From here:

This past weekend, Farmville police described their first encounter with McCroskey. McCroskey answered the door at the home of Kelley and Emma on Thursday at 11:58 p.m. after a single officer went to check on Wells at the request of her mother, police said.

But yesterday, police said McCroskey called one hour later, Friday at 12:58 a.m., and said he heard something in the basement and wanted police to check it, said Wade Stimpson, the town's acting police chief.

Two officers arrived, and McCroskey let them into the house and the officers went down some stairs into the basement, which was covered with animal feces, Stimpson said. The officers then left without suspicion.

The bodies were not in the basement and were in a "totally separate part of the house," Stimpson said.

Less than four hours later, about 4:40 a.m., a Prince Edward sheriff's deputy ticketed McCroskey for driving without a license after he got a stolen car stuck in a ditch, authorities said. McCroskey is accused of stealing the car from Mark Niederbrock.

The car had not been reported stolen, and a tow-truck driver gave McCroskey a ride to a nearby Sheetz convenience store, police said. McCroskey arrived at Richmond International Airport by taxi later that day.

Wells' mother called police again Friday after she still hadn't heard from her daughter. Police went back to the house that afternoon and found the victims after noticing what smelled like decaying bodies, Stimpson has said.

This makes four times McCrosky had interactions with the police before he was arrested.

The Man who Drove a Quadruple Murder Suspect to the Airport

The man who drove the suspect in the Farmville murders from the scene of the crime to Richmond International Airport speaks exclusively to CBS 6.

Curtis Gibson says he's the one Richard "Sam" McCroskey called to take him to Richmond International Airport early Friday morning and was shocked to learn who had ridden in the back of his cab.

Gibson says he was surprised that someone accused of such a brutal crime could have been so calm.

Gibson says, "He seemed like a normal kid, we talked music."

He says he talked to McCroskey during the trip and, "He said he met a girl online and was gone to meet her."

Gibson picked McCroskey up at the Huddle House in Farmville and stopped in Chesterfield at an ATM so McCroskey could pay him the $130 fare.

Ironically, Gibson says he and the suspected killer even came face to face with police when Gibson got pulled over for speeding.

During the stop, the 20-year-old got out and smoked a cigarette. Gibson said his passenger chatted the whole time and acted normal.

He did say he did detect a strong odor, but had no idea what it was.

The driver said he was visiting his girlfriend in Farmville and was leaving upset because the two had an argument over a text message he saw on her phone from another guy.

Gibson says when he heard the news Sunday and saw police escorting McCroskey out of Richmond International Airport wearing the same clothes his heart nearly stopped.

He called police to tell them his chilling story and investigators even came out to search his Access Cab for forensic evidence.

When asked if these allegations turn out to be true, Gibson said, "Then he's very cold, because he acted like nothing happened. He should've been nervous."

Local occult expert heads to Farmville

It was a gruesome scene in Farmville when investigators found four people dead inside a home in the small town last Friday. Now, that quadruple homicide has many people asking why it happened.

To help get that answer, investigators requested a former Virginia Beach detective make the drive to Farmville to help them understand.

"Late Friday afternoon I received a phone call from investigators in Farmville letting me know that they are at the scene of a homicide. A multiple homicide," said Don Rimer, a former Virginia Beach Detective.

But why would Farmville Investigators call a former Virginia Beach Detective?

"My end goal is to educate parents, law enforcement, every discipline on the dangers of the occult," said Rimer.

Rimer is an expert in ritual and occult crimes.

"What those investigators stepped into, a slaughter house. They stepped into a slaughter house on Friday night," he added.

Speaking only to WAVY.com, Rimer says what magnified the terrifying scene was where investigators found the bodies of husband and wife Debra Kelley and Mark Neiderbrock, their teenage daughter Emma, and her friend, Melanie Wells. Strange symbols were also found in the home.

"They were satanic in nature," said Rimer.

So, how did they get there? Rimer said the answer lies in a type of violent music called horrorcore. Friends said it was a favorite of suspect, Richard McCroskey, and the two youngest victims.

