IanEye's post reminded me of the extracurricular campaign the CIA waged (on personal time!) against the author of an expose on Ringling Bros., which the search button tells me has *never* come up here at RI! Which I'm convinced is wrong, b/c I'm sure someone posted about it... unless that was just me confusing Daniel Hopsicker w/ RI (time to head to the data dump to archive this).
