This thread was a disturbing read. I haven't read the last couple of pages.

There's a couple of points I'd make.

First, a few pages ago there was the thing with frank bruno, This is Your Life and phil Collins.

The first song I've ever heard by Collins was "in the air tonight.

It always spun me out a bit. Like he really meant this. I'm not much of a phil collins fan at all, but that song is still ok imo.

Here are the lyrics:

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment, all my life, Oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord

Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend
But I don't know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment all my life, Oh Lord, Oh Lord

Well I remember, I remember don't worry
How could I ever forget, it's the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you don't fool me
The hurt doesn't show; but the pain still grows
It's no stranger to you or me

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord...

Ok then.

What exactly is 'In The Air Tonight' about?
I don't know what this song is about. When I was writing this I was going through a divorce. And the only thing I can say about it is that it's obviously in anger. It's the angry side, or the bitter side of a separation. So what makes it even more comical is when I hear these stories which started many years ago, particularly in America, of someone come up to me and say, 'Did you really see someone drowning?' I said, 'No, wrong'. And then every time I go back to America the story gets Chinese whispers, it gets more and more elaborate. It's so frustrating, 'cos this is one song out of all the songs probably that I've ever written that I really don't know what it's about, you know.
Where does the line 'Wipe off that grin' come from?
Well, it's that smug look that someone who thinks they've got one over on you, you know. They think that they've convinced you that what they're doing is telling you the truth. And in fact, you know it's a lie. 'A pack of lies' - I mean it's just a you know, it's just one lie after the other.
'The first time, the last time we ever met'... Contradiction?
I didn't go back to look at the thing and say - 'Now, does this make sense because someone's gonna ask me years later?' I just said, 'does that sound good?' - 'It's the first time, the last time we ever met' You know, I said, 'yeah, that sounds great'. Because I'm not very good with words. I mean, although I'm writing lyrics, I'm not very good with words talking. So, I thought, when she hears this she'll know how I feel.

(note thwe source)

Collins claims this song is about his divorce, or that it was written during his divorce or something, and that could certainly inspire the anger that seems to bubble under the song, but given the content of this thread and his appearance I thought it might be worth mentioning (or not.)

As far as media personalities in Australia go wrt to what smiths said way back near the start of the thread about things being different here.

Its a difficuult thing cos there are claims about pedophilia made about openly gay people by political and cultural enemies so they need to be taken with a grain of salt, but there are also things to wonder about.

Molly Meldrum, who hosted Countdown, our version of top of the pops, was an Australian music gatekeeper for years. Openly gay, he is mates with the likes of Madonna, Elton John and was with Micheal Jackson - pop royalty allegedly. I'm niot a fan of calling gay people pedos, but with MM there are interesting stories. One was money paid to a street kid - a 15 year old boy - to either act as a prostitute at one of his parties or to shut him up.

I heard the same thing about Sophie Lee's old boyfriend - Chook - Tthe only name I know for him. (Sophie Lee presented a Warner bros cartoon show in Australia and was promoted as the person middle aged men rushed home to watch as she introduced cartoons. She would have been under 22 at the time, but clearly an adult.)

There's also this tory about the Human Headline - Derryn Hinch. An Australian broadcast personality known for his strident anti child abuse and anti drink driving campaigns. Hinch has publicly stated that he was sexually abused by an uncle when he was around 10 or younger and that experience fuelled his anti child abuse efforts:

I say I have a problem because, inadvertently, I was guilty of a
similar crime. An adult having a sexual relationship with an underage
girl. And I confessed and detailed it in my book, The Fall and Rise of
Derryn Hinch.

I won't name her. I met her at a party at Molly Meldrum's house
about three o'clock in the morning. I had seen her in lingerie ads in
magazines like the Women's Weekly. She was exotic. European. And I
thought she was about 25. Obviously this was a long time ago.

We went out together days later. We ended up in bed. The next night we
went to dinner again and, frankly, I thought her lack of knowledge -
and struggling current affairs conversation -- was because English was
obviously her second language.

At dinner, I mentioned actor Warren Beatty - and pronounced his name
the way he does: Warren Batey. She looked bewildered. I then repeated
it as "Beatey" and she still looked bewildered. Suddenly the penny
dropped. She was too young to have heard of him.

I asked her, too late, how old she was. She may have been a
professional model wearing lacy bras and knickers in the Women's
Weekly but she was only fifteen. And what we had done was illegal.

And I could have been arrested and could have been charged with
unlawful carnal knowledge. And my career could have been ruined the way

that the career of teacher Andrew Phillips has been destroyed.

Nobody could be more fierce about child molestation than me. I"ve
been to jail over it. But methinks this time the Education Department
may be wrong. And I don't say that because of my own failings.

He was twenty. True. She was only fifteen. But they had a consensual
sexual relationship. Should that make him a bad or distrusted teacher
forever? I find it hard to say this but I don't think so. I tend to
agree with Shane Green in The Age today wo says the new teacher sex law is an ass.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derryn_Hinch

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molly_Meldrum

Apparently Molly Meldrum has an Egyptian themed house called "Luxor".

Meldrum is similar to Saville in that he hosted a national top of the pops type show for years, and was the most powerful figure in the ASustralian music industry for years, or as powerful as anyone else. I dunno about his connection to pedophilia but there are soime traces. That street kid story was told to me years ago, "Chook" played in a band at a club I worked in, along with Sophie Lee, and it was around then that I heard the stories about Meldrum and Chook. Probably off a band member over beers, joints or lines.

I've never heard of popular rumours about him, apart from the Hinch story its just gossip I've heard.

Anyway there is one more tale, this time by Hinch himself concerning two Australian clown Zig and Zag and an associate.

The scandal not only meant that one of Australia’s most famous clowns was a pedophile but that his partner, McKenzie, knew it and for years continued the charade as a comic duo with his child-molesting partner.

After the scandal was made public and they were stripped of the Moomba honours I’m told Zig and Zag never spoke to each other again.

I’m going back to this not because of Zig and Zag but to wonder how much McKenzie knew of Perry’s child-molesting – as far back as the 1960s.

Because it seems there was more than one pedophile in the cast of Peters Fun Fair. There were other predators who targeted young girls in the live audience for the show.

One of them: Cousin Roy. Roy Lyons.

One of his victims has contacted me to tell her story for the first time. She and her girlfriend were 11 years old when they were invited by her girlfriend’s older cousin to be in the studio audience in 1963 and 1964.

I worked in a record store when I was in college. Collins was big at the time, and since it was a corporate chain we had to play a lot of mainstream pop. Looping a bit from In The Air Tonight, a co-worker created a favorite trick: the endlessly repeating drum crescendo to nowhere! We'd play it until all the customers were annoyed enough to leave.

Hi Joe!

Stuart Hall, BBC Presenter, Charged With Indecent Assaults On Underage Girls
Reuters | Posted: 12/05/2012 3:13 pm EST Updated: 12/05/2012 4:15 pm EST

LONDON, Dec 5 (Reuters) - A veteran BBC TV and radio presenter was charged with three counts of indecent assault by British police on Wednesday, the latest high-profile figure to be questioned since a sex scandal erupted at Britain's publicly funded broadcaster.

