With everyone in an uproar over RS's choice of a cover star this week, I'd say that's a pretty spot-on keyword hijack in a week where the details of a suspicious death of a Rolling Stone journalist is heating up.

Rolling Stone is on everyone's lips but for the exact wrong reason.

Tsarnaev made a point about all the horror the US government has done to innocent Muslims, but in his actions HE became the evil that the US government does by killing and maiming people. Having a close friend I see all the time who has heavy shrapnel like wounds and a missing leg from a bad accident; I cant imagine the HELL the victims of the Boston bombing attack are going through. Even if there was some sort of secret outside/inside conspiracy, these individuals like Mcveigh, KSM or Tsarvnaev(UNLIKE Sirhan Sirhan) prove time and time again how much they love being the servants of death. I call these the Hubris or Ego dupes, if they are dupes at all.

Ok, well until we learn more of possible handlers or orchestration, I'll say the perceived created tulpa of "Jahar". Just in a trolling sort of way, I kind of like how RS chose that image as the cover. I think it speaks as a commentary on celebrity worship. But you're right...I don't know if it was the Tsarnaev brothers who were assailing cops with rice cookers and bullets or any of it. The thing I learned after ingesting every nook and cranny in the case as that not one particular piece emerged as a eureka rosetta stone, but that overall the saga is just weird. Even if there is no particular answer at any of it. It feels like one giant Overlook Hotel maze, with (intentional?) dead ends everywhere.

12 People Including Top Officials Have Quit, Fired, Jailed or Killed w/ link to BMB

Not just teenie Boppers who have a crush on Jahar, or some crazy conspiracy theorist, believe that Boston Marathon was a hoax. I myself, and numerous other people of all ages, races, sexes, of all ages are risking social stigmas, and taking an incredibly difficult position for supporting this guy? Would Rolling Stone put him on the front page if he REALLY KILLED Americans? Even if you don't believe in his innocence, I think you can agree that Rolling Stone is attempting to draw awareness to this case. Congress is also asking questions, and 9 Top Authorities directly related to this hoax have resigned, been fired, jailed, or even killed after the Marathon Bombing. I think we should at least please review the evidence Here.

I am stoked about finding your forum, and I want to draw alot of eyes here, (organically Google is Censoring a lot of content, so I'm using other means to draw traffic here if you guys are ok with it) and I look forward to hearing feedback, criticism, corrections, and devil's advocates, backing everything I'm saying here with proof.

We are setting an unprecedented destruction of all liberties the Constitution affords us as American citizens with this case. We need to take our time and get ALL the facts out before we KILL THIS KID, remember he's a citizen here and this could just as easily be you, me, or your children, just like it now has become with Justin Carter, another 19 Year old kid, incarcerated on terrorism charges right now. Remember Lindsay Graham and John McCain calling for him to be held as an enemy combatant in Guantanamo Bay?

Are we really going to allow our law enforcement agencies to be judge, jury, and executioner like they were with Tamerlan Tsarnaev? Or Jude Kennan Mohammed, the other American citizen that Obama has said was killed in a drone strike without any due process or habeas corpus. Regardless how bad these men seem, they still have the same rights as you and I do as Americans, regardless of what crimes they've been charged with. So after prefacing that, here's why I support the #Justice4Jahar 'movement'.

There have been 12 people directly tied to this case that have resigned, been fired, resigned, jailed or even killed that were directly involved in the case, and have done so after the Marathon Bombings, Including two FBI HRT officers involved in apprehension of Dzhokar Tsarnaev:

Thomas LaCroix - Waltham Police Department, original Triple Murder investigation head. (was arrested after the bombings for domestic assault, however is wife said in trial he never hit her, yea ok)

But they never told Boston PD ANYTHING ABOUT HIM, BEFORE, OR DURING this?

In fact, not only did the FBI not tell Boston PD Detectives in the JTTF which have top security clearance, THE SAME FIELD OFFICE IN BOSTON that had went out to do a field interview with him less then 2 years prior, but yet they couldn't identify him after they released his pictures to the public? Then you have the case of Igrahim Todashev, who was an 'acquaintance' of Tamerlan living in Orlando Florida. He had REQUESTED ASYLUM in the United States from Chechnya in 2010, which ICE had granted him extremely quickly, so he must have had good proof that he indeed was in danger in Chechnya (or knew Mr. Brian Giles Williams from his many trips to the region no link has been made here yet, this is speculative) that he had legal status.

