That arm of his ought to do them a WORLD of good.

Somebody's got that conspiracies admitted to by TPTB, or something like that.

How about the conspiracy of a bunch of players from other teams being payed to throw the game so Tebow could win for Jesus?

Early last Spring, my wife lamented, “I don't want to do this... “, as she sealed the envelope with her $1500 check inside. The Broncos had been less than inspiring; 4-12 in 2010. Football used to be my favorite sport. I played a lot as a kid, and use to enjoy the games at Mile Hi - until I got sick of the propaganda! I told her that I'd just as soon not go anymore, and her money could be better spent. No shit! But, my wife's uncle bought these season tickets... in the Beginning, and they've been in her family since. In her mind, she would lose something sentimental and precious. Old habits die hard, I guess. (What a scam!)

Well, the season began, the Broncos were 1-4, and the little woman was talking shit about her favorite team. Good.... But, just when I dared to think that this season might be the last... CRAP!! Tim Tebow got to play! "They won... the Lord is with him!" Week after week after week, nobody expected the Donkeys to win, but they kept coming back at the end of the game! Tebowmania! It was Ridiculous! The Lord made it interesting... They lost three at the end of the season... But I'll be damned if they still didn't limp into the playoffs; and just when we thought they were done again, they smelted the Steelers! In overtime! Again! Whew! They lost to the Patriots, but still... It was the best season ever!

Alas, the Broncos had no faith. They had a lot of money. Elway threw at Pay-ton: The only free-agent who could legitimately replace Tim - without a riot: $96 million...to play a boy's game... until he's 41! He's already 36! Is he worth it? There is a salary cap, you know! Is Pay-ton being piggy!? He could pay the whole team!

What the hell!! Tebow only cost a $million and a half! He’s only 25, and he lives to learn from “the Best”! Yet, the Broncos took their former first round pick - who has proven himself, a Great competitor, all around stand up guy, maybe the most popular player in the league, and the very reason the team was fun to watch - and they traded him for a fourth?!?! Is this good business!? Or did somebody just get ridden hard, and put away wet - behind the ears!?

Tebow came (not in the Biblical sense), we saw, and then we exited the stadium[/b]. No goodbyes, and now he's gone... Maybe NYC needs Him more than Denver... Yeah... His work is ahead of him... Good luck with that!! The Lord doth work in mysterious ways...

“Did you pay for those tickets yet Honey?”

Don't know about God but there must be a karmic devil, after all the mockery I sent the Jesus Freak's way, to have him end up in New York, ahem, Jersey. In a week's time the talk around the Jets went from possibly acquiring Manning the Elder to - surprise! - getting Tebow?! And thus an undermined Sanchez (who, unlike Tebow, is an actual NFL quarterback, far from the top tier but as good as a dozen other starters, with potential, and he's already been in the AFC championship twice). How the hell? Given that being the understudy to Manning would indeed be the perfect preparation for the young QB of the future, what must the Broncos actually think of Tebow's ceiling at that position, that they get rid of him despite his relatively low salary? And what, did the Jets lack for Christian fans? Is the owner a Freak too?

several accounts suggest elway's ego couldn't abide the frenzy tebow generated in denver.

fortunately the idiotic joba chamberlain mishap (trampoline accident, broken ankle: game over) will displace tebow for the time being from the tabloid sports pages, but the jet will meet a similarly ignominious end in the big apple. it's never been my experience that the born-again are the thickest skinned. should at least be decent theater come the fall.

Having lived in Denver for years, I can say that Tebow was absolutely perfect for Denver.

It's so bizarre they decided to get rid of him. He was such a draw!

Yeah, he was perfect for Denver. I'll miss the kid. Other than being overtly Christian there isn't anything to hate about the kid and I don't even hate that. Looks like I gotta change the old avatar now though.

However, as they brought up on ESPN this morning, the NFL is going to move so much more product with Tebow in NY given the market sizes. Tebowmania has been very strange to say the least and it's only gonna get weirder given the amount of ridiculous attention he's already getting, yet again.

NY seems far less likely to embrace him than Denver. FWIW. Denver would marry him and love him forever.

.

He does nothing for the Jets except create a quarterback controversey. The fans will be chanting for him after Sanchez's first interception.

Yes, but surely not all of them. The only Product of Sports Media Overhype comparable to Tebow in the last year centered on the emergence of an above-average NBA point-guard on the Knicks, who had a series of good games. Did you know? The only reason people who don't follow basketball have heard of him was because of where this awesome, totally unprecedented miracle occurred. (Wait, sorry, not a miracle, the narrative in this case was Hard-Working Smart Asian Gets Just Reward, Everyone Feel Good, Children Learn This Lesson!) Now they're combining Christinsanity with NYC. Ugh.