The charges will be a further embarrassment for the BBC, which was thrown into turmoil when it was revealed in October that one of its former top stars, the late Jimmy Savile, had been one of Britain's most prolific serial child sex offenders.

Stuart Hall, 82, best known for hosting the popular TV programme "It's a Knockout" in the 1970s and 80s and who still appears on radio, was not charged with rape, police said.

"The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1974 and 1984 and to involve three girls aged between 9 and 16 years," police said in a statement.

Hall has been released on bail and will appear before magistrates on Jan. 7, police said.

The presenter still regularly appears on BBC airwaves, delivering erudite and grandiose soccer reports for which he is well-known to sports fans.

His agent declined to go into detail about the arrest and referred queries to the BBC, but a spokeswoman for the broadcaster said: "We are not commenting on that."

After revelations about Savile emerged in October, police launched an investigation into the presenter and potential accomplices. They have so far quizzed five people including the former glam rock singer Gary Glitter and comedian Freddie Starr, who both deny any wrongdoing.

Hall's arrest is not part of that investigation, but revelations about Savile have prompted a flurry of allegations to police around the country.

The broadcaster's much-criticised response to the disclosures and suggestions it had covered up allegations against Savile led to the resignation of its director general George Entwistle last month.

Max Clifford arrested in sex offences investigation

Leading public relations expert Max Clifford has been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences.

He was arrested by Met Police officers at 07:40 GMT at his home in Surrey.

Officers from Operation Yewtree - set up in the wake of the Jimmy Savile scandal - made the arrest but it is not connected to the allegations made against the late BBC presenter.

A solicitor acting for Mr Clifford said he was being interviewed by police and would assist them "as best he can".

Max Clifford is one of the most influential figures in the British media.

He is the sixth person to be questioned as part of Operation Yewtree, the Met's investigation into allegations, some dating back decades, that have arisen since the late Jimmy Savile was accused of abuse.

The operation has three strands.

One is looking specifically at the actions of Jimmy Savile and the second strand concerns allegations against "Savile and others". The separate third strand relates to alleged complaints against other people unconnected to the Jimmy Savile investigations.

Scotland Yard said the man they took to a central London police station on Thursday morning was being investigated under the last strand of Yewtree's investigations.

Five people have now been arrested and a sixth questioned under Yewtree.

The four other people arrested are Freddie Starr, Gary Glitter, Wilfred De'Ath, a retired BBC producer, and radio broadcaster Dave Lee Travis. Police have also questioned under caution a man in his 80s.

Charlotte Harris, of lawyers Mishcon de Reya, said: "Max Clifford is being interviewed by police. Mr Clifford will assist the police as best he can with their inquiries. When we are in a position to provide further information, we will."

......Hall's a funny one to crop up - very adjacent to Icke's old BBC sport's reporting gig.....

...Clifford's a massive bombshell..... this repellent sleaze-creep is the anti-Assange - a whistle-silencer grown fat & rich wallowing in the gutter and sewer of the celebrity so-called "culture" picking up all the soiled laundry and used prophylactics and storing them away for future use - ironic to see him getting the same sexual allegation treatment as the genuine article and called in for a liitle chat...

Publicist Max Clifford Denies Covering Up Conservative MP Alan Clark's Underage Sex Scandal
Friday, 09 November 2012 10:56

By David Icke

www.davidicke.com

'The former government minister Alan Clark had sex with children, according to the publicity agent Max Clifford. In a secretly filmed, three-minute interview posted on the internet last night, the publicist said that the Tory MP and diarist had "interfered" with two 14-year-old girls. But he added, during a discussion of his success in suppressing scandals, that the story had never come out.

Last night Mr Clifford, who was unaware his comments were being recorded, strenuously denied that he had told the girls' family to stay quiet about the allegations.'

Bringing up names in this context is unwise.

You can get in trouble for that.

Just because someone had an association with Saville, or related charity work, is not enough to damn them.

mutters something about a fine rock drummer

Yeah, hi Joe! I would give you a hand with those nappies, but I'm half a world away! Probably further!

Thank you everyone for the exemplary posts here; I'd never have read about even 10% of this stuff if not for this thread.

Anyone else notice that the super-incriminating, mind-blowing "When Louis Theroux Met Jimmy Savile" program was immediately erased from Youtube when this story broke? And every subsequent uploaded copy was also removed right away, though all sorts of other copyrighted Theroux shows are still there. I highly recommend seeking it out and watching the incredible first 10 minutes. Oh wait, I just found it elsewhere:

http://vimeo.com/52520464

On another note, I haven't seen Paul Kidd or Jeffrey Epstein mentioned yet:

Buckingham Palace butler 'ran paedophile sex ring'

A former Buckingham Palace butler has been unmasked as a sexual predator who ran a paedophile ring while serving the Royal Family.

Bachelor Paul Kidd, 55, groomed at least one of his teenage victims for sex by taking him for tea with the Queen Mother at Clarence House, it has emerged.

To the public, he had been the urbane gent who waited on the Royals for nine years - first the Queen at the Palace and then her mother.

He often publicly gushed about his blue blood employers talking of the Queen as 'courteous and genuinely caring.'

But behind the facade, Kidd was leading a secret double life as a serial child abuser who molested a string of boys over a 30 year period.

He was finally exposed after one of his victims read a newspaper article in which he boasted about his links to the Royals and talked fondly of Princess Diana and her musical tastes.

Police raided his two bedroom home in St Johns Street, Stalybridge, where they found almost 19,000 pornographic pictures and videos of children.

Included in the haul were some nude pictures of a teenager who officers were able to trace and interview.

Some images were hidden in a safe while others were encrypted on his computer.

Kidd admitted 29 sex charges involving three boys namely indecent assault, sexual activity with a child and the possessing and making of indecent images of children between December 1974 and January 2008.

An accomplice David Hobday, 56, of St Johns Street, Dukinfield admitted seven charges involving one of the victims of sexual activity with a child and possessing indecent images. Both men face a maximum 14 years in jail.

A police source said: 'Kidd was a very accomplished groomer of children.

'Given that he has been behaving like this for 30 years the likelihood is there could be many other victims out there who have not yet come forward.

'This man used his Royal connections to impress and seduce young boys. He even had autographed pictures of Manchester United players on his walls at home.

'He was acting with at least one other man and it's possible he could have been communicating with many other paedophiles over many years.

'These offences are probably just the tip of the iceberg.'

Kidd had honed his skills as a silver service waiter when he joined the Royal Navy after leaving school - looking after the captain and officers.

During his naval service he visited 22 countries around the world. In 1976 he was appointed as butler to the Queen at Buckingham Palace and served there for six years until being transferred to Clarence House where he served the Queen Mother.

During his years in Royal service, he was said to have met and looked after three American Presidents including Jimmy Carter and Ronald Regan plus many other Heads of State from around the world.

