There's also this to consider, from British journalist Yvonne Ridley:

Here is the audio clip, which the Israelis titled “Radio Transmission from Mavi Marmara to Israeli Navy”.

ISRAELI SHIP: “This is the Israeli Navy, you are approaching an area which is under a naval blockade.”

MAN’S VOICE 1: “Shut up, go back to Auschwitz.”

WOMAN’S VOICE: “We have permission from the Gaza Port Authority to enter.”

MAN’S VOICE 2: “We’re helping Arabs go against the U.S., don’t forget 9/11 guy.”

If you want to listen for yourself, here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxY7Q7CvQPQ.

I immediately recognized the voice of the woman, it is that of Huwaida Arraf, a heroic Palestinian who co-founded the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) and is chair of the Free Gaza Movement.

We sailed together on the first Free Gaza Movement boat into Gaza in 2008 and her voice is very distinctive.

So yes, I can confirm that is Huwaida’s voice, but I can also confirm that Huwaida was on board Challenger 1, a much smaller passenger ship in the six-boat flotilla. She was NOT on board the Mavi Marmara.

Thanks Jeff, I am certainly willing to look in to this further given your link. I dont think it is impossible that it was a doctored tape but I will see what else I can find to support its authenticity.

This does seem even stranger though, why would someone who is pro-Gaza and against the blockade be heard on a tape saying such politically incorrect things?

Yeah, starving an entire population of people does have a tendency to provoke rage, even deep hate.

See this is what makes some of you look really silly, when you make comments like this that arent even remotely true it is really hard to take you seriously.

It is well documented and even the UN will admit that Israel delivers 10,000 tons of food water and supplies to the Gaza every week, that is hardly the act of one nation starving the people of another.

The blockade is not designed, in spite of what those on the far left and right want you to believe, to punish the people of the Gaza, it is specifically designed to keep arms from getting in to the hands of Hamas militants.

This whole drama queen act is not helpful at all and totally unproductive to this discussion. (Its not just you either, its most everyone involved in this who says such things, and they are simply wrong.)

The Palestinian people are SUFFERING under Israeli occupation and this INHUMAN blockade.

If they're angry, I can't blame them. I'd be surprised if they weren't.

I'm very grateful for the fact that this forum includes different perspectives and that it's not an echo chamber, but this---

it's RADIO - there's no proof MAN’S VOICE 1 or 2 originated from the flotilla. Seems far more likely to me it didn't.

Agreed and what's worse, what is the world at large doing sticking up for Hamas and their like. Well, a lot of them want to see Israel destroyed too. Even posters here have voiced that wish.

The last time Jews were in this spot no one stood with them. The world is shaping up to do the same thing again IMO.

Carter just had hamas backed very far away from the pledge of war, had there been any negotiations, any real willingness to pursue peace something could have been done. 17b... your willingness to think the worst of gentiles is exactly the thought process that traps Israel in needless war.

Yes I am sure they are suffering and they have an opportunity to end that suffering by simply not supporting Hamas at the ballot box. As long as they support Hamas Israel has no choice but to continue to embargo and blockade.

I could say the same for you, that your willingness to not take seriously threats to exterminate Jews is exactly the thought process that allowed the Holocaust. You may feel differently if your grandmother's last days were spent in a German death camp.

This has nothing to do with how I feel about gentiles it has more to do with me taking threats to extermine Jews more seriously than you and other gentiles do. And I can understand that, there was no attempt to exterminate your people so why should that be a concern that always haunts you?

When Hamas says they want to exterminate every Jew who lives in the region, I believe them and take them seriously and Israel should also. I am glad they do.

'The United States has had ample opportunity to change
its one-sided policy, which has resulted in continued
warfare, occupation, misery and death for Palestinians
and Israelis. Israel's occupation would not have been
possible without tens of billions in US military aid,
without dozens of UN vetoes cast by Washington, without
the State Department's back-room strong-arming of other
nations. It would not have been possible without the
dishonesty of a US media establishment that habitually
twists or simply refuses to report basic facts about
the Israel-Palestine conflict-and is often less
critical than the media in Israel. It would not have
been possible without the active collusion or cowardly
silence of the vast majority of the Democratic Party
and liberal policy establishment, which for too long
has bowed under the intimidation of AIPAC and other
right-wing Zionist organizations, including Christian
Evangelicals, all of which claim to defend Israel but
which in fact support the most retrograde forces in
Israeli society-elements that are leading Israel on a
path of self-destruction.'

That is precisely why we must take such threats, when Hamas makes them, to exterminate every Jewish person living in the region, seriously. The last time such a threat was made and everyone laughed it off as an impossible task, we lost 6 million of our people.

Never again.

The Holocaust PROVES what "Gentiles," as you call them are like at their worst. One would think that after that horror, antisemitism would have died; but, it didn't did it?

The fellow in Jeff's posts confirmed he knew who one of the voices were and that she was in fact part of the flotilla but not on the MV, the main ship that was boarded by the IDF.

My question is, why is such a known and respected lady making such hateful remarks against Jews?

Also, I think it is harder to ID someone from audio recording than this fellow makes it seem but he does in fact say he knows its her and that she WAS part of the flotilla.
