Here we go.

Radical Left-Wing & Registered Democrat, Obama Supporter, Occupy Black Bloc Member James E. Holmes Shoots Up Aurora Co Movie Theater:

By Marc Chamot & Sources: Net

White Punk Targeted U.S. Military Service members:

The false stigmas of right-wing Tea Party radicals, once again being shattered in Aurora Colorado.

A radical far Left-Wing and Registered Democrat and avid Obama Supporter, “Occupy Black Bloc Member James E. Holmes Shoots Up Aurora Co Movie Theater Killing 12 And Wounding 50.
A lone gunman dressed in riot gear and wearing a gas mask burst into a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., at a midnight showing of the Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” and opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring at least 50.

The suspect, James E. Holmes, 24, of Aurora, was caught by police in the parking lot of the Century 16 Movie Theaters, nine miles outside Denver, after police began receiving dozens of 911 calls at 12:39 a.m. MT. Police said the man appeared to have acted alone.

Witnesses in the movie theater said Holmes crashed into the auditorium through an emergency exit about 30 minutes into the film, set off a smoke bomb, and began shooting. Holmes stalked the aisles of the theater, shooting at random, as panicked movie-watchers in the packed auditorium tried to escape, witnesses said.

I would first look at the possibility that James Holmes, DOB 12/13/1987, was caught up in the OWS movement took it upon himself to strike back against “THE MAN.

“Who is the Black Bloc?

The black block is a self-styled anarchist tactic. It is not an identifiable organization. It is a method of creating violence and chaos in the streets. They desire to be an effective street-fighting force to oppose the police. They think they're being bold revolutionaries, when in actuality, they're cowards hiding behind masks, wearing a terrifying uniform.

That uniform is generally all black clothing, and they often carry dowel rods to which black flags have been affixed.

They start fights with the police, they destroy property, they attack other occupiers, and they give the police an excuse to attack us.

What do groups that use black block tactics believe?

One of the organizations which has typically used black block tactics is a group called anti-racist action. They're a street fighting organization that goes after Nazis and other white nationalist/seperatist groups. They also attack the police and vandalize buildings. To quote them on their own website about Occupy and their tactics and beliefs:

1)"this is not about partisan politics, this is about class solidarity among the 99%" - Not sure we're down with this 99% thing, as it seems to imply a broad class front that includes everyone but the richest of the rich.

There are plenty of people left out of the category of the super-rich that I don't want solidarity with, like fascists, white nationalists, police/FBI, politicians, Stalinists, the bourgeoisie and some of the petty bourgeoisie that make up the bosses and landlords that we have so many problems with, etc.
This, by the way, is the logic used by some to justify the Black Bloc's attack on the mission district of San Francisco.

These members of the 99% have slightly more than other members of the 99% and thus, they deserve to have their Toyota minivans destroyed, their small business shop fronts smashed, and their neighborhood vandalized. This is the thinking of the black block, and the various groups that support them.”

Florida Private Investigator Blames Occupy Anarchist For Batman Killings Posted by Jose Lambiet on Jul 20, 2012 in Broward, Miami, Palm Beach | 4 comments
Didn’t take long for politics to materialize in Colorado’s Batman killings.

The likes of ABC’s Brian Ross were quick to point out that alleged killer James Holmes is a member of the Colorado Tea Party. Wrong Holmes, by the way, and that story’s been retracted!

Then came Conservative radio talker Laura Ingraham. She gave ample air time this morning to a Florida private investigator who claims the theater shooting bears the fingerprints of left-wing terrorism.

Left wing terror?

Sarasota private investigator Bill Warner told Ingraham that suspect Holmes fits the profile “to a t” of a member of the Black Bloc – a little known group of violent, black-clad and gas mask-wearing anarchists who piggy-back on the non-violent Occupy movement during anti-Wall Street protests.

“I guess Laura saw my work on this matter and called me to be on the air,” said Warner, who works on insurance fraud and cheating spouses by day. “There’s no public information available on James Holmes anywhere. No car, no credit card, no nothing. I checked. Black Bloc members use cash and don’t buy cars so that they can go underground.

“(Holmes’) age, the black clothes and gas mask he was wearing, the facts he is white and underground, the facts he is a drifter prone to over-the-top violence, it all fits. Batman features an Occupy-type bad guy and this nut job may have taken it personally.”

One federal investigator told CBS this morning that Holmes indeed remained “under the radar.” He dropped out of medical school recently.

Authorities are still trying to disarm elaborate booby traps left in Holmes apartment.