He was also said to have worked closely with Princess Diana at Buckingham Palace in the six months prior to her wedding to Prince Charles.

In 1985 he gave up Royal Service due to a cancer scare but then started charging up to £4,000 a time as an after dinner speaker talking about his work with the Royal Family.

He ran a series of lectures including one he called: An uncomfortable experience for the Queens page boy.

Kidd also starred on numerous TV chat shows in the UK and USA including the Caroline Rhea show in New York.

He also appeared on stage with Hollywood actor Robin Williams at the Nemacolin Spa & Resort Centre in the USA.

He joined Robert Kilroy Silk's UK Independence party standing unsuccessfully as a candidate in local council elections.

In one interview Kidd said of the Queen: 'She was always very courteous, but she only ever addressed me as 'Kidd' - never by my first name.

'She deals with people in a genuinely caring manner. Her children are the future of the country, they cannot be brought up in a namby-pamby manner.

'But in private, as a mother and grandmother, she dotes on the children.'

Police began investigating Kidd earlier this year after a victim, now 41 read a newspaper article about Kidd in which he talked about Princess Diana on the 10th anniversary of her death.

The victim was thought to be so disgusted by his bragging, he went to police and told officers how he was 14 when he was abused by Kidd after meeting him through a CB radio group.

Kidd introduced the lad to his Royal employers and took him for tea with the Queen Mother in the late 70s.

It is believed the victim even spoke to the Queen Mother - at a time when the late Royal had no idea he was being secretly abused by her servant.

It emerged he had met Kidd though a religious group when he was 14 and he was sexually accused and passed onto another paedophile.

A third victim later came forward to say he was abused in the 1980s when he was 15 after meeting him when Kidd was training to be a nurse.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, Kidd and Hobday were told they would be sentenced on November 20 after probation officers complete a report assessing whether they are a risk to the public.

Various other charges will be allowed to lie on file.

Both were remanded in custody and Judge Mushtaq Khokhar told them: 'You have both pleaded guilty to serious offences and you will be under no illusion that the likely sentence is going to be custody.'

Billionaire Pedophile Goes Free
The Pedo, his Procurer, her Royal and his Girls

Hedge fund mogul Jeffrey Epstein became a free man Wednesday, five years after he was first accused of sexually abusing underage girls. After months of reporting, The Daily Beast’s Conchita Sarnoff reveals exclusive details of the investigation and the legal wrangling that saved him from a long prison term. She reports:

• Palm Beach’s police chief objected to Epstein’s “special treatment” and gave The Daily Beast an exclusive look at his nine-hour deposition about the investigation.

• Earlier versions of the U.S attorney’s charges, including a sealed 53-page indictment, could have landed Epstein in prison for 20 years.

• Victims alleged that Epstein molested underage girls from South America, Europe, and the former Soviet republics, including three 12-year-old girls brought over from France as a birthday gift.

• The victims also alleged trips out of state and abroad on Epstein’s private jets, which would be evidence of sex trafficking—a much more serious federal crime than the state charges Epstein was convicted of.

• Epstein’s attorneys investigated members of the Palm Beach Police Department, while others ordered private investigators to follow and intimidate the victims’ families; one even posed as a police officer.

• Then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales told The Daily Beast that he “would have instructed the Justice Department to pursue justice without making a political mess.”

...

But the question remains: Did Epstein’s wealth and social connections—former President Bill Clinton; Prince Andrew; former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak; New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers were just a few of the prominent passengers on his private jets—allow him to receive only a slap on the wrist for crimes that carry a mandatory 20-year sentence? Was he able, with his limitless assets and heavy-hitting lawyers—Alan Dershowitz, Gerald Lefcourt, Roy Black, Kenneth Starr, Guy Lewis, and Martin Weinberger among them—to escape equal justice?

Epstein has befriended high profile scientists such as Leonard Susskind, Richard Axel, Gerald Edelman, Murray Gell-Mann, Ben Goertzel, and Marvin Minsky, and politicians including George J. Mitchell and Bill Clinton.[citation needed] In September 2002 he flew Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker to Africa in his private Boeing 727, to promote the former president's anti-AIDS efforts.[1]

Epstein is a friend and supporter of theoretical biologist Martin Nowak. He funded Nowak's research at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton[1] and in 2003 pledged $30 million to Harvard University to fund the newly created Program for Evolutionary Dynamics there which Nowak directs.[3][4]

He is a former board member of Rockefeller University, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the Trilateral Commission, and the Council on Foreign Relations, and a visiting fellow at Harvard University. He has also funded microbiology experiments in Bangladesh, particle physics in South Africa and M-theory in India and was a founding member of the Scholar Rescue Fund. Epstein is a former trustee of the International Institute for Education, the parent organization of the Fulbright Program. He has held conferences on artificial intelligence, cosmology and the origin of life with prominent scientists.

Prince Andrew and the 17-year-old girl his sex offender friend flew to Britain to meet him

As the UK's special representative for international trade, the Duke of York holds an important position, requiring sound judgement and widespread respect.

But those qualities have been thrown into question since photographs of Prince Andrew with his billionaire financier friend Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted child-sex offender who was jailed for 18 months for soliciting underage prostitutes, appeared last weekend.

Today, however, even more serious doubts are cast on his suitability after a woman at the centre of the Epstein case revealed to The Mail on Sunday that she had, as a 17-year-old employed by Epstein, been flown across the world to be introduced to the Prince.

On one of those occasions Virginia Roberts was subsequently paid $15,000 (£9,400). Her shocking account of her four years as Epstein’s personal masseuse is supported by court documents, an eyewitness, photographs and flight details of Epstein’s private jets.

One picture, said to have been taken by Epstein during Andrew’s first encounter with the girl in March 2001 and published today by The Mail on Sunday, shows the Prince with his arm around her waist.

This is not the first time the Duke of York’s judgment and choice of associates have been questioned. He appears to relish the company of super-rich oil billionaires from the Middle East, North Africa and the former Soviet Union.

The peculiar sale of his former marital home to a Kazakh businessman for £15 million after it had languished unsold for five years at £12 million has never been satisfactorily explained.

In the recent leak of American diplomatic cables it was revealed that he had criticised an official corruption investigation into the huge Al-Yamamah arms deal between Britain and Saudi Arabia, while he is also said to be close to Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the beleaguered Libyan president, and may have had a role in the early release of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Al Megrahi.

But it is Andrew’s friendship with Epstein, whom he has known since at least 2000, and with Epstein’s confidante Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of the late disgraced newspaper baron Robert Maxwell, that gives most concern.

He was first seen with the pair on holiday in Thailand, and was pictured cavorting with Ghislaine at a Halloween fetishthemed party in Manhattan.

The photograph that appeared last weekend shows the prince strolling through Central Park with 58-year-old Epstein. Andrew was said to have spent four days at his New York mansion in December, when he was joined by other distinguished guests, including Woody Allen, at a dinner.

It is by no means the first New York soiree Andrew has attended as Epstein’s guest.

