The castle, she gasped and then so imprisoned her breath, to the shallow confines of her fragile chest. I'm on the lamb but I ain't no sheep. I am Death. And you have always been the sod. So repulsive and so odd.

You never even deserved the presence of God, and yet, I am here. Around your cradle I plod. Came on foot, without shod. How improper, how rude. However, they shall not mind the mud on my feet if there is blood on your sheet.

Now! Feel death, not just mocking you. Not just stalking you but inside of you. Wriggle and writhe. Feel smaller beneath my might. Seizure in the Pestilence that is my scythe. Die, all of you.

check out the slide show on this page. it has a pic of the alleged perp looking all buff and macho. supposedly it was posted on facebook yesterday, presumably before the shooting. certainly a different look from other pics of him, including the one on his current facebook page.
now the interesting thing is this pic is credited to karen bleier of AFP.
so, how did she get this picture, or the rights to it?
or, is a well known photographer(she took obamas pic for time mag i believe) stealing pics from facebook(not likely imho).

FWIW, publications very often get photo credits wrong. I've had two photographs published that I took that were credited incorrectly, and I'm not even a professional photographer! One was in the LA Times, and the other was in some industry trade publication.

They're very sloppy, at least these days.

i can see that but, if you google "karen bleier tj lane pic" you'll see she, and AFP/getty, are very explicit about owning that photo.
they also appear to be very aggresive about protecting their ownership rights of pictures.
and from what little i found online they really have no right to claim ownership of someone else's facebook pic.
it was also mighty fast work to grab that shot between the time the shooter was identified and the time the facebook page was supposedly scrubbed.
not to mention his fbook security settings don't allow nonfriends to view his pics so again, how did she get a copy?

I feel terribly sorry for everyone impacted by this, but sorry also for the kid that did this, TJ Lane.

His father, apparently, was arrested many times for crimes of violence against women. His parents were each charged with domestic violence against each other, shortly after TJ was born. Later, his father was arrested for assaulting a police officer. Also, his father spent time in prison for trying to suffocate a woman he had married several years following the birth of his son.

According to CBS News, "TJ Lane attended Lake Academy, an alternative school in Willoughby for students in Lake and Geauga counties. His peers said the 17-year-old shooting suspect was quiet. Some said he was sweet, while others said he had a simmering temper."

His simmering temper seems a bit more understandable now, knowing all of this. I'm sure there is much, too much, more.

This tragedy has re-ignited the gun control debate where I work. The arguments among coworkers are even more "passionate" than usual this time around--to the point of getting quite heated. Of course, I don't like the idea of "nuts" having access to guns...but I don't think I'm a gun-ban type of person either. I grew up in a household where learning about responsible gun use and storage was de rigueur (being rural types, we hunted and did a lot of target practice at things perched on top of fence posts).