Early this morning, Holmes allegedly materialized inside a theater at Aurora’s Century 16 during the movie and methodically shot viewers. So far, twelve are dead and 38 injured. Holmes was arrested shortly thereafter.

Warner has no evidence tying Holmes to Occupy but says he’s been studying the Black Bloc for long enough to know

“My interest in this came when the Black Bloc first appeared in Sarasota,” Warner said. “I found that the group included convicted felons and drug dealers. Within hours, I was getting all kinds of emails about Occupy and these Black Bloc people.”

Warner said he expects the group to be involved in violence at the Republican National Convention in August in Tampa.

In May, five members of the group was arrested in Cleveland as they planned to bomb a bridge.

Ingraham has yet to reply to an email request comment about Warner’s segment.

Yippee!!

After months & months of endlessly banal posts about nothing of consequence, the RI forum crew receive another mass slaughter gift from the Gods.

Hey, if y'all are lucky, there's a few serial killers in the neighborhood too.

That should help y'all rub one out later...

After y'all have a good cry, that is...

How does that RI forum anthem for pseudo hand wringers & crocodile tear sprayers go again?

Oh yeah!

Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor it happens to be

Like:
"Killed by the husband" ...
"Drowned by the ocean" ...
"Shot by his own son" ...
"She used a poison in his tea,
Then (she) kissed him goodbye"
That's my kind of story
It's no fun til someone dies.

Don't look at me like I am a monster
Frown out your one face, but with the other (you)
Stare like a junkie into the TV
Stare like a zombie while the mother holds her child,
Watches him die,
Hands to the sky cryin "why, oh why?"

Cause I need to watch things die from a distance
Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies
You all need it too - don't lie.

Why can't we just admit it?
Why can't we just admit it?
We won't give pause until the blood is flowin'
Neither the brave nor bold
Nor brightest of stories told
We won't give pause until the blood is flowin'
Well Robert Moore went down heavy
With a crash upon the floor
And over to his thrashin' body
Betty Coltrane she did crawl.
She put the gun to the back of his head
And pulled the trigger once more
And blew his brains out
All over the table.

Hey mulebone, as a poster who's posted what I feel are great subjects for the past year or so, I resent that 'banal, nothing of consequence' comment. A few other posters contribute too....and I'm a big fan of Tool too, btw...

So I'm posting this here for Luther (yes, came across those agenda driven articles), but lots of threads are intertwining, so crosspost I will too...

Batman Invades Occupy Wall Street
Robert Brenner

The "Occupy" movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. "Occupy" is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America. -- Frank Miller, author of The Dark Knight Returns.

Hello. I'm billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, a member in good standing of the one percent. I earned my money the old fashioned way -- I inherited it. You may know me better by my alter ego, the Dark Knight, a.k.a. Batman.

Usually, I'm busy fighting bad guys like the Riddler or the Penguin. Recently, though, I've uncovered the biggest threat to Gotham City since the Joker discovered laughing gas. A gang of scofflaws calling themselves Occupy Wall Street took over Zuccotti Park in the financial district and turned it into their lair.

At first I thought that this was a job for the NYPD. I don't usually soil my batgloves with garden-variety criminals. But then when they held the park for two months, I knew something was up. They don't call me "the world's greatest detective" for nothing.

So I disguised myself as an anarchist and infiltrated the park. I wore black pants, a black hoody, and a black stocking mask -- come to think of it, not that different from my regular crime-fighting gear.

What I saw sickened me. The park was filled with laid-off workers, evicted home owners, debt-ridden students, pension-robbed retirees, and veterans who had returned from some war or the other to the worst recession since the Great Depression -- the scum of the Earth.

I knew I had to do something. That night in my civilian identity, I dined with Mayor Mike Bloomberg. Over steak, lobster, and champagne, we discussed the crisis. He was on the fence about Occupy Wall Street: on the one hand, he didn't like the rabble any better than I did; on the other hand, he still had some quaint beliefs about First Amendment rights.

I quickly set him straight, "If we don't stop them here, it will turn into anarchy -- or worse. I saw the signs saying 'Eat The Rich' -- they're a bunch of cannibals, just like Killer Croc. Stern measures are called for to protect health and public safety. Pass the caviar."

The mayor agreed, and the next morning called for a surprise dawn raid to retake the park.

The operation was not without casualties. Robin stopped speaking to me. Being an orphaned carny, he has some naive notions about meritocracies versus plutocracies. "Listen, Robin," I tried to explain to him, "we live in a great country where anyone can grow up to be adopted by a billionaire." He left me for those young punks, the Teen Titans.