A lengthy profile of the financier in Vanity Fair magazine some years ago reported that Andrew was a guest at a cocktail party thrown by Epstein and Maxwell packed with young Russian models. ‘Some guests were horrified,’ said the article’s author, Vicky Ward.

It should not be forgotten that Epstein is a registered sex offender after recently completing his sentence for offences relating to child prostitution.

However, he avoided trial on more serious charges that carried a potential life sentence. And no one reading The Mail on Sunday’s interview with the woman who was prepared to testify against him can be in any doubt of the seriousness of the charges.

Jeffrey Epstein: Billionaire Pedophile Kept Secret Journal Which Listed Under-Aged Victims, Celebrity Guests He ‘Entertained’

Via: Daily Mail:

The FBI is to reopen its investigation into disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein following Mail on Sunday revelations about his sexual exploitation of teenage girls and his links with high-profile individuals, including Prince Andrew.

The Bureau wants to interview Esptein’s former personal ‘masseuse’, Virginia Roberts, after she revealed last week that she was recruited as Epstein’s sex slave when she was just 15.

Last night, in an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, Virginia confirmed she will fully co-operate with the new investigation, which could have serious implications for Epstein and embarrass Prince Andrew, who she met on three occasions.

‘I will talk to the FBI,’ Virginia said.‘I am anxious. I am still frightened of him because he has so much power. I had to put this behind me.

‘But in the end this is not for me. It’s because I’m afraid there are a lot of girls still doing what I did for him, eight years after I left. I want to be the one who breaks the chain.’

The news comes as the Government appeared to withdraw support for the Prince’s role as a trade envoy, with Business Secretary Vince Cable refusing to say whether he should stay in the post.

A source close to the inquiry said the FBI decided to reopen the case because of Virginia’s revelations to The Mail on Sunday last week.

The new FBI investigation will undoubtedly be of grave concern to Prince Andrew, who was forced to accept that his continued friendship with the financier, a convicted child sex offender, was unwise.

On Friday, he severed all ties with Epstein – although the new investigation could reveal further damaging details of their association.

Virginia’s account of her meetings with the Prince was published under the restrictions of British libel laws, notoriously the most draconian in the Western world. There will be no such restraint on her testimony to FBI investigators.

It is highly likely that detectives will also wish to question the Prince as part of their investigation. If subpoenaed he may be forced to plead diplomatic immunity based on his role as business envoy for UK Trade and Investment. Last week David Cameron faced calls from the floor of the Commons to remove the Prince from his post.

If Andrew refuses to co-operate with US authorities he would, in all likelihood, be banned from entering the States, which would seriously affect his ability to fulfil his role as a trade envoy.

It is believed the new investigation will centre on Epstein’s procuring of young girls and paying them to provide sexual favours for his business associates at his homes in New York, Florida, the US Virgin Islands and New Mexico.

Epstein’s palatial houses were secretly covered by a network of hidden video cameras, raising concerns that compromising footage exists of a number of rich and powerful individuals useful to Epstein’s work as a money manager.

It is an astonishing roll call of names which shines a fascinating light into the world of Jeffrey Epstein and the powerful network he established both here and in America.

The financier’s ‘little black book’ of contacts encompasses every conceivable sphere of influence, from politics and showbusiness to business and royalty. It lists numbers for former presidents, government Ministers, state senators, rock stars, actors and members of the British aristocracy.

Jeffrey Epstein used the “black book” to log contact details of the girls that gave massages to him and his friends and those of his powerful and famous associates, such as Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

A servant at the £4 million manor in Palm Beach, where Prince Andrew enjoyed daily massages during several stays, stole the journal and initially kept it secret from investigators. He is now in prison after attempting to sell it for $50,000 (£31,000).

Epstein, 58, was accused of sex offences by more than 20 under-aged girls. They alleged that after being recruited as masseuses by aides including Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of the late tycoon Robert, they were seriously assaulted and then paid hundreds of dollars.

The billionaire financier, who attended The Queen’s birthday party in 2000, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2008, having secured a plea bargain that prevented full criminal trials. He later settled more than a dozen multi-million dollar civil lawsuits from his alleged victims out of court.

The previously undisclosed journal, however, “detailed the full scope and the extent of Epstein’s involvement with underage girls”, according to lawyers for several alleged victims.

It contained the names of girls that Epstein allegedly abused in “Michigan, California, West Palm Beach, New York, New Mexico, and Paris”, according to court papers.

It also listed extensive contact details for Epstein’s house guests, who had “no connection whatsoever” with alleged offences, including Mr Clinton, the former US President, and Mr Trump, the famous businessman.

It could not be confirmed last night whether the book contained contact details for the Duke. One lawyer for Epstein’s alleged victims said: “I would bet he is, because he is that good a friend”.

There is no suggestion that the Duke did anything wrong. However he has this week faced a string of questions about his judgment due to his association with a convicted child sex offender.

Epstein kept 21 different phone numbers for Mr Clinton, including some for his assistant and also “Clinton’s personal numbers”, the court papers state.

Alfredo Rodriguez, a servant who “saw numerous underage girls coming into Epstein’s mansion for purported ‘massages’,” took the journal and did not mention it to investigators.

“Because of the importance of the information in the journal to the civil cases, Mr Rodriguez called it ‘The Holy Grail’,” the court documents state.

He attempted to sell the book to lawyers for $50,000 (£31,000) in August 2009 – by which time Epstein had already been sentenced and released from jail.

The lawyers contacted the FBI, who sent an undercover agent to buy the book from Rodriguez. He was then arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.

Rodriguez, who said in sworn testimony that he was terrified of Miss Maxwell, also said he took the book as an “insurance policy” to prevent Epstein making him “disappear”.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison – the same punishment Epstein received for his sex offences – in June last year. His wife, Patricia Dunn, told The Daily Telegraph that he was “sorry” for his error.

Dave Lee Brannon, an Assistant Public Defender who represented Rodriguez, said: “If this book had been produced when requested, Mr Epstein’s sentence may have been significantly different.”

Details of the journal emerged in a lawsuit brought in Florida by Epstein against Brad Edwards, a lawyer representing several alleged victims.

Epstein alleges Edwards was linked to a “Ponzi scheme” run by a colleague, which lured investors by falsely claiming Epstein had agreed to settle sex-offence lawsuits for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Edwards rejects the allegation, which has already been dismissed by the Florida Bar.
The new way of thinking is precisely delineated by what it is not.

Scotland Yard investigating allegations senior politicians abused children in the 1980s and used 'connections' to escape justice

Metropolitan Police's child abuse investigation team have interviewed several adults who claim that they were sexually assaulted as children by MPs in a paedophile ring

Scotland Yard detectives are looking into allegations that senior politicians abused children in the 1980s and escaped justice because they were protected by their powerful connections.

During past weeks officers from the Metropolitan Police’s child abuse investigation team have interviewed several adults who claim that they were sexually assaulted as children by MPs in a paedophile ring.

The team was set up following claims by Labour MP Tom Watson in the House Commons that the police should look afresh at claims of a “powerful paedophile network linked to Parliament and No 10”.