Well according to Todashev's wife, and friend, the FBI had already interviewed him twice since the Boston Marathon, and was apparently so worried about his life he had bought a plane ticket home to Chechnya, the same country he had requested asylum from, after the second FBI Interview. The FBI called him, begging him for one more interview, so HE CANCELED HIS FLIGHT TO CHECHNYA to accommodate the FBI.

Well it turns out that (we had to learn this from RT and the Russian press which was followed by non-corporate sponsored US media NPR) apparently Todashev after hours of previous interrogation decided now was the time for him to confess to the triple homicide, and in the middle of writing it, he got agitated and flipped the desk over, WITHOUT A WEAPON, and is proceeded TO BE SHOT 6 TIMES INCLUDING TWO TO THE HEAD, EXECUTION STYLE, by guess who? The same FBI field office In Boston!

(I'm not even going to go into the Hollywood type coverage of both the bombings themselves, or the **9,000 Local, State, Federal Police and the Military HUNT (no man in front of that for a reason) **

And the Green Civic was on the scene with the Black Mercedes, **this means that after Danny escaped** they went BACK TO THE CAR that the police knew to watch for! HOW ELSE WOULD DANNY have told them about NYC? (which according to Congressman King's interview with Fox News at 2:00 the day of the Tsarnaev trial, the FBI didn't even tell NYPD about the threat, they had to find out independently!) They REALLY EXPECT us to believe that they car jacked Danny, confessed to the MIT shooting (only evidence they have on Dzhokar for the murder at MIT) let him go, then drive all the way back to Cambridge to the Green Civic, then head back to Watertown in two different cars where they are engaged in the shootout? Why car jack someone and take two cars? Both brothers also spoke Russian, so how did Danny a Chinese immigrant understand Russian?

I won't even go into the Injuries of some of the 'victims' in the actual bombing, just say that there were multiple HD cameras (it's a marathon after all) on the scene that were positioned in such a way that you can see everything, please someone show me 14 amputees that were paid on average of $2 Million + each! Search YouTube, and Flickr (album hahatango is a good start) yourself, check and see what was hiding behind all that smoke, and what happened on the first bomb scene when the second went off and the cameras from MSM were focused on the other bomb and you may begin to understand why Im risking everything for a kid I've never net in my entire life.

Ok, so they car jacked Mr. LanTan, which I never disputed, but maybe "Danny" (how one gets Danny from Jiang I'm not sure, (I'm not familiar with this surname, or the province they come from in China) in his Mercedes Benz, and drive him to the ATM and steal his money, $750 sounds familiar but I could be wrong on the exact amount, they proceed to ~~Rob A Convenience Store~~ admit the entire weeks wrong doing, including the MIT cop killing which there's no other evidence placing them at the scene, and tell him they are going to NYC to Times Square, AFTER BEING IDENTIFIED 12 HOURS EARLIER, and commit further acts of terrorism, only to stop at a gas station (they'd already gotten his money, but they stayed in the vicinity of Boston to fill up?) Where he ~~Is told that since he's Chinese they're going to let him go~~ courageously escapes from the SUV (with his phone in the car) and runs to call police.

AFTER THIS HAPPENS, they decide to DRIVE BACK TO THE GREEN HONDA CIVIC to "go get CD's for the ride to NYC", even though they just robbed Danny of at least $750 and could have bought as many CD's as they wanted, once they fled the City of Boston?

Question. Say this is true, and instead of grabbing the CD's from the Green Honda Civic and getting back into the Mercedes SUV, or car jack another vehicle (Danny is gone, they know that he probably called the police at this point) they take two separate cars back throufh Watertown where they engage the Watertown PD in two separate cars after they car jacked "Danny", say this is all true;

Tamerlan and Jahar both spoke Russian, why were they speaking in English in front of Danny who is Chinese? They spoke Russian to each other for 19 years they grew up together, why all of a sudden English?

I would want to know that the prisoner referred to as "Dzhokhar Tsarnaev" (currently literally speechless, if we're to believe any of this farrago at all) has been positively identified beyond doubt by his next of kin, i.e. by his parents and sister, who are also deeply sceptical about this entire case, and for very good and rational reasons.

Is The Bleeding Tsarnaev Picture Really Better Than The Tsarnaev Selfie?

