A Very British Thread (2019 election)

Postby JackRiddler » Wed Dec 11, 2019 7:02 pm

Does the world end on 12/12 after all?

This may be a short one, but I hope it's the miracle victory thread.

The polling stations are open. I'm off to vote. The change begins today.

When I expressed my hope that maybe we are at a tipping point concerning the possibly already obsolete polling models, our dear Absentee Landlord recently pointed out on The Creepiness That Is Facebook that millions of people have registered to vote in the UK very close to Election Day.

The exit poll results will be published immediately as the polls close at 10pm GMT. Gonna be a long night here in Old Europe.

‘Longest queues ever’ as people stand in line around the block to vote

"full of young people". Some amazing pictures at the link (Metro - a free paper in London). Queues that length are practically unprecedented. A very high turnout could be very good news for Corbyn.

Indeed. Signs point to something momentous.

Would that this were the one upset that goes left. The right has had too many, all over.

Terrifying result based on the exit polls. Tories set to have a majority of 86.

Corbyn is out. Batten down the hatches.