Until today when the Metropolitan Police confirmed its existence, the inquiry, Operation Fairbank, had been operating in secret at the headquarters of the Child Abuse Investigation Team at Empress State Building in Earl’s Court, London.

Officers with the team, part of the Specialist Crimes and Operations Directorate, have spoken regularly to Mr Watson.

The Metropolitan Police stressed that Operation Fairbank was a “scoping exercise” aimed at a preliminary assessment of the evidence rather than a formal inquiry.

However, officers are understood to be taking the witnesses’s claims very seriously and are expected to make arrests in coming weeks.

Raising the issue at Prime Minister’s Questions on 24 October, Mr Watson - who alleged widespread phone hacking at the News of the World before police began a new inquiry - urged police to re-open the evidence file on Peter Righton.

Righton, a former consultant to the National Children’s Bureau, was convicted of importing and possessing illegal homosexual pornographic material in 1992.

Saying that the file contained “clear intelligence of a widespread paedophile ring”, the MP said: “One of its members boasts of a link to a senior aide of a former Prime Minister, who says he could smuggle indecent images of children from abroad.

“The leads were not followed up, but if the files still exist, I want to ensure that the Metropolitan Police secure the evidence, re-examine it, and investigate clear intelligence suggesting a powerful paedophile network linked to Parliament and No 10.”

Five officers are working on the inquiry.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers have spoken with MP Tom Watson who has passed on some information which is now being looked into.

“As a result, officers are continuing to collate information. This is being assessed by officers under Operation Fairbank.

“We would continue to appeal to anyone who has concerns to report them to us. Any information is treated with the utmost seriousness and can be given in confidence.”

Updating the public on the investigation into alleged sexual offences in showbusiness, Scotland Yard said that the number of alleged sex abuse victims of the late BBC TV presenter Jimmy Savile had reached 450.
Commander Peter Spindler, head of Operation Yewtree, suggested Savile - who escaped detection and died aged 84 last October - had been a serial abuser of children.

Commander Spindler said: "Savile's offending peaked in the 70s and what we can show, or will be showing in the New Year, is how he used his position in society across the country - the crimes relate to 17 different police force areas - how he exploited this position to get his sexual gratification."

In total, 589 alleged victims have come forward to allege abuse by Savile and others.

Over the past two months, detectives have arrested several high-profile names, including the comedian Freddie Starr, the former BBC disc jockey Dave Lee Travis, the former BBC producer Wilfred De'Ath and the publicist Max Clifford. They all deny any wrongdoing. Gary Glitter, who was also arrested, has not yet issued a statement.

Twisted Jimmy Savile carried out an 'unprecedented' 60 year long campaign of sexual abuse across Britain with up to 450 victims, including 34 who claim to have been raped, an official report revealed.

Since the paedophile DJ died in October 2011 aged 84, a staggering 214 official crimes have been recorded by 28 police forces.

Today's report into his abuse states Savile used his celebrity to 'hide in plain sight' while he targeted those as young as eight and sexually assaulted at least 23 on BBC premises, as well as in 14 hospitals and at least one hospice between 1955 and 2009.
Releasing today's report, Peter Spindler, the police officer in charge of the investigation, said Savile had 'groomed the nation'.

Shocking: Police have produced a map of the UK where Savile carried out the sex crimes that have been recorded by officers, with his most prolific offending at BBC Television Centre. The graphic also highlights the other places the paedophile most-often attacked including three hospitals and a school
The report reveals the paedophile carried out an 'unprecedented' level of abuse but stated 'he had committed sex crimes before he became famous.'
The report branded him one of Britain's worst 'predatory sex offenders', but the document raises huge questions about why he was never caught by police in his lifetime.
One victim said today: 'It feels so good to be free of secrets'.
Compiled by Scotland Yard and the NSPCC, today's report called 'Giving Victims a Voice', also found:
Boy aged eight was among DJ's victims
There were 34 rapes and 126 indecent acts on victims aged up to 47

73% of his victims were aged under 18, and most were girls aged between 13 and 16
TV host abused 23 on BBC premises and struck at 14 hospitals and a hospice
The peak of his predatory attacks was between 1966 and 1976, when he was aged between 40 and 50
Since October 600 people have come forward with complaints and the total number of these relating to Savile is 450 - 214 have been recorded as crimes

Earliest offence was in Manchester in 1955, and the final reported allegation was in 2009 when he was aged 82

Paedophile: Police and the NSPCC have published details of decades of abuse by Jimmy Savile today The Crown Prosecution Service today apologised for not bringing him to justice in 2009.

Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer said: 'I would like to take the opportunity to apologise for the shortcomings in the part played by the CPS in these cases.

'If this report and my apology are to serve their full purpose, then this must be seen as a watershed moment.'
Shockingly, the earliest reported offence committed by Savile was in Manchester in 1955, and the final reported allegation was in 2009.
The last known offences was two years before death, when aged 80, and he put his hand up the skirt of 43-year-old female train passenger.

The peak of his predatory attacks was between 1966 and 1976, when he was aged between 40 and 50.
Since Operation Yewtree began on October 5 2012, about 600 people
have come forward to provide information to the investigative team. The total number of these relating to Savile is 450.
The significant difference between the number of crime reports and the number of people
who have come forward is due to some people wishing to remain anonymous and others who don’t wish the matter to be reported as a crime or are unable to remember sufficient detail.

There are 34 rapes and 126 indecent acts, the police and NSPCC report said, and of his victims, 73 per cent were children, with the total victim age range between eight and 47 years old at the time.

Commander Peter Spindler, head of the Met's Specialist Crime Investigations unit, said: 'It paints a stark picture emphasising the tragic consequences of when vulnerability and power collide.

'Savile's offending footprint was vast, predatory and opportunistic. He cannot face justice today but we hope this report gives some comfort to his hundreds of victims, they have been listened to and taken seriously.
'We must use the learning from these shocking events to prevent other children and vulnerable adults being abused in the future. They will get a voice.'

Jimmy Savile with female patients at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The DJ's abuse there and at other institutions have become well known

Findings: Today's report finds victims ranged from eight to 47 years old, including 174 females and 40 males, with 50 attacks taking place at hospitals, 33 at TV or radio studios and 14 at schools
The report states that a large amount of the abuse happened at BBC buildings, including Television Centre in London, where Jim'll Fix it was filmed - between 1965 and 2006 - including an attack during the filming of the last Top Of The Pops.
REPORT REVEALS FURTHER SEX ATTACKS BY SAVILE
1960: A 10-year-old boy saw Savile outside a hotel and asked for his autograph. They went into the hotel reception where he was seriously sexually assaulted

1965: A 14-year-old girl met Savile in a nightclub. She later visited his home and was raped

1972: A 12-year-old boy and two female friends attended a recording of Top of the Pops. During a break in filming Savile groped his genitals and the breasts of his two friends

1973: A 16-year-old female hospital patient was befriended by Savile. He led her to an office where he kissed her, touched her inappropriately and then
subjected her to a sexual assault

1974: Savile took a 14-year-old schoolgirl for a drive in his car and seriously
sexually assaulted her

2009: A 43-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by Savile when he put his hand up her skirt while talking to her on a train journey between Leeds and London
.Some were inside studios, others his dressing room and in his camper van in car-park.