"[The music is] about murder, about killing, about all kinds of ritual abuse. Anyone could take a look at that and that's the world that she was interested in. That's the world the killer was involved in," Rimer said.

Rimer said Farmville isn't alone in this growing trend of occultic violence. A March WAVY.com investigation into Vampirism in Hampton Roads found it's happening here too, but a Virginia Beach mother noticed the signs quickly.
"This I would have never thought would have come into my life, because I didn't know anything about it," the mother told WAVY.com in March.

That mother, who asked us to keep her identity hidden, got help before her daughter fell too deep into a world she wasn't ready for.

"There are parents that believe it's just a fad. It's just the music. It's just a game. It's just a movie, but I call it Russian roulette. You can't take that chance," said Rimer.

So how can you tell if your child is dabbling in the occult? Rimer said look for signs of self mutilation, numbers and letter written backwards, listen to their music and if it's "death metal" or horrorcore, talk to them. Also pay attention if they begin wearing dark-style clothing and make-up.

Slain pastor, family remembered at service

The Rev. Mark Niederbrock was a man devoted to God who struggled with his teen daughter's fixation on macabre music, friends and church members said after his funeral Thursday.

Mr. Niederbrock was buried in front of his modest white church in Appomattox County nearly a week after he, his wife, their daughter and the girl's friend were found bludgeoned to death at his wife's Farmville home. Mr. Niederbrock and his wife, Longwood University professor Debra Kelley, were separated.

Their daughter's boyfriend, 20-year-old aspiring "horrorcore" rapper Richard "Sammy" McCroskey III, is charged in Mr. Niederbrock's slaying. Authorities said they expect to charge him soon in the deaths of Mrs. Kelley, Emma Niederbrock, 16, and Melanie Wells, 18, of Inwood, W.Va.

Following a graveside service, Mr. Niederbrock was laid to rest near a towering oak tree outside Walker's Presbyterian Church, where he had been pastor for six years. A couple of people fainted from the heat and emotion and required treatment.

Friends said Mr. Niederbrock was concerned about his daughter, who had become immersed in the online underground world of horrorcore music, which sets lyrics about torture, rape, murder and mutilation to hip-hop beats.

During a sermon last month about the Ten Commandments, Mr. Niederbrock stopped when he got to the discussion about only worshipping the one God and said he was concerned about his daughter's exposure to the music and some of the people she was associating with, said Billy and Barbara Dickerson, members of the church. They did not go into detail about Mr. Niederbrock's comments.

Despite his concern, Mr. Niederbrock and Mrs. Kelley drove the girls and Mr. McCroskey to an all-day horrorcore concert in Michigan on Sept. 12, one of several they had taken her to in the past year or so. Friends said they did it to protect Emma.

"I don't know whether he knew exactly what this stuff could wind up doing," said Luther Glen, an elder at the church. "I think the biggest thing is his daughter was probably in control. Whatever she wanted, she pretty much got."

Mr. Niederbrock and Mrs. Kelley had been separated for about a year, and the family was going through counseling.

In online posts, where Emma was known as RagDOll, she bragged about drinking and smoking marijuana. In her postings, she also professes her love for Mr. McCroskey, who recently started rapping under the name "Syko Sam."

Mrs. Dickerson said besides her dark clothes and habit for dying her hair bright colors, she didn't see any cause for concern when she last saw Emma last year. Instead, the Dickersons remember her as a sweet, quiet girl with a beautiful face who sometimes came to church with her father and used to participate in youth activities and Christmas plays.

About three years ago, Mr. Niederbrock and Emma took part in a 13-mile hike along the Appalachian Trail with the Dickersons and other church members. When her father fell behind, Emma either stopped and waited for him or doubled back to walk with him, Mr. Dickerson said.

"Her daddy would have done anything for her," Mrs. Dickerson said.

Mr. Niederbrock was always quick with a self-deprecating joke but had become a fantastic preacher since graduating from the seminary three years ago, friends said.

