There's a prohibition on the board against accusing other members of intentionally spreading disinformation. DE contends that I and some others here are involved in some deep Internet role-playing fraud that includes the hoaxing of the deaths of Duncan and Blake. That's his foul play: they weren't murdered and they didn't commit suicide. They faked it, and RI's in on it. That's why he was banned.

With all due respect, I believe it was Theresa Duncan herself who kicked that off, Jeff.

No, Theresa was an admirer of Jeff's blog and he wrote about that and her after her death. Period.

DE accused Jeff and eiAe of being participants in a conspiracy/arg hoaxing of the deaths of Duncan/Blake and the subsequent mind games.

Yeah, I know what happened. It's just -- there's a nagging point that I've been wanting to make about all of this for a while now since Theresa and Jeremy's deaths, but I haven't been able to put two words together about it. That's probably a good thing.

And go fuck yourself, "Hammer of Los".

...?

You need anyone to nag you into putting the words together?

This isn't the first time bz has left and come back. Since he's leaving again, may I ask if the writers' strike is settled?

In fact this kind of devisive split is exactly what the cointelpro ops aim for.

Perhaps it would be useful to talk about it in those terms.

I've recently been involved in something that took a lot of time away from my family and everything else I care about. It may have involved a long-term prank/mindfuck, in which case I might have egg on my face, for taking it as seriously as I did.

On the other hand, if I'm right, it may eventually lead to jail time for someone, and major embarassment for people who I know and have in the past respected, who blew this off as a joke. If I'm right, it's possible that innocent people got terribly hurt in the past from this.

So while I question whether it was wise for Dreamsend to get further involved in this, I can see why he might, and I can see how easy it is to fall down the rabbithole and have all the ground you thought was firm turn out to be shaky upon examination. I've had some experience with people playing convoluted death and identity games (not ARGs, more psychopath territory). Nasty sons of bitches. It really looks different from the outside when you haven't got all the information and can't understand how the patterns play out.

So I'm sitting on the not-so-judgemental part of the fence here.

yeah - saw some rather nasty twists w/ fake deaths/identities
on the original gnn site & the horrendous mindfucking power
therein
personally I cut DE some slack simply cuz I've seen how
easy it is to mistake this for that

I could never decide if DE was an amiably obtuse blowhard or a cunning disinformationalist, either way he was the biggest pusher of unevidenced 'allpowerful TPTB' myths around. I miss him only cos he was so obvious.

Yep. Divisive. Mean. Negative.

Hey, Jeff's only pessimistic, not negative! But to read his blog you'd think he suffers from depression. (Hi Jeff  )
