That's our Bernie, always tweeting the love.

He's inspired me, I'll reach across the aisle, too.

I respect Freitag. I think he may be the only real, actual right wing Donald supporter on this board. He totally knows where he stands politically. I can get along with that.

When I used to hang out on the liberal blogosphere in ancient times, there were a few paid wingers on the board I haunted. You could just tell, they were fakers. Working in shifts, delivering the talking points of the day. Their hearts just weren't in it.

But there was one real Republican. Retired guy from Missouri, liked to drive around the country with his wife in a mobile home. Called himself the War Dog. He and I always got along famously. We'd argue, sure, but there was always a joy to it. We loved to fight, you could see the smiles behind our words. We got a kick out of each other.

So here's to you, Freitag. I'd have a beer with ya.
Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

Bernie is a politician and a rare great one. Good for him.

Meanwhile, reality:

The central appeal of Trump rhetoric is to racism. Has been the whole way through. Mexican rapists, "inner cities" in flames, "urban youth," the whole world beating up on America, ban the Muslims. Classic racist rhetoric, largely a Nixon '68 remix without the dog-whistles, because he's using BULLHORNS. If you don't hear it, it's because you don't want to hear it.

There are those who engage in denial about this, basically because they don't see racism generally. This includes Trump voters as well as others. So yeah, not all Trump voters are motivated by their racism, at least consciously. Plenty are. More than enough are. And it's explicit.

Most Americans are racist in the American way (blacks as the basic target, with variety wrt to other people of color). Many racists are in denial about it. Anyway, one needs to distinguish between racist feeling (the standard definition, in which racism is always a deeply felt personal prejudice, and this is the definition that keeps the discussion stupid) as opposed to a racist system. We're in a racist system and that's what counts most.

Again, none of this means all Trump voters are consciously racist. But they are voting for the ideologically racist campaign, the one that says it out loud for all who care to hear. The one endorsed by the KKK!

Those who spend 150 pages on RI talking about it and still want to vote for him or make excuses for him may or may not be racist, but stupid self-deceiving MORON is what they definitely are.

Stupid does matter and it is powerful, unfortunately, or this election would be Stein at 60%, Clinton at 12% and Kayfabe Hitler at ZERO. Of course if stupid wasn't so powerful, we wouldn't be having an election under these moron rules in the first place.

And almost the whole fucking world is sexist, period. Women included.

Trump supporter, yes. Registered Independent. I'm not a typical conservative though; I'm socially liberal, drugs should be legalized, etc. Not sure what the right label is. Probably Libertarian. But I do find that as I get older and my net worth grows, I get more conservative.

So here's to you, Freitag. I'd have a beer with ya.

so you're ok with Trump getting away with child rape but.......

Are you ok with the tens of thousands of Libyan civilians Hillary Clinton mass murdered in 2011?

I can't feud with SLAD too much, I take it me and her have quite a lot in common with music. I guess I just side toward exposing both Trump and Clinton than this staunch blind pro Clinton terrain.

I find it humorous the conspiracy right has gone mad over this allegation Clintons campaign manager John Podesta is some secret devil worshipper.

What I DO FIND disturbing is Wikileaks has proven he colluded with the DNC to cheat Bernie Sanders. To me thats what every self respecting liberal should be talking about.

That was an interesting vid of Trump freitag. I don't think I have ever seen anyone anywhere near a political arena that is that consistent in their mindset. He was saying the the same thing about economics and business decades ago in that vid that he is saying today almost to the letter. He isn't waffling around. Its obvious he wasn't considering running for president either in his interview with Oprah. A stark contrast to the semantic games we hear all day long in the political arena today.

I'm really open to reading a clarification. Seriously, let me know I'm wrong. I really, really don't want to see it like that.

I think it's pretty obvious I was exaggerating for comedic effect. What I really wanted to put across was that a lot of the back-and-forth about Epstein, particularly in relation to this latest whipped up witch-hunt, would have you believe that he's part of a Satanic cult that rips newborns from the womb and then pops them into his mouth like chocolate bon-bons, cackling all the while. That is not what he did. He used his money and influence to have lots and lots of sex with MODELS, some of whom happen to have been underage. They were not pre-pubescent. Pardon me if I'm not clutching a hankie to my throat at the thought of a grown man being sexually attracted to PROFESSIONAL SEXY PEOPLE... people who are specifically selected, using increasingly cybernetic/scientific criteria, for maximum psycho-sexual stimulation on anybody who lays eyes on them. I hardly think he is an outlier, in terms of what he's attracted to.

For me, sexual attraction has more to do with chemistry, or maybe electricity, than physicality. Imagine that. I must be lucky to have a soul, or something. Maybe I'm that rare one percent of the human race? I somehow doubt I'm that unique.

I share your take on the topic, but then again, I have a very low libido. TMI, but whatever at this point.

Gosh jerky, thanks for the candor. I'm glad you admit that 13 year old girls can be sexy to you. This explains a lot about you.

Wombat, is this libelous mischaracterization of what I wrote acceptable?

And if it is - and Nordic isn't going to be given a few days off - how far can I go in rebuttal?

I don't want to not be able to post on election day, so I'm being careful.

Thanks in advance,

You really think Bernie Sanders is that naive, though?

...and which emails have you been reading?

Subject: Fwd: Sanders criticism

This isn't in keeping w the agreement. Since we clearly have some
leverage,
would be good to flag this for him. I could send a signal via
Welch--or did you establish a direct line w him?

now if you would please post one ounce of proof that Tony Podesta is a pedophile (remember Drudge doesn't count) and post it in the Pedophile thread...when does his trial start?

Trump has actually been indicted for child rape .......case starting Dec. 16 2016.....that's a fact

I do not like Donald Trump at all and I hope he takes an ass whippin' but when exactly was he INDICTED for child rape, that is huge news that I somehow missed. I know about a civil lawsuit taking place, that is not a criminal case however and there is no indictment by a grand jury that I am aware of, I wish that were true and maybe it is and I missed it?
