck at CNN/Time Warner is no accident.

Perhaps Nordic can offer us some creative ways to drown fascist corporate behemoths like CNN/Time Warner as well, while also educating the public who drive these ratings. Drown Beck and you merely snuff out a mouthpiece, a pop star. The studio will find others to confirm the biases of an ignorant, ill-treated, collectively abused, atomized public. The studio needs to be de-legitimized, de-funded, de-monetized and de-militarized. That might offer some relief from the propaganda onslaught, providing some space to continue public education efforts.

The Invisible War on Humanity

Postby NavnDansk » Sat Dec 09, 2006 5:24 am

The Invisible War on Humanity
An article from: Rare Insights

Today we find ourselves living in progressively more turbulent and stressful times. Sensitive persons, and even the more discerning man-of-the-masses, are now feeling the increasing pressure and influence of unwholesome forces and powers arising, as prophesied, to maintain and reinforce their dominion in these end-times. The ongoing agenda to suppress genuine spiritual awareness and experience is intensifying; greater and more cunning efforts are being made to reduce the potential for freedom from the systems of physical and occult control that fashion and manipulate human society on Earth.

This is a subject, though frightening to many, that we have long sought to expound in the world as a necessary warning of what vision had apprised us of much earlier, knowing that a point in time would arrive when many more people would become conscious of these influences, and so seek understanding. For although, due to enhanced communications such as the Internet etc., humanity is being made aware of the more tangible methods of propaganda via the media, politics, economics and military activity, far fewer people are to date educated regarding the more subtle and surreptitious dynamics of the hidden or invisible onslaught upon the collective human consciousness.

In our times of potential world-awakening and spiritual realization, a discriminating portion of humanity is striving to disengage as much as possible from "the matrix*", at least in thought and aspiration, which, unlike the physical level of our being, is possible even if challenging to do. However, such a disconnection and readjustment in one's inner life and attitude brings about peculiar ramifications and responses from the pervasive intelligence of the matrix itself, and these are today bearing down on mankind as the inevitable world-tension increases.

* The Matrix: an accurate metaphorical term borrowed from the deeply allegorical movie of the same name.

Some of the hostile reactions of the living, intelligent matrix and its ceaslessly active, incorporeal servants to any genuine effort to disengage are quite recognizable to the informed mind and certainly experienced by the sensitive. The person who has become aware and who is therefore naturally moving in a contrary direction to the dying world-order might experience periods of a darkening of consciousness that is impossible to explain by worldly reasoning alone and which may last for hours, weeks or longer, only to suddenly evaporate, affording the victim much needed and precious time to recover.

Agitation and psychic stress, doubt, guilt, self-depreciating thoughts, confusion and an inability to think clearly; physiological effects such as headaches, heart palpitations and insomnia; disorienting thought-impressions, 'voices', and thought-loops, extreme bodily heaviness and enervation identical to the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), listlessness and depression... these are just some of the symptoms caused by the growing, reactive hostilities of the matrix to souls who are struggling to become free or who carry Light....

In Data Dump excellent posts on who is behind

Postby NavnDansk » Sat Dec 09, 2006 5:43 am

In Data Dump excellent posts on who is behind the monsters trying to turn Americans into Nazis starting with children with control of the media:

Can we presume that Operation Mockingbird is alive and well and MASSIVE, virtually comprehensive of every single media presentation that we hear and see?

Virtually everything?

In addition, with the release of information about Ben Bradlee

(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben...nment_work and www.rense.com/politics5/mole.htm), doesn't

this information COMPLETELY change the nature of "The Official Narrative" about Watergate?

Doesn't it look like Watergate was a CIA coup ... or a CIA coverup of something much bigger than Watergate?

What's the current status of Operation Mockingbird?

Why WOULDN'T any media figure want to discuss Operation Mockingbird?

Really, folks, is there ANY more important topic than Operation

Mockingbird?

http://rigorousintuition.ca/board/viewt ... 602c74f6d7

Does anyone have ideas on what Watergate really covered up besides the assassination of JFK?

Laura Ingraham urged listeners to jam the phone
TITLE 42 > CHAPTER 20 > SUBCHAPTER I > § 1971 § 1971. Voting rights

(b) Intimidation, threats, or coercion
No person, whether acting under color of law or otherwise, shall intimidate, threaten, coerce, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, or coerce any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for, any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, or Member of the House of Representatives, Delegates or Commissioners from the Territories or possessions, at any general, special, or primary election held solely or in part for the purpose of selecting or electing any such candidate.