Catwoman stopped sleeping with me. Being an international jewel thief, she has some funny ideas about redistributing the wealth. "Listen, sweetheart," I remonstrated with her, "you're Catwoman, not Robin Hood. Leave the altruism stuff to Green Arrow." She left me for that dyke, Wonder Woman.

Even my loyal butler stopped butlering me. "Listen, Alfred, if you don't like the way I run things around here, you can just collect your pink slip and go. What do I need a butler for, anyway? I've got Siri." He left me for some outfit called AdBusters. Never heard of 'em.

It may surprise some of you to find out I'm such a fierce defender of the status quo. It shouldn't. When was the last time you saw me apprehend the CEO of an investment bank for securities fraud? I'm on the board of directors of half of these corporations, and I'm not a class traitor like Warren Buffet. I leave fighting evil business tycoons like Lex Luthor to boy scouts like Superman. (By the way, Lex baby, see you at the yacht races next week.)

There's a secret war going on. It's not occurring in another dimension, a parallel universe, or on Earth Two. It's happening right here in plain sight in the good ol' US of A -- provided you have the eyes to see the growing gap between the haves and the have-nots.

I intend to be on the winning side. Hey, all those batmobiles, batcycles, batcopters, batboats, etc., cost money. If income were distributed more equitably, I would have to give up some of my toys. And I will never give up any of my toys. Never, never, never, never.

It's not like I haven't made sacrifices. My parents were murdered by gangsters. Bane broke my back. (I've recovered nicely, though, thanks to access to the finest healthcare money can buy.) With Robin, Catwoman, and Alfred gone, there is no one to attend to my physical needs. It turns out that Siri can't give sponge baths.

But I will win. Because I control the money. Which means I control the politicians. Which means I control the laws. Which mean I decide who the good guys and the bad guys are. And, as you know, the good guys always win. To quote my otherwise arch-nemesis Ra's al Ghul, "And nothing can stop me now! Bwha-hah-hah-hah!"

Wait! What's that rumbling sound, like somebody losing control and turning into an enormous green rage monster?

"AARGH! HULK SMASH SELFISH BATMAN! 99% GOOD! 1% BAD!"

Uh-oh.

Interestingly enough, the villain in this new Dark Knight Rises bus ad is flanked by what looks like an army of contemporary protestors, while Batman is flanked by riot cops. Either way, I'm worried about what the general takeaway is going to be in this final chapter of the Dark Knight films. That last installment was such a cultural phenomenon, and the veritable snuffing of Heath Ledger affected a lot of people in a profound way.

Popular video game reveals villain as “leader of the 99%” in new trailerBy J.G Vibes

Less than a year ago I wrote an article about pro war propaganda in video games which was sadly one of my most controversial articles for that whole month, despite the fact that I covered some very important topics during that time. Even if you doubted that the popular wartime first person shooters were propaganda before, you are going to have a hard time not being suspicious after hearing that the villain in the newest “Call of Duty” videogame is described as the “leader of the 99%”.

It has become blatantly clear that a political message is being sent by the ruling class to the rest of us using these video games and other media. I’m not saying that there is something wrong with video games, we all need time to relax every now and then and if that’s how you decide to do it that is great. However, this specific series and others like it that glorify war and demonize activists are highly suspect and can now quite confidently be identified as outright propaganda.

Just this week a gaming website even compared the the villain to Julian Assange saying “The game’s main villain is Raul Menendez, described as the “idolized Messiah of the 99%”—a Julian Assange-like character who’s old, experienced, and hell bent on starting a global insurrection against the status quo. He hands Sgt. Frank Woods, the protagonist of the first game, a necklace at the end of the trailer which symbolizes a connection between the two characters.” You can take a look at the trailer for yourself below:

Even if you don’t believe the subliminal and chemical implications of surrounding yourself with this media as I discussed in my article last year, you must at least admit that this storyline is crafted from the perspective of the ruling class, where activists should be shot at with elaborate weapons and it is noble to fight for the aristocracy. It is possible that this is the result of the ruling class controlling the media, or maybe it can just be chalked up to the mainstream political narrative being so deeply entrenched in the minds of the programmers, although I highly doubt it’s that simple.

Regardless of the cause, we should take this as another example where mainstream art and culture reflects the desires of the ruling class. This is extremely dangerous because art and media has such a profound impact on the minds of those who come in contact with it. In so many ways our opinions and outlooks are formed and manipulated by the information that we consume, especially if one has not trained themselves to think critically. Luckily this kind of propaganda is highly ineffective if you are aware of it and are able to critically assess what your being exposed to.