The World’s Stupidest Controversy© (at least since the Muslim community center near the World Trade Center took over the summer headlines) continues apace. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the whole “controversy” over the Rolling Stone cover is mostly being drummed by up right wing nuts who want to increase suspicion that the “liberal media” secretly loves terrorists, though there have been a handful of narcissistic liberals who have joined in, because they want a piece of the “pretending you hate murder the mostest” contest to gain a gold star in murder-hating. (American politics is largely governed by the logic of the playground.) To add more fuel to the fire, Sgt. Sean Murphy, who photographed Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s capture, has released his photos against the Boston P.D.’s will, in an attempt to show the “real” Tsarnaev. Murphy explains that his photography doesn’t deal in nuance or complexity, and it certainly doesn’t ask the viewer to think about complex issues like how appearances can be deceiving. No, Murphy demands photography be an art where the bad guys twirl mustaches and wear black hats, and the good guys have strong chins and white hats.

Photography is very simple, it’s very basic. It brings us back to the cave. An image like this on the cover of Rolling Stone, we see it instantly as being wrong. What Rolling Stone did was wrong. This guy is evil. This is the real Boston bomber. Not someone fluffed and buffed for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

It’s worth remembering that the RS picture is not a “fluffed and buffed” professional shot at all, but a selfie that Tsarnaev took himself, perfectly fitting with the story’s theme about the gulf between how Tsarnaev presented himself to the world and who he apparently really is.

Anyway, we get the point. Murphy eschews subtlety and thinks an image should be simplistic, childish (or caveman-ish), with its emotions blunt and in your face. No thought allowed. You should know exactly how to feel just by looking at it, no matter what it is, and it certainly shouldn’t cause you to feel any need for self-reflection or to ask yourself why this image makes you feel the way you do. Presumably, this means no context, cause context starts to introduce the complications that Murphy claims to so hate.

So what did Murphy offer as a context-free image that makes it crystal clear that the bad guy is a bad guy that you should hate, even if you have no idea who he is? I’d imagine a picture of the bad guy posing by some guns and trying to look badass, which is what I think of when I think of simple, blunt images that you can understand immediately without context. Something like this:



But that’s not what he offered. He offered this:



Interesting: An image of a bloody, wounded person in a submissive pose. Okay. What about this?



I will say that Murphy, despite clearly knowing nothing about the art of photography, has a native sense of how to shoot good photos. But he’s lost the plot if he thinks these photos require any less context and interpretation than the Rolling Stone cover. Just taken without context, the RS cover is a picture of a handsome kid taking a selfie. Without context, these two photos are pictures of a wounded, exhausted kid turning himself over to some unknown people who are apprehending him. If you didn’t know who this was, it would be just as easy to believe that the person in it is a hostage in a war as a terrorist who has finally been caught by the cops. You need the context to be able to know how to feel.

In fact, I could easily argue that images of people being hurt and vulnerable are far more likely to cause people to feel pangs of sympathy, even if they know better, than images of the bad guy looking handsome, which tends to only creep people out. (Which was the point.) For instance, take one of my very favorite TV shows, Game of Thrones. One well they regularly go to in order to make you feel more sympathy for a character is to show that person hurt and exhausted.

Example #1:



Jamie Lannister, would-be child killer whose incestuous relations with his sister laid the ground work for a murderous war over a throne that wouldn’t be contested if he had kept his hands off Sis. Up until season three, Jaime is played as a pretty much black hat evil villain (though a handsome one, so I guess that confuses the idiots who are up in arms about the RS cover), the kind you hiss and boo when he’s onscreen. And then he loses his hand and is filmed as broken, pathetic, wounded, and lost, opening up viewer sympathies so arguments about Jamie’s good side can be introduced.

Example #2:



Prior to this, Theon was also a black hat villain, who turned his back on his friends and killed two innocent little boys to scare a conquered people into submission. But now he’s been tortured and beaten into submission, inviting enough sympathy from the viewer that we cheer upon hearing that his sister is rallying the troops to come save him.

Example #3:



Obviously, Ned Stark is mostly a white hat character, but I include this photo of him in a similar pose of submission to make this point: Murphy claims that it’s obvious that the guy with his head down and the exhausted look on his face who is submitting to authority is a villain, something that we should all know upon looking at him. And that such an image would in no way cause people to glamorize him, etc. So why do filmmakers use this pose so often to make characters seem heroic?

