The similarities between this and Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials (Northern Lights / Golden Compass etc) are very very strange.

I'd never heard of her until right now, but reading about her may have provided the definitive answer to the Paul McCartney conundrum.

"...She was told, 'If you don't cooperate, we'll replace you with this and nobody will know the difference.' When Ted was a teenage, he and a number of other teenagers were abducted together and shown copies of their bodies. In this instance, too, the clones were used as threats."

"Ted recalled a process whereby his original body was killed. They first gave him a glowing, green, fiery substance to drink. It made him extremely nauseated. He vomited it immediately, and then they cut off his head [and his vital fluid was drained from his body into a container]. When his soul energy -- or whatever you want to call it -- came up out of his body, it remained attached to the body at this lumpy, glowing, green liquid area. It appeared to be unable to get free of that. They sucked it into a little black box, which was set on a counter while the aliens readied his new cloned body. Then they put probes into the shoulders, neck and feet of the new body to activate it. Once it began to breathe, the soul energy could be put into it. His soul energy, which had been stored in the little black box ever since they killed his first body, was introduced into the new body, and because the body was breathing, it was trapped there."

Okay, here's an interesting one. If this is a hoax, it's at least a creative one. Highly unusual atmospheric phenomena touches down on earth, or maybe some kind of synthetic foam, or...?

tl;dw: Video apparently shot in an Arabic (?) speaking country. A white "cloud" about the size of a man floats down to the ground. It lands against a flimsy fence and parts break off. It then rises from a horizontal position on the ground to a vertical position. Parts of it reform. A man approaches and puts his hand into it. The cloud seems to part somewhat but does not disperse. The video pans out to the sky then repeats once.

Whether "real" or not, it's pretty interesting. It looks quite a lot like the fictional cloud creature, encountered in "Obsession," from the original Star Trek series, which killed the captain of the U.S.S. Farragut.

(Yeah. I'm a Trek geek.)

Hey, Robert Anton Wilson said that science fiction was the favored genre of the neophilic mind. Working my way through the "Ender's Game" series by Orson Scott Card (buying them second-hand since he's a right-wing wacko) and the "Altered Carbon" series by Richard Morgan myself.

UFOs Filmed Hovering Over U.S. Air Force Nuclear Weapons Storage Area:
Important New Revelations about the Paul Bennewitz Affair

Declassified U.S. government documents and military veterans have confirmed repeated UFO incursions at American nuclear weapons sites, decade after decade. (Declassified Soviet documents and former Soviet Army personnel verify that such incidents occurred in the former U.S.S.R. as well.)

This month marks the 25th anniversary of the MJ12 documents surfacing publicly (in the pages of Tim Good's Above Top Secret, in May 1987).

Here's my take on the anniversary:

To me the most bizarre and most curious of all UFO related phenomenon in my view has to be the sky serpent/space worm phenomenon. Often times, giant white snake things in the sky flanked with many orbs or what appears to be little UFOS shooting out of it. By far the most bizarre of all Alien related studies, yet I never see anyone really talk or reference it

Thank you for those 8bit - had not come across them before.

Speculation:
Imagine that there are actually more than three spatial dimensions (not referring to New Age astral dimensions) but being 3d, we can never see a 4d shape in its entirety, in the same way someone living in Flatland cannot understand the dimension above him (us)
If we had pushed a sphere through a flat plane, the Flatlander would see a section of it that would gradually get bigger (till it reached the width of our sphere) then recede.
Similarly, a 4d object such as a 4d hypersphere, as it intersects with our 3d world will appear 3d.
A hypersphere travelling through a section of our atmosphere would look like a tiny dot expanding to a ball and then shrinking to a dot again.

I think it looks like a 4d cartoon or doodle!
Just as you would produces a brushstroke on Flatland that would be 2d, so a 4d cartoon (which, remember we can only experience in 3d 'sections') might look like 3d tubular patterns that also change topology (they seem to deform between cylinders, do-nuts and pretzels)
The 'spheres' could also be projections into 3d space of a 4d shape...
A 4 dimensional event that we only see part of at any time..

I also wondered about the amazing Mexican footage of what was being called a 'flotilla' of hundreds of spheres - as flotilla is a 2-d word. These objects looked much more like a morphing 3-d structure - what came to mind was something like a computer graphics model of DNA...

I think it would require some pretty serious computer modelling from multiple simultaneous perspectives of HD video with foreground objects in common to be able to 3-d map the 'flotilla'

Have watched that footage hundreds of times at least, it really fascinated me. What grabbed me initially was the complexity of it, how complicated faking the footage would have been, because of how the dots move together. There are internal geometries and multiple levels of force at work in the rotation, and hot damn if the overall impression resembles nothing so much as a tesseract in motion.

The footage is stunning, though, and the magnitude of the phenomenon makes my skin crawl on a sunny day.

Not super new, but I just saw this for the first time and thought it was pretty good. "Experiencer" is an hour-long documentary about abductees, with a focus on John Mack, and also a good segment on the Zimbabwe schoolchildren case.

I would have liked to see John Mack interviewed more. At the very end of the documentary we get a few musings that are likely a small part of a much longer conversation.

Mack says, "I read this article. And I kept asking as I was reading it, cause it was a kind of jungian interpretation of the ufo phenomenon, and I kept asking, ok, but is this real? Now what I meant was real probably was pretty literal at the time. I mean are ufos real? Are people really seeing aliens? I guess if you ask a question strongly enough the universe cooperates and gives you information relevant to the question."

I'd love to hear more of that conversation.