Savile gained access to vulnerable children and adults at hospitals using his growing celebrity status and also abused school children after pupils wrote to him with Jim'll Fix It letters.
But the joint report stopped short of pinning any blame on other institutions that may have 'missed past opportunities' to stop Savile.

Downing Street said all the organisations where he attacked victims needed to investigate properly the latest 'appalling' allegations.

'The Prime Minister's view of this is that it is absolutely right that every institution involved gets to the bottom of what has gone on,' David Cameron's official spokesman said.
The BBC today said it was 'appalled' that some of the offences 'were committed on its premises', adding that it 'would like to restate our sincere apology to the victims of these crimes'.

Peter Watt, NSPCC Director of Child Protection Advice and Awareness, who co-authored the report with the Detective Superintendent David Gray, Operation Yewtree's Senior Investigating Officer, said that the scale of Savile's abuse 'simply beggared belief.'
'Savile was 'without doubt one of the most prolific sex offenders we have ever come across,' he said.

'We know from the huge increase in calls to the NSPCC helpline about sexual abuse that the problem did not die with Savile,' said Mr Watt.
'Since the Savile scandal broke we have seen a surge in contacts about child abuse, both past and present, with many victims speaking out for the first time.
'Almost 800 additional children have been protected from abuse because of the publicity around this case prompted people to contact our helpline. We are optimistic that this signals a watershed moment for child protection in this country. We must seize the opportunity if we are to make a lasting change.'
Enlarge Savile's offences also involve the period when he worked at Leeds General Infirmary as a porter between 1965 and 1995.

SAVILE ABUSE CLAIMS 'NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY ENOUGH' A chance to convict Jimmy Savile for sex offences against three victims when he was alive was missed because police and prosecutors did not take claims seriously enough.
Details of a review of the decision not to prosecute Savile in 2009 by Alison Levitt QC (above), legal adviser to the director of public prosecutions (DPP), were disclosed today.

She found that 'had the police and prosecutors taken a different approach' prosecutions could have been possible in relation to three victims.

Ms Levitt said that there was nothing to suggest the victims had colluded in their stories, or that they were unreliable.

Police and prosecutors treated their claims 'with a degree of caution which was neither justified nor required', she said.

Surrey Police received an allegation in May 2007 that Savile had sexually assaulted a teenage girl at Duncroft Children’s Home in the late 1970s.

In the investigation that followed, two more allegations emerged - the first that in about 1973 Jimmy Savile had sexually assaulted a girl aged about 14 outside Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The second was that in the 1970s Jimmy Savile had suggested to a girl aged about 17, again at Duncroft, that she perform oral sex on him.

In March 2008, Sussex Police received a complaint that Savile had sexually assaulted a woman in her early twenties in a caravan in Sussex in about 1970.
Surrey Police consulted with the CPS about all four allegations, and in October 2009 it was decided that no prosecution could be brought because the alleged victims would not support police action.
.Abuse at Stoke Mandeville Hospital took place between 1965 and 1988, while at Duncroft School, a children's home, the allegations cover a period between 1970 and 1978.
'There is no clear evidence of Savile operating within a paedophile ring although whether he was part of an informal network is part of the continuing investigation,' the report says.

'At Leeds General Infirmary, Broadmoor Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital he was taken at face value as a volunteer and fundraiser, probably because of his growing celebrity status,' the report states.

'Having been accepted at these institutions he gained access to vulnerable children and adults.'

Savile is reported to have committed offences at hospitals around Britain, including one reported case at the famous children's hospital Great Ormond Street in 1971.
A hospital spokeswoman said: 'The contents of this report are clearly extremely distressing for all those involved.

'In regards to the allegation made in connection with our organisation, we were made aware of this by the Metropolitan Police very recently. It relates to an incident in the early 1970s.

'The police have said that they do not intend to investigate further.'

Detective Superintendent David Gray, from the Met's paedophile unit, said Savile must have thought about his sex offending 'every minute of every waking day'.
Savile has also been accused of committing offences at Saxondale Mental Health Hospital in Nottinghamshire and High Royds Psychiatric Hospital in Leeds.

He is alleged to have committed one offence at each of the hospitals, which have both since closed, in 1971 and 1989 respectively.

A victim has also come forward to say they were abused at Ashworth Hospital High Secure Unit in 1971, according to the report.

Another offence is alleged to have taken place at Wheatfield hospice in Leeds in 1977. The hospice is run by care provider Sue Ryder.
Patients at four psychiatric hospitals, including Broadmoor, have come forward to report incidents.

Savile had his own set of keys to Broadmoor, in Berkshire. He also had an office and flat outside the main building. He has been accused of committing one offence there in 1991.
Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is leading an investigation into one offence which is alleged to have taken place at Exeter Hospital in 1970.

Meanwhile, another offence is said to have taken place at St Catherine's Hospital in Birkenhead in 1964

One offence is alleged to have taken place at Portsmouth Royal Hospital, which has since closed, in 1968. Another is said to have taken place at Wycombe General Hospital, which is run by the same trust at Stoke Mandeville.

In 1969, another alleged offence took place at Dewsbury Hospital in West Yorkshire.
The DJ was 'clever enough' to pick on the most vulnerable victims so that they would not speak out.

Allegations against him include 14 offences relating to schools across the country, partly when children had written to him as part of Jim'll Fix It.

Mr Gray said: 'Much as I think Savile could turn up at a hospital and expect to be given a warm welcome, he went to a number of schools because children had written to him.

'His peak offending came with the peak of his success.'

The report shows that large numbers of sexual assaults took place on BBC premises, such as Television Centre, where Jim'll Fix It was filmed
Mr Gray said there was no evidence to suggest that he was part of a paedophile ring, but he might have been part of 'an informal network' of abusers.
Savile died in October 2011, aged 84, a year before a documentary alleging the abuse was broadcast on ITV1.

The programme prompted hundreds of people to come forward with claims about decades of abuse.
As many of his attacks were in hospitals, particularly in Yorkshire, they have launched their own investigations into how he got away with it.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals said it would look into any complaints made to police about incidents at Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital, where Savile worked as a volunteer and fundraiser.

It said it would also investigate information given directly to the Trust about this 'extremely distressing subject'.
A spokesman for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust said: 'In early December, the Trust published the terms of reference for its internal investigation into matters relating to Jimmy Savile's long-standing involvement with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals as a volunteer and fundraiser.

'This will be a thorough and detailed piece of work and will be carried out in conjunction with parallel investigations by the Department of Health and other NHS trusts. Work is now under way and we expect our report will be ready towards the end of this year.
'As part of this work our panel will look at approaches from people who have contacted the Trust directly to share information on this extremely distressing subject.

'The panel will also examine in detail any information the police pass to us about incidents reported to them at Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital.'
During a press briefing this morning, Peter Saunders, from the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (Napac), said he was told that Lord Patten had turned down plans to set up a helpline for potential victims, as suggested by Mr Entwistle.

