Elder Bush will not attend Kennedy funeral

Good point, whipstitch. :thumbsup001:

Probably for the best considering his last performance at a funeral service...

Pulling The Thread
Image
As the great American journalist Hunter S. Thompson once famously wrote regarding the end of another era:

...with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark -- the place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

That was the way that I felt after hearing George Herbert Walker Bush’s rambling and bizarre eulogy for former President and reliable fixer Gerald Ford when the father of the current delusional, reviled and increasingly isolated occupant of the White House remarked:

After a deluded gunman assassinated President Kennedy, our nation turned to Gerald Ford and a select handful of others to make sense of that madness. And the conspiracy theorists can say what they will, but the Warren Commission report will always have the final definitive say on this tragic matter. Why? Because Jerry Ford put his name on it and Jerry Ford’s word was always good.

That was the moment when I finally realized that we are winning the info wars. That the corruption was too systemic, the damage too great and the slow and agonizing deaths of the propaganda and lies of the ruling elitist fascists and their insane ideology through the thousands of cuts inflicted by the bloggers, the citizen journalists and the independent researchers had finally reached critical mass and the tipping point for the depraved oligarchs was rapidly approaching, it is just over the horizon. The ship of fools of the right-wing crackpots, the theocrats, the blood barters and the great Republican machine was rudderless and destined for the rocks. The cancer had metastasized and had become terminal, the near half-century methodical subversion and erosion of democracy by bloodthirsty rogue operators like 'Poppy' and his masters was doomed.

The old man’s babbling over Ford’s service to the Warren Commission that covered up the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was so freakish, so out of place and so paranoid at what was a dignified sendoff as opposed to the over the top weeklong national freak show that accompanied the demise of Ronald Reagan that it was stunning in it’s magnitude. Poppy has been slowly unraveling over the last month or so with his attack on bloggers , his embarassing display of blubbering at an appearance in honor of smarter although corrupt and immoral son Jeb whose tenure as Florida's strongman Governor was ending and was to be the heir to the keys to the Bush dynasty until a cadre of fanatical ideological parasites latched onto the far more easily manipulated George W. as their host and now the strange segue into the JFK assassination during Ford’s memorial services add up to more than just an wimpy elder going through an emotional crisis after his eldest has pissed away the family franchise and spat on the Iraq Study Group's attempted intervention intervention. There is something much deeper in all of this, he knows that the jig may soon be up.

After all, the father Bush and by extension the Bush family has a long history of sleazy covert operations and connections who have engaged in borderline treasonous activities. Bush family patriarch Prescott Bush’s company was shut down by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt under the Trading With The Enemies Act for doing business the Nazis during World War II ,Operation Zapata ( and disconcerting rumors have long been circulating that perhaps Poppy himself may have played a part in ‘That Bay of Pigs Thing’ that culminated in the assassination of JFK in Dealy Plaza back in November of 63.

And there is the wonderful serendipity of the recent deaths and executions of many former associates of Le Enfant Terrible’s daddy (Saddam Hussein, Augusto Pinochet, Gerald Ford) could be a signal that it’s time for accounts to be settled. The posse is closing in now that the varmints are being smoked out with thousands more becoming informed by the day. That nice little land deal down in Paraguay is very convenient (real close to the land where many of Grandpa Prescott's Nazi buddies settled after the war) and likely looking like a very prudent investment for the Bush crime family who may be cannily eyeing an opportunity to flee before it is they who are standing in the dock for their long history of anti-American activities.

There are now literally thousands of points of light pulling on the thread and day by day it is all unraveling: the original October Surprise, arming Saddam, BCCI, Iran-Contra, 9/11, the sham Washington Times of which there has been speculation that the newspaper owned by the infamous Reverend Sun Myung Moon that has 'lost' billions of dollars under his ownership is being used for money laundering and the Mockingbird style planting of stories, the movement to purge dissent from campuses through Gestapo style tactics, the pervasive apple pie authoritarian style fascism that has crept in on cats feet, the economic hitmen, the use of religion in creating an avenging army of brownshirts, the post WW II U.S. intelligence services granting amnesty to Nazi war criminals for use as 'assets' in the Eastern Bloc and to prop up right-wing banana republic dictators in Central and South America, drug trafficking, the selling of the country out from under us through globalist trade pacts, the North American Union, rampant war profiteering, rogue intelligence networks, ‘suicided’ journalists and government figures who were not team players, mysterious plane crashes...

George H. W. Bush's bizarre comments about the John F. Kennedy assassination
January 25, 2007 -- Washington observers are still puzzled by George H. W. Bush's bizarre comments about the John F. Kennedy assassination and Warren Report during his eulogy of President Gerald Ford at the Washington National Cathedral. Bush, who has made it clear that he does not care for the information posted about him and his family on the Internet, has good reason to be worried about the availability of information on the web.

After Lee Harvey Oswald returned, along with his Soviet wife and daughter, to the United States from the Soviet Union, he was "handled" by Belarusian immigrant..

George DeMohrenschildt, a Dallas businessman who once worked in New York for Humble Oil, Prescott Bush's company. DeMohrenschildt was active in the right-wing anti-Communist circles and had close links to the CIA. DeMohrenschildt "committed suicide" in 1977 shortly before he was to testify before the House Select Committee on Assassinations. He also wrote a manuscript in which he stated he did not believe that Oswald could have killed Kennedy.

Nevertheless, it is interesting whose name appeared in DeMohrenschildt's address book, provided to House investigators after his "suicide":

Poppy Bush has a fuzzy memory about where he was on Nov. 22, 1963 but his name, address, and phone number were found in the address book of Lee Harvey Oswald's close friend.

Wow. So sorry I missed that speech. There must be a video somewhere... anyone?