Counter-theory: While the RS cover may give a small amount of fuel to the weird online cult of Jahar fangirls, who are, in the end, childish and powerless, this image of Tsarnaev looking broken and wounded could very well be used by Islamic terrorist propagandists as inspiration. This photo could become a rallying point for the very fundamentalist terrorist websites and publications that fueled the Tsarnaev’s ideological spiral that led to violence. In fact, I would be very surprised if it did not.

Not that I think that justifies censoring it. I’m glad Murphy released these photos, because it is important to see that the bad guy is not a mustache-twirling villain, but that bad guys are human, and we are only hurting ourselves if we pretend otherwise. It’s just telling that a picture that has a lot more potential to be used to enrage and inspire Islamic terrorists is being applauded by the right, when one that really can’t be used for that is being turned into a controversy. That would be because Murphy’s photo doesn’t fit into the “evil liberal media loves terrorist” narrative—and the narrative, not the facts, is all that the conservatives who are the bulk of the fauxtroversy care about.

Funny how MSM is awash with information about Tamerlan's jihadi video diet and Jahar's pot diet, but we don't hear anything about this shit. Maybe the selection of April 15 as the date of destruction did have some significance. Then again, maybe this is just CIA-planted disinfo to supplement the Alex Jones diet. There's certainly enough of their fingerprints on so many aspects of this case I really don't understand why their involvement is doubted.

The older of two brothers who allegedly bombed the Boston Marathon earlier this year had “right wing extremist” literature including information about gun rights and white supremacy.

The BBC program Panorama spent months speaking to friends in attempt to uncover what might have radicalized Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed by police following the bombing.

In a report published on Monday, the network said that it had learned that Tamerlan subscribed to publications that promoted white supremacy. Some articles that were in his possession asserted that the government was behind both the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

One piece of literature discussed “the rape of our gun rights,” and a white supremacist document argued that “Hitler had a point.” Other materials described how mass killers acted calmly while carrying out their crimes.

BBC also discovered articles about the how U.S. drone attacks kill civilians and the suffering of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

Funny how MSM is awash with information about Tamerlan's jihadi video diet and Jahar's pot diet, but we don't hear anything about this shit. Maybe the selection of April 15 as the date of destruction did have some significance. Then again, maybe this is just CIA-planted disinfo to supplement the Alex Jones diet. There's certainly enough of their fingerprints on so many aspects of this case I really don't understand why their involvement is doubted.

BBC: Boston bomber had literature about white supremacy and gun rights

The older of two brothers who allegedly bombed the Boston Marathon earlier this year had “right wing extremist” literature including information about gun rights and white supremacy.

The BBC program Panorama spent months speaking to friends in attempt to uncover what might have radicalized Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed by police following the bombing.

In a report published on Monday, the network said that it had learned that Tamerlan subscribed to publications that promoted white supremacy. Some articles that were in his possession asserted that the government was behind both the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

One piece of literature discussed “the rape of our gun rights,” and a white supremacist document argued that “Hitler had a point.” Other materials described how mass killers acted calmly while carrying out their crimes.

BBC also discovered articles about the how U.S. drone attacks kill civilians and the suffering of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

You're right, that certainly wouldn't be a precedent. Now, in this case, we are left with Teabaggin' Jihadis. Go figure.

On another note, I am disgusted, but not surprised, at the laziness of Rolling Stone in their report. Quoting Brian Glyn Williams, mentioning the "coincidence" of his correspondence with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, yet neglecting to mention his other job as a paid employee of the CIA, as well as his association with the Jamestown Foundation, which Tamerlan "coincidentally" was connected with in his 2012 trip abroad. You're right, it's not a smoking gun, but those fingerprints have shown up too many times on this case to simply chalk it up as coincidence. That's just one example of the numerous problems I have with the Rolling Stone article.

Yeah I swear the first 15 or so pages on this thread some of us were sure it was going to be white right winger types, given the date(tax/patriot day and so close to OKC 19th date) and Boston(boston tea party)

I'm trying to be more careful in recent years with making sure facts or reports directly point to something, but indeed...a lot of "hmmm, that's...odd..." stuff with the Boston thing. The Uncle/CIA/Chechen Jihad charity nexus and the FBI killing of the MMA guy for starters.