The BBC Trust issued a statement to say: “This is not an accurate account of events. The BBC worked with, and took advice from, both the NSPCC and Napac in the immediate aftermath of the Savile revelations.

'Initial discussions were held with both organisations around the need for a dedicated hotline for victims, which would have been run by NSPCC with the assistance of Napac.

'The chairman of the NSPCC told Lord Patten that he believed that there was no need for the BBC to establish a separate hotline as he was confident that they were fully able to deal with the volume of calls.

'Lord Patten never dismissed the idea. Although Napac would still have preferred to launch a new helpline, the BBC decided not to proceed following further discussions with both charities.'

Victims of the abuse hope the publication of the report with help close bring them justice.
Liz Dux, from Slater and Gordon Solicitors, who is representing many of the victims, told BBC News: 'Operation Yewtree has given them validity.

'For many of them they have been able to give their statement for the first time in circumstances where they have been dealt with sensitively and they have been believed.
'This has been a very cathartic process for them. Now that the report is out they hope that they can move on to the inquiries, hope that the inquiries are dealt with as swiftly as possible, and that the civil claims will be concluded and that they can get on with the rest of their lives.'

Wheelchair-bound victim Caroline Moore, 54, spoke of her shock today at the report's findings.

She was recovering from an operation on her spine in the children's ward at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, Bucks, in 1971, when Savile kissed in a corridor.

The schoolgirl, just 13 at the time, was left shaken by the assault but said she was too scared to tell the authorities.

She said: 'I'm absolutely shocked that it has been going on for this long and that there are so many victims.

‘It's scary that so many people knew and yet said nothing. There are still so many unanswered questions. I can't believe that he was allowed into the places that he was.

‘The authorities need to get their act together and make sure nothing like this can happen in the future.

‘A lot of people should be ashamed of themselves.’

Another victim, Kevin Cook who was abused by the TV host aged nine when he visited the BBC for Jim’ll Fix It said of today’s report: ‘I'm shocked by the amount and the time it's gone on and the amount that's gone on. I'm lost for words.’

And Sylvia Edwards, who said she was assaulted by Savile as he presented Top of the Pops in the 1970s, when she was 18, told the broadcaster: ‘I'm glad that it's all coming out because people knew about it and they just didn't do anything. I'm glad that a lot more people have come forward.’

The investigation into Savile's abuse - Operation Yewtree - has been separated into three strands: allegations involving Savile, those involving Savile and others, and those involving others.
So far detectives working on the inquiry have questioned ten people, including comedians Jim Davidson and Freddie Starr, DJ Dave Lee Travis and PR guru Max Clifford. They all deny any wrongdoing.
BRITAIN'S 'PREDATORY' PAEDOPHILE: HOW THE SAVILE SCANDAL UNFOLDED
October 29 2011: Veteran DJ and broadcaster Jimmy Savile is found dead in his home in Roundhay, Leeds, aged 84. His death came after a spell of pneumonia.
December 2011: BBC drops Newsnight investigation into his years of sex attacks.

September 30 2012: It emerges that allegations about Savile will be made in a new ITV documentary, due to be aired on October 3.

October 1: Surrey Police confirms Savile was interviewed in 2007 over allegations dating back to the 1970s but was released without charge.

October 2: Jersey and Surrey police both investigated accusations about alleged abuse in two children’s homes, but decided there was not enough evidence to proceed.
October 7: Prime Minister David Cameron calls for the 'truly shocking' allegations to be fully investigated.

October 9: Scotland Yard reveals they are looking at 120 lines of inquiry and as many as 25 victims and launches Operation Yewtree

October 11: Allegations emerge that Savile abused children at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire and Leeds General Hospital.

October 12: Then BBC director general George Entwistle offers a 'profound and heartfelt apology' to alleged victims as he announces two inquiries - one into potential failings over the handling of the abandoned Newsnight investigation, and a second into the 'culture and practices of the BBC during the years Savile worked here'.

October 19: Scotland Yard announces that Operation Yewtree, the inquiry into alleged child abuse by Savile, is now a formal criminal investigation involving other living people.

October 25: Scotland Yard says it is investigating in excess of 400 lines of inquiry involving 300 victims, of whom all except two are women. Commander Peter Spindler says Savile is one of the most prolific sex offenders in recent history and the inquiry into his abuse will be a “watershed” investigation into sex crime.

October 26: It emerges that seven alleged victims of Savile made complaints to four separate police forces - Surrey, London, Sussex and Jersey - while the disgraced television presenter was alive, but it was decided no further action should be taken.

October 28: Former pop star Gary Glitter is arrested by officers working on Operation Yewtree.
November 1: Comedian Freddie Starr is arrested in connection with the Savile abuse investigation. He is released on bail.

November 11: Former BBC producer Wilfred De’ath is arrested at an address in Cambridge but later insists he was the victim of mistaken identity. BBC director general George Entwistle resigns.

November 15: Former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis is arrested on suspicion of sexual offences. Police say the allegations do not directly involve Savile, and are classed under the strand of their investigation termed 'others'.

November 29: A man in his 80s, from Berkshire, is arrested and questioned by detectives investigating the Savile abuse scandal after attending police premises in south London by appointment.

December 6: PR guru Max Clifford is arrested at his Surrey home on suspicion of sexual offences

December 10: A man in his 60s, from London, is arrested on suspicion of sexual offences

December 19: Former BBC radio producer Ted Beston, 76, is arrested in London on suspicion of sexual offences and vehemently denies the allegations the following day.

January 2 2013: Former TV presenter Jim Davidson is arrested but 'vigorously denies' allegations of sexual offences made against him by two women. A 53-year-old man is also arrested.

A guest house where paedo VIPs are feared to have abused vulnerable underage boys for years is being probed by cops
A ring of rich and powerful people are said to have used it as a sordid playhouse – and were allegedly snapped and videoed with kids lured from a children’s home. One boy has alleged he was tied up, forced to perform a sex act and made to watch men having sex. A politician, top cop, judge, bishop and household names off the radio and TV are among those said to have been part of the ring between 1979 and 1982.
At these parties , young boys , specially brought over from several childrens homes would be plied with drugs and alcohol.

