Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

On her personal blog Sunday, writer Sarah Kendzior countered the public kudos for Long with an equally viral post detailing Long's allegedly "vindictive and cruel posts about her children in which she fantasizes about beating them, locking them up and giving them away. In most posts, her allegedly insane and violent son is portrayed as a normal boy who incites her wrath by being messy, buying too many Apple products and supporting Obama."

Kendzior continued: "These children could be in real danger if her goal was to capitalize on the Newtown tragedy by creating a media campaign designed to give her sympathy. If I am wrong about this, I truly apologize. But there is a 13-year-old boy who has already had his reputation destroyed and who may be facing serious harm."

Episodes of US comedy series Family Guy and American Dad were dropped on Sunday in the wake of Friday's shootings in a Connecticut school, which left 26 dead.

Fox TV instead showed repeats of the shows to avoid broadcasting any potentially sensitive content.

The billed Family Guy episode had featured a retelling of the nativity while in American Dad, a demon punished naughty children at Christmas.

Meanwhile, director Quentin Tarantino has defended violence in movies.

^ No worries. Ralphie Parker and his Red Rider BB gun will still be broadcast 24 hours straight on Christmas Day this year too on TBS. I'm sure it will feel especially special to watch it with loved ones this time around... In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash.

I guess she's real then. Or a much more elaborate hoax.

Here I have to side with those who think this woman is a very bad person.

Facing backlash of her own from Long supporters, Kendzior has followed up with a memo clarifying that she wrote what she did because she's a parent and "a child does not deserve to have his mother embark on a media tour promoting him as a future mass murderer."

She might have had an excuse to do this anonymously. But she's revealed her own real name and thus exposed to all who know her son that she thinks he is a dangerous monster. This is not a courageous contribution to an ongoing dialogue, it is an act of violence on the boy. She has really fucked him for life. The stories of her self-admitted cruelty to the child come as no surprise in the face of this act. (Oh, and fuck you NBC as usual.)

Also, not to make light of violence or threats thereof -- and I'm sorry that I'm about to pull my estimates out of thin air -- but for fuck's sake, maybe 1 in 10 of 13-year-olds threaten to kill mom (often for understandable reasons), 1 in 10 of them might really mean to do it on some level, 1 in a 1000 of them will make a genuine try, and some extremely tiny proportion are ever going to try committing mass murder.

Outside a military context, that is. (One always needs to add that part.)

"The Hollywood Reporter". Well, it would be, wouldn't it. What kind of "reporting" is this? It's a media spectacle about an Internet spectacle instigated by a distant spectator of the televised spectacle of the aftermath of an actual mass murder by (we're told) a heavily-armed masked man dressed all in black, just like a typical Bad Guy in the movies.

So now she gets her 15 minutes on TV to make a spectacle of herself literally (not to mention the child, who never asked or consented to become a spectacle), showing her face and naming her full name before emoting Hollywood-style about that "anonymous" terrifying child, who has to go to school tomorrow, whose photo she published on her blog while using the occasion of the most recent mass school murder to tell the world what he's like (according to her) in private, at his worst, and to speculate about him possibly growing up to be a mass murderer too.

Pure spectacle. It's emotional pornography, and therefore absolutely in keeping with the rest of the coverage.

MSNBC wrote:VIDEO: President Obama Speaks at Moving Hometown Vigil

Who can begin to think even the thinkable while gorging on this stuff? Yet it gets sold (literally) as the beginning of a "debate" about something.

And yes, of course she's a victim too (not least a victim of Hollywood). Practically all perpetrators are, or were, including the gladiators in the arena. Grist to the mill.

Uh, yeah. Not really a very anarchist thing to do, either. I mean going and imprisoning your son in a mental hospital like that. So even if she exists she is still a really fake person. Damn. "You're sending me to Hell!" yeah that's right kid. Be careful or they'll start electrocuting you.

Seconded. This is, what, the third such baseless accusation made by this person in a 24 hour period?

Yeah wtf, bro? To his credit, it seems like I read somewhere that there was some Mossad connection or some shit, but it could be something else I read. I can't keep track of all the shit that keeps people all riled up other than the ways these crimes/tragedies affect my fellow travelers.

Speaking of which, I randomly tuned into the "Katie Couric Show" today and I am met with Craig Scott sitting there on the couch talking about Columbine on my TV. Haven't talked to him in a few years. But was weird seeing some dude I know on HD in front of me. I understand why he was there as to the subject, but still weird to see some dude I know on TV. He seemed very distraught as in silent and 1000 yard stare type stuff.

Yes.

Why do you even ask? Are you speculating that CNN/theCIA/the government actually employed people to impersonate parents of the victims? Because that's the kind of speculation that gives speculation a bad name.

In this case -- as in many other such brutal "military-style" mass killings of the innocent by unidentifiable masked men -- there are certainly numerous glaring and legitimate reasons to doubt the "official account" in whole or in part, but that photo is not one of them.

I ask because the woman in the second photo is not Laura Phelps, it is Jennifer Greenberg. And that man is Jennifer Greenberg's husband (whose name escapes me at the moment).

If they are in fact the same people then it is hard to avoid the conclusion that the grieving parents in the interview are not the people they claim to be.

And I'm sorry, but trying to squash speculation in a place like this is a bit ridiculous. If people can be civil and open-minded and still reasonable, then why the hell not? I'm not making any sort of bold arrogant proclamations, I'm just opening up a subject for discussion.

.

2 questions:

82_28: who is Craig Scott? Is that someone we're all supposed to know?

As well, to BrandonD - who's Jennifer Greenberg?

Pardon the ignorance if these are household names, but a bit of context can help

Of course, if it is indeed a couple masquerading as the parents of a victim it would be noteworthy, to say the least

No one of special significance that I am aware of. Just a different woman, sister to Jeff Greenberg. If you type Jennifer Greenberg into google she is the second entry in images.