Police have said only that each died of blunt force trauma, refusing to discuss other injuries. It is not clear when final autopsy results will become available.

Mr. McCroskey remains in jail without bond. He has refused to talk to police.

Fucking fascists couldn't and can't recognize an ongoing social crisis if it shit all over their basement steps and then killed their children.

Norfolk, which on edit is immediately adjacent to VA Beach:
the median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 104.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.8 males. This large gender imbalance is due to the military presence in the city, most notably Naval Station Norfolk.

The median income for a household in the city was $31,815, and the median income for a family was $36,891. Males had a median income of $25,848 versus $21,907 for females. The per capita income for the city was $17,372. About 15.5% of families and 19.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 27.9% of those under age 18 and 13.2% of those age 65 or over.

see upthread for similar figures for Farmville, VA.

Why are the kids wearing black and complaining about the future again?

CUDA youre one of the best people around here and I didnt mean anything by my comments, in fact as an artist with my own studio I appreciate art more than most although it is something I really dont like to talk about because I feel it is something you simply do or dont do and trying to talk about it doesnt do it any justice.

Anyway I was just real interested in this case and was hopeful for more insight from RIers about it, but carry on, the conversation has certainly been interesting.

One VERY interesting thing is that this story has not been on CNN or any of the major TV news outlets and not even Nancy Grace has touched it, IMO it is a very intriguing story and I dont know why they have not ran with it considering they are eager to run with other similar stories.

It seems to me that this SickTanick fellow has really went out of his way to contact both the perps and victims families, appearing to be the helpful good guy in all of this, throwing himself right in to the middle of it from day one and that makes me wonder if he isnt trying to cover up his own direct or indirect involvement in this.

Is there a way to tie this into the Census worker slaying? B/c then Alex Jones's Droogie Squads would actually be out in force and it'd help me justify some of my pessimism (as if the climate destruction story doesn't already).

I'm not sure if this has been posted or not, if so, I apologize. Former Det. Rimer from VA Beach, has been called in. He's an expert on the occult.

Food for thought.

I am shocked that Nancy Grace isnt on this case yet, this is one of the most interesting a biggest murder cases I have seen in some time and yet not a peep from the MSM TV cable news outlets.

Also, at this point I really think this Sictanick and Razakel have more to do with this than meets the eye.

This guy is a fucking moron.

EXCERPTED from SickTanic's (close associate of the suspect) blog:

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...ogId=497407410

Im one to believe the occult is SACRED, not just ANYONE should be able to be involved or be able to practice it, that is why i have HIDDEN this knowledge within my Audio Grimoires, the musick will choose its TRUE listener and the listener will LEARN from the Audio Grimoire rather than just "Listen To It Cause Its Cool" This is why i DO throw elements of "Shock" value and "Entertainment" in my musick.

Its NOT intended to reach out and just touch anyone, its intended for a practitioner of the occult. NOW dont get it twisted, if you DONT practice to the occult and you just happen to "like my musick" thats fine by me and i appreciate those that do, i appreciate ANYONE who takes out the time to listen to my musick (be it for occult value or simply entertainment). But understand, im putting together my own personal GRAND GRIMORE in audio form, there is MUCH MORE to it than what you typiclly think.

All of that is what differs me from your usual "Im the devil, hail satan, kill christians" rapper. 99% Of underground rappers that claim "Satanist" have no idea of what that even means. The Most experience ive encountered is someone who happened to buy or browse through Anton Szandor Laveys "Satanic Bible", which is a great work of art for the "Secular Humanist" but does not delve into anything beyond that. That is merely a stepping stone for the un-initiate into the world of "Occult" (which btw Occult Simply means HIDDEN, nothing more) Knowledge.

So before you go and think your a devil worshipping bada** who does or has the right to speak on the occult, do your research and take your head out of your a**,
i established my first Audio Grimoire in 2005, and i am the first and only to do it, i hold that crown tight and embrace it as "My Great Occult Workings".