There is no more ordinary-looking row of suburban Edwardian houses in the country than Rocks Lane, south-west London. But nowhere has given rise to such an outlandish series of allegations than the one formerly known as Elm Guest House. The claims are now being re-investigated by the Metropolitan Police, decades after they were first made. Attempts have been made by care workers to lay bare the secrets of Rocks Lane but to no avail. Whatever the outcome of their investigations in the past, the police seem convinced that a number of serious wrongs need to be righted.
Operation Fairbank
Operation Fairbank is a police investigation into alleged sexual abuse, predominantly the abuse of children, by British politicians in the 1980s. The investigation, led by the Metropolitan Police Service, started in late 2012. The investigation is currently a “scoping exercise” aimed at a “preliminary assessment of the evidence rather than a formal inquiry”. The existence of the operation was confirmed on 12 December 2012, after operating in secret for several weeks. Five officers are currently working on the inquiry
Claims by Tom Watson MP
Operation Fairbank was set up following claims by Labour Party politician Tom Watson in the House of Commons that the police should look afresh at claims of a “powerful paedophile network linked to Parliament and No 10″. Watson raised the issue at Prime Minister’s Questions on 24 October 2012. He suggested that such a network may have existed in the past at a high level, protected by connections to Parliament and involving a close aide to a former Prime Minister; neither the aide nor the former Prime Minister were named. Watson referred to Peter Righton, a former consultant to the National Children’s Bureau, who was convicted of importing and possessing illegal homosexual pornographic material in 1992. Watson said that files on Peter Righton contained “clear intelligence of a widespread paedophile ring…One of its members boasts of a link to a senior aide of a former Prime Minister, who says he could smuggle indecent images of children from abroad.”
Reported scope of investigation
The investigation was first set up under conditions of secrecy. The Independent reported that it focused on claims of sexual abuse and the grooming of children, involving parties for gay men at the former Elm Guest House in Rocks Lane, close to Barnes Common in south west London, during the late 1970s.
The guest house was run and managed by Carole Kasir between 1979-1982, who died in 1990 at the age of 47. A party was raided by the police in 1982, following which 12 boys gave evidence that they had been abused by men at the house. Kasir was convicted of the charge of running a disorderly house, but allegations of abuse against children, and a subsequent reported investigation in 2003, were apparently not pursued. Two friends of Kasir gave astonishing evidence to the inquest of her death about alleged sexual abuse of children at the guest house
A guesthouse where 30 years ago the rich and powerful are feared to have abused young boys is under police scrutiny again

Rocks Lane is a conspiracy theorist’s dream, taking in allegations of the grooming of young boys in care for sex, elaborate gay parties involving senior public figures including members of the Conservative Party, charges of a police cover-up and even the suggestion of murder. The police believe that in the context of the Jimmy Savile scandal and renewed claims over the treatment of boys in care in North Wales, there is every reason to look again at an extremely murky saga.
What is known is that in the late 1970s, the Elm Guest House on Rocks Lane was a safe, unthreatening meeting place for homosexual men free from the stigma of a sexual orientation legalised barely a decade earlier. According to a former friend of Carole Kasir, the guest house’s German-born manager, she initially regarded herself as offering gay men an opportunity to “be themselves” without fear. Rocks Lane, which overlooks a playing field, was known to homosexual men as it is close to Barnes Common, itself popular with gay men for cruising.
But Elm Guest House’s willingness to accommodate a small industry (“It became a convenient place for rent boys to take their clients,” says one person familiar with the place), began to attract the attentions of the local police force. One neighbour remembers a months-long police stakeout: “They were there all the time. Police hiding behind the trees to look at the property was a running joke with the neighbours.”
In 1982, the police learned that one of the guest house’s parties was to take place, and the Met’s notorious Special Patrol Group, the precursor of the Territorial Support Group, duly raided the property, resulting in a number of charges being brought against Kasir. The fact that two police officers were in the house at the time of the raid has fed the speculation. The IoS has established that, according to an officer closely involved at the time, two officers were embedded as guests in the property for two or three days, one even pretending to have a broken arm, hiding a police radio in a plaster cast to make secret recordings. If there was a cover-up, it appears not to have involved the local police force, who seem to have been assiduous in seeking to have the place closed down.
As many as 12 boys gave evidence to the police to the effect that they had been abused by men at the house, The IoS has established, but the only conviction was the comparatively minor one of running a disorderly house (ie, a brothel). “Abused boys do not always make the most impressive of witnesses once they get into the witness box,” someone involved in the case said. “The real unlawful activity was underage sex. The police should have been able to make the other charges stick, but the boys were only ever interviewed with a view to them being witnesses against Carole, not as kids who were abused themselves.”
The place continued to attract speculation. Who was at that party has never been established, but as time went on, more and more allegations began to emerge about Rocks Lane. The local police paved the way for the raid, but at some stage Special Branch felt the need to get involved. Why was that, some have asked, unless there was something even murkier going on? Child-protection campaigners alleged that boys had been taken from a local council-run home and abused, a line of investigation that police are now pursuing.
What makes the Rocks Lane story so tantalising for the media is the list of alleged attendees at the parties. One source suggested that Anthony Blunt, former keeper of the Queen’s pictures and an exposed Soviet mole, used to go the parties, but then Blunt’s notoriety made him a magnet for any number of fanciful theories. Those who knew him say the idea is absurd, and that his sexual tastes were far more conventional. Others have spoken of two High Court judges and a Foreign Office official attending. Chris Fay, a social worker who worked for a small charity, the National Association for Young People in Care (Naypic), has alleged that a terrified Kasir had shown him about 20 photographs of middle-aged men with young boys, taken at what he said were kings and queens fancy-dress parties, attended by a number of powerful and well-known people. One, Mr Fay alleged, featured a well-known public figure wearing nothing but a French maid’s apron alongside a young boy nude apart from a tiara.
In 1990, at the age of 47, Kasir was found dead in her flat. The coroner’s inquest concluded that, a diabetic, she had suffered an insulin overdose. Two Naypic employees told the coroner they believed that because she seemingly had not had an insulin injection for three days, she had been murdered, the victim of powerful people who feared she knew too much. Nonetheless, she was found to have committed suicide, worn down by an eight-year battle to have her son, who was taken into care after her conviction, returned to her.
The alleged presence of household names adds to the intrigue, but in a celeb-obsessed age, there is a danger that, should such names not materialise, Rocks Lane will be seen as “just another” child abuse case. Yet police sources fear that dozens of boys were either taken or on the run from care homes to be abused. By any standards, that should be a big story.

Quick thought about Saville-Israel connection...last few weeks saw some police activity in Israel, raiding "homes for retarded children" (private ones), and some pimps who employ minors etc. Appears that some of it may be related to Saville investigations yet no official statements about it in Israel or anything resembling that. I am wondering if anyone has any take on how things can warm up, relating to the "israeli wing" of the pedo rings. I thank Semper for bringing me the link which explains a lot (about Saville being a "zionist supporter" with protection from the Jewish community and ISrael, but how long and how wide can that web of protection cover and stay in tact ? obviously Israel will not be able to attack Iran now, so what and who is covering up in the UK for ISrael's face ?
I see a connection between the Saville (and other recent sex scandals) and the collapse of the "attack Iran" coalition, maybe its just me, so last comment can be discarded from my query about "who is covering up for Israel, in the Saville case ?"

From todays Sunday Express online.........

JIMMY SAVILE beat and raped a 12-year-old girl during a secret satanic ritual in a hospital.

The perverted star wore a hooded robe and mask as he abused the terrified victim in a candle-lit basement.

He also chanted “Hail Satan” in Latin as other paedophile devil worshippers joined in and assaulted the girl at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire. The attack, which happened in 1975, shines a sinister new light on the former DJ’s 54-year reign of terror.
