Funny thing searcher08, in the real world I only got in a fight one time in my life. I was the skinny wimp in high school and a big wrestler kid thought it might be entertaining to pick a fight with me. It was over by mutual consent in about five seconds, with eight punches to the fellows face. Not long after another school yard bully thought I should be tested again. I merely walked toward him with intent and was met with profuse apologies before I got to him. The same thing happened the next year at a new school. So I discovered that bullies don’t really want to fight if they fear they may actually get hurt. Since then I have observed that people do not mess with you if they think that you may be ‘crazy’. While I am not crazy, I do not mind at all if people might think I am.
I like to and do get along well with a wide variety of people despite the somewhat overstated outspokenness of my daily engagements. This board will be a better place if we can engage with each other more and talk around each other a bit less. Anyway that’s what I’m trying to do and if I have to open up a can of woop-ass, so that we may get more discussion going, (even though that is not my style), -well at least it will be worth the try.
And thanks again to Ben D for his sig line.
And thanks also to 10:10 people for jumping the shark, this was even better than hopenhagen.
Joe, I don’t
know as I reside far away from your domicile, but this was in the Sydney paper recently.
http://www.smh.com.au/environment/weath ... 15yjh.htmlWhile I do not normally talk about the weather, (to buttress any case there may be in regard to AGW) because weather is not the same as climate, I did look for snow fall reports and find lots of snow. There has also been very cold weather in South America recently with large fish kills in supposed tropical areas including people dying because they are not used to or prepared for this kind of cold.
http://www.snow-forecast.com/pages/tips_fullBut please don’t oblige me to do a copynpaste search to buttress this impression. Thing is, temps change and if its hot now it will be colder later and vice versa. Life is fragile and greatly at the mercy of nature. I can only be amazed at the mercy that nature does show toward us given the amount of abuse we heap on her.
