Recently I read you were at that Toronto 9/11 conference, back in -- four years ago?!! -- 2004. How did we not meet? Were you already Rigorous Intuition?

The conference was a few months before I started RI. In fact, it was probably a big reason why I did. Sorry we didn't meet. (Though I have a vague recollection of interacting with you briefly in a Q&A lineup following some presentation.)

Toronto 2004 was where it "all" started for me as well. Came there on a whim, without knowing a soul and met JR and others there.

Wish we had known we would know each other later! I would have said hello