Michael Bloomberg: After Colorado shooting, soothing words not enough

By KEVIN ROBILLARD | 7/20/12 8:43 AM EDT Updated: 7/20/12 12:43 PM EDT

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, one of the nation’s highest-profile supporters of gun control, said Friday that “soothing words are nice ” but demanded that the presidential candidates “stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about” preventing mass shootings.

Asked about the shootings at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater showing “The Dark Knight Rises” that killed at least 12 people, Bloomberg said President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney need to offer specific policy proposals, in addition to prayers and sympathy.

“Soothing words are nice,” Bloomberg said during a regularly scheduled appearance on WOR 710 AM in New York. “But maybe it’s time the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country. And everybody always says, ‘Isn’t it tragic?’”

“I mean, there’s so many murders with guns every day,” Bloomberg continued. “It’s just gotta stop. And instead of these two people, President [Barack] Obama and Governor [Mitt] Romney talking in broad things about, they want to make the world a better place. OK, tell us how. And this is a problem. No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?”

Bloomberg went on to suggest most of the nation’s governors should also make their stances clear, and said the problem wasn’t limited to major cities like New York.

“This is killing people every day,” he said. “And it’s growing. And it’s not just an inner city, East Coast, West Coast, big city phenomenon. Aurora is not a big city, it’s a suburb of Denver. … The murder rate in the rural areas is as just as bad, if not worse than the murder rate in the urban areas.”

But while the problem is nation-wide, he also said it was uniquely American.

“I don’t think there’s any other developed country in the world that has remotely the problem we have,” Bloomberg said. “There’s no other place that allows — we have more guns than people in this country. Every place else, if there are murders, they’re generally not done with guns.”

Bloomberg, a political independent who is being courted by both the Romney and Obama presidential campaigns and frequently endorses in gubernatorial and senatorial contests, said “national leadership” was needed to solve the problem.

“There’s something more important than getting re-elected,” he said. “And that’s standing up and saying what you think is right.”

A 24-year-old man, James Holmes, has been taken into custody as a suspect in the murders.

Creepy coincidence:

http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/20/showbiz/m ... ?hpt=hp_t1

A full-page newspaper ad heralding the opening weekend contains a pull quote from Marlow Stern, assistant culture editor of Newsweek, which says, "A monumental conclusion to the epic trilogy. Audiences will be blown away."

Warner Bros. pulled the trailer for the film "Gangster Squad," which had been running before showings of "The Dark Knight Rises." That film trailer features scenes of men armed with machine guns attacking a movie theater.

From Roger Ebert's opinion piece in the NYT:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/21/opini ... re.html?hp

Immediately after a shooting last month in the food court of the Eaton Centre mall in Toronto, a young woman named Jessica Ghawi posted a blog entry. Three minutes before a gunman opened fire, she had been seated at the exact place he fired from.

“I was shown how fragile life was,” she wrote. “I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath.”

This same woman was one of the fatalities at the midnight screening in Aurora. The circle of madness is closing.

Aurora Makes Forbes Top 10 Safest Cities in US List

Congratulations, Aurora, for making Forbe’s Magazine’s America’s Top 10 Safest Cities List for 2011! Yay! What a distinguished honor! And what peace of mind, right? Here are some of the details from the article at forbes.com:
Car fatality rank: 18
Violent crime rank: 12
So what makes these metropolises oases of relative tranquility? Wealth is one key factor.
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

The circle of madness is closing.

It's looking more and more like it's called E and C 470.

State Highway 470 (C-470, SH 470) is the southwestern portion of the Denver Metro area's beltway. Originally planned as Interstate 470 in the 1960s, the beltway project was attacked on environmental impact grounds and the interstate beltway was never built. The portion of "Interstate 470" that was built as a state highway is the present-day SH 470, which is a freeway for its entire length.

We should probably rename this thread to reflect the changing numbers of casualties and such, no? Just like Aurora CO Theater Massacre or something. . .

Cos now it's being reported as 12 dead and 71 injured. Know what I'm saying? Just for "archival" purposes and such.

Hey, if y'all are lucky, there's a few serial killers in the neighborhood too.

How does that RI forum anthem for pseudo hand wringers & crocodile tear sprayers go again?

Disgusting. You should be ashamed.

A suggestion:
1. Go and read any account of the shooting.
2. Close your eyes and imagine any of the victims as someone you care about.
3. Come back and read what you posted.
