Firefox makes it easy to change the language I'd for editing, but MS Office programmes don't... I mean it's not hard but it's less intuitive than it could be. And the autocorrect list is harder to edit than it should be. It's happened a few times that I write an email in Outlook in Afrikaans with the phrase "weet wat" ("know what"), and end up sending an email containing the subliminal insult "wee twat". Not ideal. iPads are worse, it autocorrects everything and the little cross you have to put your finger on to tell it you wrote what you meant to write is a tenth of the size of a newborn child's pinky.

Has anyone used the web-based program called 'Ginger' for both desktop and web spelling and grammar-checking? It seemed very powerful (mean to replace the built-in Office spellcheck). However when I noticed that it was many dozens of MB in size and was Israeli miltech sourced, I removed it. My apologies for the poor grammir wot I haz know.

One of the characters I roll with, who lives south of me in Candida (yes where he lives is further south than Seattle), we like roleing with misspecllings because it makes a point. For some reason, RI is the only site that doesn't auto-correct for me. I haven't been abel to figure out why.

Thus, conspiracy.

It's just noteable insofar as where and how it happens. Yet, I absolutely hate auto correct. It is going to spell the death of all humanity and only the birds will remain in order to become dinosaurs again. Then we'll re-become rodents that survived the comet impact and eventually evolve into humans or primates or whatever. Then we'll do it again? The spans of time and the scaling of knowable language is totally tiny.

Recently I have been trying to figure out, just through personal imagination how birds don't all speak the same "language". I watch them for hours on end and yet for some reason they all sound different. I just wonder about that shit. Perhaps some kind of a cosmic spell-check?

Jesus. Now I'm off in a zone that will perplex me.

AD, I just want to make it clear before I start insulting you that I dont entirely hate you. A lot of your posts have been very interesting and have contributed to my own research, some people dont dig your one topic monomania but having someone around whos very knowledgeable on one specific topic can be useful.

The other day someone said something along the lines of "violence is a search for identity". Being opposed to things, like violence, is often very necessary. But to base your identity off of either of those things speaks to a kind of emptiness, a need to be validated. And more importantly, a lack of positive, constructive goals and ideals.

I have no idea what the fuck you actually believe in besides it being vaguely Anarchist, any attempts to understand what you believe have lead to you interrogating me for doubleplusbadwrongthoughts. I do however know very well the things you dont believe in, the things you oppose, the people you oppose. You maintain several threads dedicated to the things you hate, which you keep bumped for years at a time. You have a long list of badwrong persons, including me, who you consider to be pure evil and you go out of your way to shit on.

What do you get out of this? Establishing that you are NOT a secretbadwrongnazi? Im not giving you shit for the act itself, god knows I have several people I stay in contact with purely out of spite. What I dont understand is the sheer energy youve dedicated to it. What is the point?