Say goodnight for a long time.
===

She pretends patriotism and then tries to suppress the vote, the heart of democracy.

She is a hypocrite and probably has committed a felony.

I wonder why her hyper patriotic audience doesn't condemn her?

Because their "patriotism" is actually just packaged class hatred which she stokes.

=
I really hope this gets pursued by Leahy and others as well. I want to see Ms. Ingraham sweating bullets and her carefully applied makeup running in rivulets down her face. That is one mean, vicious woman and she has lived off of ridiculing, lying, smearing Democrats. It's payback time--and she does not have a way out that I can see on this. Always happens with these idiots--they get carried away with their power and reach and end up over-reaching bigtime. It will be fun to see her go down.

==Try checking YouTube or Media Matters' web site. I did hear the clip--someone had it as part of a diary here on Nov. 7. You might try using the "search" function here as well to find the diary--and then you'll get the link to the audio as well. She DID indeed incite people to jam that phone line and those people you talked to at that radio station are flat out lying. Shame on them.

---
It's time to put a stop to this nonsense. I resent Laura and her ilk using the public airwaves (my property!) to sabotage an election and saturate the air with hate. I think I will drop a note to the FCC.
----

Contact Talk Radio Network, and demand Ingraham's suspension or termination in light of the potential investigation. Their affiliate relations number is (888) 383-3733. Emails can be sent to affiliates@talkradionetwork.com.

Laura, Go See Senator Leahy A certain former district attorney wants to have a chat with you. Good that someone wants to clean up the elections.

=She advocated and aided in phonejamming!!
Him... what happend to the latest one? Oh, here:

Former telemarketer pleads guilty in GOP phone jamming

By Beverley Wang, Associated Press Writer | November 15, 2006

CONCORD, N.H. --A former telemarketer has agreed to plead guilty to his role in a Republican phone jamming plot against state Democrats four years ago.
...

No sentencing date was posted. The charges carry a total maximum sentence of seven years in prison and $500,000 fine.
...
[in addition] Three former Republican officials were convicted in the phone jamming plot. [thus far]
....

[emphasis mine]
==
Big Difference in What Inghram Did...
Boycott: In the words of Lawrence Peter Berra "If people don't want to come out to the ball park, nobody's gonna stop 'em." A boycott is merely a call for people to not attend an event, not shop at a store, not to ride on a transit system. It's not calling them committ an act of electronic vandalism, it's just encouraging people not to do something.

Filibuster: Using the parlimentary rules of a legislative body to keep something from happening. While a filibuster may seem extreme to some, it is totally within the rules and therefore in keeping with checks and balances of republican government.

Calling to jam the telephone lines of a duely constituted political party through the use of that portion of the electromagnetic spectrum reserved by our government as public airwaves is considerably different from the aformentioned actions. Boycotts and filibusters generally are not broadcast on the public airwaves and are not calls for illegal action through a medium held in the public trust. I basically see it as the equivalent of the Watergate conspirators breaking into the Democratic headquarters. Inghram used the public airwaves in a effort to subvert the legal actions of a major political party who was using a telephone system to insure the integrity of the electoral process. INMO, that is the line that Inghram crossed over.

---
Anything ever come of Filing a complaint with the DC Bar Association to have her license to practice law suspended or terminated?

=Maybe complain to the FCC? I can't believe it is legal to use the airwaves to obstruct the democratic process, or obstruct justice (in that the Dems can't find out about crimes in the ballot box in order to contact the authorities). At least it shouldn't be.

Yes indeed, we need the Fairness Doctrine back NOW!
=wouldn't this fall into the same category as a DDOS attack on a website?

Yup It's essentially the same thing. Overloading phones to prevent their intended use is the same as doing that to a server. The means of disruption is different, the result the same.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/11/17/1532/6273

If you imagine yourself in her position with all of her syndication deals, staff, responsibilities and concerns, what would Laura enjoy the least? Is that something you can discuss or would the watchers freeeeaaaak?

Is contacting TRN or any stations that carry her show the most effective way we have of censuring her and making sure it doesn't happen again? Should we make a complaint to the FCC, contact lawmakers or take any other action? What would you dislike the most?

I've heard that a complaint to the FCC with copies sent to to one or more stations that carry the show can be helpful.

==
This piece of garbage must be made an example of, for the sake of legality and the right to vote. The charges: (1) deliberately and intentionally interfering with voters' rights; (2) instigating phone piracy and abuse of phone services.

Then the robocallers must be made an example too by pursuing criminal and/or civil charges under four counts:
