'My husband is planning an accident in my car': Diana's sensational letter is revealed in full

20 December 2007

A handwritten letter from Princess Diana claiming that Prince Charles was plotting to kill her was shown to her inquest yesterday.

In the note, sent to her butler Paul Burrell, Diana suggested that her husband was "planning an accident in my car".

She also made the astonishing suggestion that Camilla Parker Bowles was just a "decoy" while Charles's real desire was to marry William and Harry's nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke.

A copy of the letter has previously been published, but the references to "my husband" and to Miss Legge-Bourke were blacked out. The uncensored version was revealed to the public after being read to the London hearing into the death of Diana and her lover Dodi Fayed.

It was sent in October 1993, ten months after Charles and Diana's separation was announced. Handwritten in black pen, it reads: "I am sitting at my desk today longing for someone to hug me and encourage me to keep strong and hold my head high.

"This particular phase in my life is the most dangerous. My husband is planning an accident in my car, brake failure or some serious head injury in order to make the path clear for him to marry Tiggy. Camilla is nothing more than a decoy so we are being used by the man in every sense of the word."

...

The inquest had earlier heard claims that the letter is a fake.

Lucia Flecha de Lima, a close friend of the princess, said the butler was "perfectly capable of imitating" her handwriting.

She added: "I still don't believe in it. I still don't believe she was fearing for her life, especially from Prince Charles, the future king of your country."

makes me smile to imagine Diana worrying about being held down by "the man."

May she rest in peace.

"I am sitting here at my desk today in October" does sound backdated.

Yet the Mail misquotes "I am sitting at my desk today longing"

I'll write something on the long thread, but would draw your attention here:

It was sent in October 1993, ten months after Charles and Diana's separation was announced.

The Telegraph says the same.

Paul Burrell, in his book, was quite clear that the date was October 1996. Ten months before she died.

Then, under pressure from Lord Stevens, he seemed willing to admit it could have been October 1995.

Now the Mail and the Telegraph are putting it two years earlier still.

Never mind.
Times to the rescue:

From The Times

Diana letter claimed that Prince wanted her murdered
Ben Quinn
A handwritten letter in which Diana, Princess of Wales, claimed that her husband was planning to kill her was revealed in full for the first time yesterday at the inquest into her death.

Written by the Princess in October 1996, she told of her belief that the Prince of Wales wanted her dead so he could marry Tiggy Legge-Bourke, a nanny to Princes William and Harry.

Who to believe?
Who's a conspiracy researcher to trust?

Mind you. One thing they are all agreed about is that this is the first time this has been revealed "in full".

"MY HUSBAND IS PLANNING AN ACCIDENT"

Jan 6 2004

By JANE KERR, Royal Reporter

PRINCESS Diana believed Prince Charles wanted her killed in an accident when she was plagued by anxiety and feared for her safety.

She told of her worries in her now infamous note which she handed to butler Paul Burrell as "insurance" on the day she wrote it in October
1996, 10 months before she died in a Paris car crash.

Burrell censored the note when he disclosed its existence in his book last year by blanking the words "my husband" from the text.

The full text, revealed for the first time, now reads: "This particular phase of my life is the most dangerous - my husband is planning 'an
accident' in my car, brake failure & serious head injury in order to make the path clear for him to marry."

The Daily Mirror - not Burrell - has decided to publish the blanked out name because it will inevitably appear in the public domain.

"...nothing more than a decoy..."

Um, telegraph for Mr. Jones?

This hand-written note reminds me of the discrediting of information by putting it in a possibly forged document to create doubt about the authenticity as in Dan Rather vs W's war record kerfuffle.

One clever 'Big Con' scenario would be to forge this warning, cause the accident and kill her on scene or in ambulance, then delay and draw out the inevitable rising sense of scandal to let the cover story take only to eventually cap suspicious inquiry by exposing the forgery.

Good enough for government work. And this has been done a few times atleast, I think.

Guess it would be too obvious to kill Diana in a major historical incident, like scheduling her for a meeting on the top floors of the World Trade Center the morning of 9/11/01 as Fergie was. That would've made Blair's job so much easier and perhaps avoided the Downing Street Memo and David Kelly embarassments.

Well there's no doubt that the man who created the 1989-2001 al qaeda/Osama legend we came to know, John Oneil was deliberately killed. The guy quits the FBI as the top counter terror expert after endless harassment and being told to stop investigating terror groups, then hes offered a job as head of security at WTC, where day one on his job 9/11 happens.

Hugh is going to hate this one...

But...

what are the chances of Princess Di's car being diverted from the usual route, into a tunnel infamous for its bloody historical significance, the cameras mysterious shutting off, and her car slamming into
the 13th pilar, directly under this:

16 years later, new dark hints in Princess Diana death

By Michael Pearson and Atika Shubert, CNN August 17, 2013 -- Updated 2148 GMT (0548 HKT)

London (CNN) -- New hints of conspiracy in the death of Princess Diana have royal watchers buzzing once again, nearly 16 years after the woman who would now be a royal grandmother died in a Paris car crash.

London police said Saturday that its investigators were assessing the "relevance and credibility" of information it had recently received about the deaths -- information the agency did not describe in its statement.

But Press Association reported that what London police are mulling is an allegation raised by the former parents-in-law of a former British soldier claiming a member of the British military murdered Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed and their driver, all of whom died in the August 31, 1997, crash.

Press Association did not provide a source for its information, but said that British military police reportedly passed the information to London investigators.

"This is not a re-investigation," London police stressed in a statement.

Diana's Death: Police Handed New Information
Scotland Yard says it is assessing new information on the death of Princess Diana to determine its "relevance and credibility".5:14am UK, Sunday 18 August 2013

New information that alleges Princess Diana was murdered has been passed to Scotland Yard through military sources, it has emerged.

The information, thought to include the allegation that the Princess of Wales, Dodi al Fayed and their driver were killed by a member of the British military, will be assessed by officers from the Specialist Crime and Operations Command.

According to Sky sources it was given to the police by the former parents-in-law of a former soldier.

The deaths of Princess Diana and Mr al Fayed in Paris in 1997 were investigated and examined during a 90-day inquest led by Lord Justice Scott Baker at the Royal Court of Justice in 2007.

On April 7, 2008, the jury concluded their verdict as "unlawful killing, grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles and of the Mercedes".

Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed leaving the Ritz Hotel on August 31, 1997
The Metropolitan Police said its assessment was not a re-investigation and does not come under Operation Paget, the inquiry led by Lord Stevens into conspiracy theories surrounding Princess Diana and Mr al Fayed's deaths.

A royal spokeswoman said there will be no comment on the matter from Prince William or Prince Harry, or from Clarence House.

After the inquest, the Metropolitan Police said it had spent £8m on services arising from it and the Operation Paget investigation from 2004 to 2006.

Former Met Police commissioner Lord Stevens published his report in December 2006, rejecting claims that Princess Diana and Mr al Fayed had been murdered.

The wreckage of the Mercedes the pair were travelling in when it crashed
Sky's Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said: "We understand this information includes an allegation that Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed and the driver of their car were killed by a member of the British military.

"The information we're told was passed to Scotland Yard quite recently. It also includes, we understand, references to something known as Diana's diary.

"These are very early days, the information has just come in, and Scotland Yard is adamant in saying that this is not a reopening of its investigation from 2004 when it spent three years looking into the circumstances of the Princess' death.

"But it is taking the information seriously and it is considering and it is possible that a new investigation may open."

Princess Diana, Mr al Fayed and their driver Henri Paul died after the Mercedes crashed in a Paris tunnel on August 31, 1997.

Diana was 36 at the time of her death and Mr al Fayed, the son of former Harrods owner Mohamed al Fayed, 42.

I'll give you my simplistic take on it, fwiw.

As a primer, the financial crisis and what has happened in its wake has raised a lot of questions in people's minds. No prosecutions? No change in the way it operates? The same players, playing the same game - and getting away with it again and again? But this has literally been the catalyst for many people to question the fundamental beliefs of their society - if a section of our society has this much power, to be untouchable, what are the underlying mechanisms of control in place that allow this system to continue operating in plain sight, but tacitly unacknowledged and unchecked?

Have we missed lots of clues that were touted by the establishment media as innocuous and unprovable at the time, but in the light of ongoing current revelations - are worth revisiting? This is a question that hardly needs asking at a place like RI, but what if wider societal forces are beginning to wonder?

On the morning that I awoke to the newsreader announcing the death of Diana Spencer, my wife beside me cried for Diana. I was affected deeply too, but I didn't understand why - I am no Royalist, considering the Royal family to be anachronistic in this day and age. At the time, my thinking was considered heresy by the majority of society - or at least that's how perception in the media portrays it. I mourned not for Diana, but for the realisation that our system was capable of removing not only one of their own to further their ends, but to get away with it.

And herein still lies the rub - the removal of Diana or JFK, or the removal of commoners like Micheal Hastings has, for the last few decades, not directly impacted our day-to-day lives, but the overall direction in which we have allowed ourselves to be led by these events has. Admitting to oneself that whilst life with family and friends and the people around you is great, but at the same time admitting that the direction we as a whole are led towards is disastrous, requires enormous cognitive dissonance. And varying degrees of apathy. And a little resignation.

But the act of dissonance requires mental effort and that effort is taking it's toll. The balancing act inside many heads is becoming burnt out.

The collapsing Financial System. Fukushima. Iraq. Afghanistan. Libya. Syria. Egypt. Political liars. Greedy corporations. Militarized police. The Surveillance State. GMO. Climate Change. Extinctions.

There comes a point where to ignore is perilous. The status quo can remain intact as long as it looks better than the alternatives.

Someone, somewhere, with information about the killing of Diana, has sat on this info until the time was ripe, in their mind, to release it. It may be that the information they hold reveals what an intricate charade the whole thing is - and that the 'joy of the UK nation' at another royal birth has tipped their dissonance just enough towards exposing injustice. It may be too early, it may be brushed aside again, but to the people out there that doubt the official version, it's another chance to consider, and come to terms with, the ramifications of an expose that must be faced if things are to change.

Diana letter: were the SAS involved in her death?

Exclusive: As police investigate claims that the British military may have been involved in the death of Princess Diana, Channel 4 News has seen the letter in question.
Diana letter: were the SAS involved in her death?

The letter, written in 2011 by the parents-in-law of an unidentified SAS soldier known only as Soldier N, includes a claim that the SAS were involved with the death of Princess Diana.

Channel 4 News has seen the letter in connection with the second court martial of another SAS soldier, sniper Sgt Danny Nightingale who was found guilty of illegally possessing a gun and ammunition.

The focus of the letter is about the man who went on to be Sgt Danny Nightingale's housemate and who was also one of the Service Prosecuting Authority’s (SPA) key witnesses at the Nightingale court martial, Soldier N.

It was the XXX who arranged Princess Diana’s death and that has been covered up - extract from letter about Soldier N

During the trial the letter was handed to the SPA and sections which mentioned names or identifying details were redacted before it was released to the court.

In the letter, the parents-in-law of Soldier N begged the commanding officer of the SAS to intervene as Soldier N was allegedly threatening to kill them and intimidate their daughter.

The parents-in-law also wrote about the circumstances surrounding Princess Diana's death, saying:

"He also told her [the daughter] that it was the XXX who arranged Princess Diana’s death and that has been covered up.

"So what chance do my daughter and I stand against his threats?"
A box for 'private jobs'

The author of the letter also writes how Soldier N had threatened their daughter saying he could make her "disappear" and warned her of the existence of a box that some of the members of the SAS used for "private jobs".

The letter states:

"They put in the box the name, address and details of what they want done and then one of them who wants to earn extra money takes the details out of the box and does that job."

They then ask the commanding officer if the names and contact details of their family are in the box.

The seven-page hand-written letter also makes reference to another member of the SAS who allegedly shot his wife and family. It states: "He reminded my daughter of a man ... who had matrimonial trouble and he went home and shot her and the family."

It alleges that Soldier N had admitted to the family that he had killed women and children during his time in the SAS:

"He insists on telling us about his killing escapades whilst working in his job. How he has killed women and children and a priest, whose big toe kept on wiggling although he was dead."

Soldier N recently completed a two-year term in military prison after admitting to keeping a Glock pistol, a grenade and ammunition at his home. The letter references numerous occasions when he had military equipment at his home.

"He has been frightening my daughter by bringing guns into the home. Laying them out in a row on the lounge carpet and saying lets invite friends round because he wants to show people. She found a gun in the under stairs cupboard. He had a gun in his car and in his bedside cabinet... we have been told by him that he is allowed to do this because of the job he does."

The letter has now been handed to the Metropolitan Police.

The allegations if true, ask some serious questions of Soldier N's mental state of health. On one occasion he allegedly mistook his child for a member of the Taliban. Another time he allegedly hid from a motorbike which was driving down the road because "he thought someone was after him".

The parents-in-law said: "We have said for sometime that this man is not presenting with normal behaviour and yet we were told he is fine. No doubt he is good at his job but he can't switch off and he brings the job home and treats us all very badly. There are times when we have been petrified."

They then request the help of the army, stating: "You have trained him and as such I feel that the army should step in and take some responsibility here."

Scotland Yard said: "The Metropolitan Police Service is scoping information that has recently been received in relation to the deaths and assessing its relevance and credibility.

"The assessment will be carried out by officers from the specialist crime and operations command. This is not a re-investigation and does not come under Operation Paget."

The Ministry of Defence said it was not commenting and it was now a matter for civilian authorities.

A 2008 Inquest jury returned an unlawful killing verdict on the death of Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed.

Channel 4 News does not know the identity of Soldier N and we cannot independently verify of the allegations of his behaviour.
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Diana, that SAS murder claim and why it may not be as mad as you think: 16 years on, the conspiracy theories won't go away. Sue Reid, who's studied all the evidence, has found tantalising new clues.

.
coffin_dodger, fwiw, further to my earlier mention of a realization that things were amiss wrt Diana's death, I'll share something that involves extraordinary woo. On the Wednesday night of 27 August, 1997, I has a lucid dream in which I was present at a briefing in a french hotel where a group of us were provided details of a mission to happen on the 30th. At the end of the briefing, the speaker who sat at a desk in front of us, about 15 to 20 men, asked if there were any questions. I made a crack that I thought this was an MI5 operation and everyone laughed, as though I was cheeky in stating what was obvious but should not be spoken of.

Later in a military style mess, I was in a que lining up for my meal when I saw Diana hoisting the north korean flag. I remember thinking that she will get in trouble for this. Then media photographers came to me and wanted to take pictures and do a story on me,...I remember wondering why am I famous all of a sudden?

Now the dream was so very vivid and extraordinary, I could not get it out of my mind and felt that something definitely was going to happen. I told my girlfriend about it and we discussed what it could mean. On the sunday I was at home just after midday when I got a phone call from her to ask if I had heard the news, she was a nurse and called form work, I told her no and so she told me that my dream was real,..turn on the TV.

Now for some synchronicity, I've always been interested in geopolitics and around the same time, I heard the news of the defection of the DPRK ambassador in Cairo to the US in the week leading up to the death of Diana. I didn't at the time make any connection with my dream. Later I became aware that the Cairo ambassador's brother, who was at the Paris embassy, also defected at the same time. I later learnt that ambassador was top man involved with DPRK missile sales to Arab regimes. Later again, I learnt that Dodi's mother was the sister of well known arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi.

I put 2 and 2 together and I could now see that Diana's relationship with Dodi would definitely be a real concern to western security services.

So you would understand if I tell you that I am 99.9 percent sure Diana was assassinated.

I used to have very detailed information on the DPRK defections, but over the years of replacing computers and passing loss of interest, have no more, but I found this with a quick google...
