I haven't read the entire thread word for word. I am generally well-read on things having to do with 9/11. I am familiar with the story, the story after the story, the story about the story, and multiple interpretations of the story. (I think there is a story about all those stories, but I digress...)

Here are the questions that occur:

If explosives were pre-planted, when did that occur? (Some obvious possible answers emerge..., and I'd guess most in this thread could cough up an answer or two.)

If we know or assume that nano-thermites were involved, when were those first available in functional applications, and to whom?

I always wondered at the importance attached to the first question. IF. Seems to me to be secondary.

Either there were explosives, or there were none. Bombs, incendiaries, what have you: external energy inputs with which the buildings were brought down.

Either this can be proven by way of forensics and physics, or it can't.

If proven, then it happened, and the plausibility of any given scenario for how bombs might have been planted no longer has any bearing on whether they were used.

If unproven, then discussing how "they" might have done it is a distraction - one generally favored by debunkers, but also by the wannabe novelists in all of us.

For me, the Gordon account resonates on either side of the question, because poor engineering/corrosion damge/structural disabilities might also equal a greater vulnerability to collapse without demolition. But the facts of the account would seem to be easily researched, one would think, involving as it does agencies that generally leave swath-like traces in the public record. Well, sort of easily, maybe.

The Citicorp Building had similar problems, except in that case they did the mitigation to save the building.

However, even though the Twin Towers were probably well on their way to becoming 'dangerous' buildings, it would still take a lot of explosives to cause the complete failure of these structures that we all saw on that day.

1. Buy a grinder. Better use cash on this. Nah, fuck it, use a credit card. Everybody knows those goons in the 9/11 Truth movement couldn't find a paper trail if their lives depended on it.
2. Get a bunch of cases of beer.
3. Drink them. It's okay, your parents do it all the time, or at least did before the divorce, they're too involved in a custody battle and won't notice. Invite some friends from preschool over to help.
4. Steal a really old car with a lot of rust. It's best to do this after having about twenty beers because it's not illegal if you can't remember. You have a Constitutional Right (Ask your mom who's in the Tea Party what that is!) not to self-incriminate!
5. Wake up a couple weeks later. It's okay that you crashed the car and pissed yourself, the upholstery is irrelevant.
6. Grind up the beer cans into a fine powder.
7. Get out a drill and a hard brush bit, preferably something that can grind steel. Ceramic, maybe, if it won't chip, or just a harder steel brush, it's been a long time since I've had to repair rust damage so ask your dad which when he isn't drunk and chasing undergraduate girls. Whatever.
8. Grind the rust off the car. See, I told you the upholstery didn't matter.
9. Mix the ground aluminum with the ground rust. If you do this while you're smoking it makes you really cool and all the other kids will want to be your friend!
9B. (OPTIONAL) To make "thermate," get powdered sulfur and add that! I don't know where to get it either, but i'm sure the internet does, probably an art supply store or something.
10. I don't know, put it in a container or something. Write "Dear FBI: This is a shaped charge" on it.
11. Put it on an expensive appliance in your home, or your car's engine block. Something really big, heavy and most important of all, expensive. LIKE THE WORLD TRADE CENTER SUPPORT COLUMNS.
12. Use a blow torch or some other high-heat application to light the "shaped charge."

The thing that struck me: Anthrax, military grade. Nano aluminum thermite, military grade.

U.S. military in both cases.