[on edit] Found it: http://dailynightly.msnbc.com/2007/week1/page/2/
under "Day of Rememberance"
(I needed to view it with IE instead of firefox to get it to work).

Worth watching - especially this part...

"...after a deluded gunman (knowing smile) assassinated president Kennedy..."

Who the hell was he smiling at? Jeeze, it was like a momentary look of glee slipped out!

I'd be willing to bet that the Bushes also got rid of Agnew, and that Poppy was supposed to be Agnew's replacement.

President Richard Nixon considered Ted Kennedy such a threat that he tried to catch Kennedy cheating on his wife, even ordering aides to recruit Secret Service agents to spill secrets on the senator's behavior.

"Do you have anybody in the Secret Service that you can get to?" Nixon asked his aide John Ehrlichman in a stark series of Oval Office conversations about Kennedy before the 1972 election. "Yeah, yeah," Ehrlichman replied.

"Plant one," Nixon said. "Plant two guys on him. This could be very useful."

Nixon made clear that the Secret Service protection afforded Kennedy before the 1972 election would be rescinded after. Then, said the president, "If he gets shot, it's too damn bad." His aides disdainfully referred to Kennedy supporters as "super swinger jet set types."

Tape recordings from the Nixon White House betray a preoccupation with the Kennedy mystique and how that might be used against the Republican president by the last surviving brother, who died Tuesday at age 77. Nixon wanted a sharp and private eye kept on Ted Kennedy's movements after the Chappaquiddick scandal, hoping to expose another misstep with a woman other than his wife, Joan.

Nixon's men had investigators tail Ted Kennedy on a Hawaii vacation and when he was at his Martha's Vineyard haunts.

Mortified, they told Nixon that Joan Kennedy wanted to wear "hot pants" to a White House function until her husband talked her out of it. But Ted's behavior? In the aftermath of his scandal, he was careful not to step out of line, the tapes suggest.

"Does he do anything?" Nixon asked in a September 1971 meeting. "No, no, he's very clean," Ehrlichman replied. "He was in Hawaii on his own. He was staying in some guy's villa. He was just as nice as could be the whole time."

Nixon shot back: "The thing to do is watch him."

All this was from an era of brass-knuckle politics and backroom intrigue that finally consumed Nixon's presidency in the Watergate affair. Kennedy overcame his own scandal to serve nearly a half-century in the Senate. But the presidency remained out of his reach.

"President Nixon never forgot his humiliating defeat in the 1960 presidential election to John F. Kennedy," said Luke A. Nichter, a leading authority on the Nixon White House recordings and assistant history professor at Texas A&M University. "Nixon did not intend to simply win in 1972; he wanted to destroy his opponent."

"If that opponent was a Kennedy, Nixon cautiously welcomed that opportunity but left nothing to chance," Nichter said. "That is what these long-obscured recordings show us."

Nichter features and analyzes the recordings at his Web site, nixontapes.org. The material has been released by the government over the years.

By April 1971, when the first of these exchanges was captured by the White House taping system, Kennedy was a damaged political figure.

Sarah Palin's Facebook 'Friends' Celebrate Ted Kennedy's Death: "One Less Socialist," "Good Riddens"

By Liliana Segura, AlterNet

http://www.alternet.org/bloggers/www.al ... rg/142220/

This post originally appeared in PEEK.

Late last night, to her credit, Sarah Palin posted the following statement on her Facebook page on the passing of Ted Kennedy:

I would like to extend our sympathies to the Kennedy family as we hear word about the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy. He believed in our country and fought passionately for his convictions.

Several of her Facebook pals lauded her "classy" move.

Others? Not so much.

"thank you for maintaining my belief in you as a real american, however this country is now much better off, one less socialist, anti freedom senator."

"Now if we could just talk God into taking Arlin Spector, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi America would be Eutopia!"

"good riddens"

"If he makes it into Heaven (& I doubt he will with his stance on abortion) I hope that God makes him babysit all the aborted children for eternity. God have mercy on his soul."

"Ted Kennedy dying has made my day...."

"He cannot fillibuster God. Good ridencance to a sorry person."

"It's about time, we can only hope Pelosi and Ried will be joining him very soon. All 3 of them should be buried in Moscow for whom they work so tirelessly."

... and perhaps my favorite:

"Sarah - I need to contact you. I need to know how to fight this current govt. We must find a way to get them removed, standing by and watching all the evil occur, is like watching water run quickly down the drain, each of our freedoms gone daily. Please advise me what direction to take my group. Thank you"

For all 1,676 comments (and counting), go here.

Stay classy, Palin fans!

You know what would make me feel all warm and fuzzy?
For YOU to quit jackin' off, talking shit and actually responding to my posts in a coherent and relevant manner.
If you're going to run your mouth, at least have the courage to back it up and if not, then STFU.

Kate you've become a frothing, hysterical weirdo who has never really been very bright when it comes to political discussions but as you've deteriorated you've sunk to levels of infantilization that seems not like a dream at all but more like the fundy version of pop liberal-psychobabble.

Now why not just pass out some Camelot silverware to go with your Obama plateware all of it suited to your bloody banquet of American Exceptionalism.

You have become an out-of-control loony tool who wouldn't and can't recognize the real enemy even while it's it's sittin' right in front of your face as your too busy sucking the ass of your oppressor.

Yeah, yeah, yeah you and your childish acronym-sloganeering political incoherence talkin' about "keepin focused on the BFEE" and other such absolutely retarded, thoughtless, mind numbing platitudes.

Noone's jackin' off to the corpse but you are sure suckin' some American liberal cock with every single one of your idolatrous slobbering posts. Now be sure to swallow as you you seem to dream that you have even a single hint as to what is happening and has happened in the American political scene over the last 50 years and more.
Liberal thy name is hypocrisy. What's new?
