From the article you linked:

Antifa’s fascist violence will return on election night. That’s why it’s important to understand their fraudulence and fascism, and reject the politics of plutocrat-contrived violence. Perhaps strangely, Marxian analysis itself is best suited to communicate this point to the radical left.

Right. Election night was a real bloodbath, wasn't it? All them fascist antifas.

No matter what language it's couched in, the message is always the same. Soros and the illuminati are bankrolling the new world order shock troops. And everybody is fascist, except the fascists.
Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

"Watch what happens when The Electoral College speaks..."

How tantalizingly cryptic. Care to tell us what it means, griz?

edited to add: Oh, I see. You are predicting violence. Antifa fascists beating up innocent people all over America. At the behest of their paymasters, I presume.

The only group I see going berserk in the coming weeks and months is Trump supporters unable to come to terms their guy being resoundingly defeated. Not, of course, because the voters liked Biden to any great extent, but because Trump was more despicable by comparison to so many more people. And in a mirror of 4 years ago when the boot was on the other foot (though, unlike anything I've seen from this year, there actually was convincing evidence of outcome-reversing election fraud in 2016), the widespread narrative will be that Trump actually didn't lose but was sabotaged by a foreign conspiracy to steal the election, this time involving China, Venezuela, Cuba, and god knows who else.

Foreigners! Halp!

Postby JackRiddler » Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:41 am

.

There must be an overlap somewhere between those who have laughed off the last five years of Russians under the bed in informed detail, yet believe the American election was just fixed by Cubans, Venezuelans, and that one billionaire, the only one out of Earth's 2000 billionaires that counts. (Right, among other places you can find this at the intersection of Mark Crispin Miller and Cynthia McKinney, my sadly fallen idols of yore.)

But there must be a regional thing going on here too. There are places so overwhelmingly for Trump that even the idea that enough of a nationwide majority hates him for good reason and passionately enough to at least once give an election edge to a Biden seems outlandish.

The Democrats had the means to win in a landslide by offering anything other than variations on the same austerity and permanent exceptionalist talk, and a lot of fluff about representational identity politics that no one outside the bubbles of Neera Tanden and the Lincoln Project believes. They ran a losing strategy throughout, practically designed for a Trump landslide if not for Covid and the depression. Why are they going to steal an election they're trying so hard to lose?

The antifa panic is a postmodern Chicago 7 trial, well said throughlookingglass (below, I'm editing after you posted, oops).

"Antifa’s fascist violence will return on election night"

More violence has been caused by sports victories and defeats than by any member of Antifa. Its the Chicago 7 all over again. When the police use rubber bullets and tear gas its justified. Should any of the opposition, clearly protesting violent authority measures, fight back they're at fault. Horseshit.

God bless tyranny.

Good take.

The Trump team strategy, as already mentioned here in the prior page, seems to be nothing more than stirring his followers, or catering to their desire for a contest of the results. They've alluded strongly to fraud -- and may indeed be referencing legit electronic voting shenanigans -- but have offered no substance.
Theatrics, in other words.

You're right, though: if not for COVID, Biden's campaign had little chance. Which in turn explains some of the frustrations from the Trump base.

This is where we are in 2020. Two old white men. Likely rapists. Criminals. Profiteers.

American Empire, exposed. There appears to be less interest in 'masking' of agendas. 2020 has made this much quite clear.

I don't think hating Donald passionately, or even lesser-of-two-evilism was the deciding factor. In the end, he's a tabloid star, Murdoch made him. And people like to see tabloid stars fall. So Murdoch provides.

Also shouldn't underestimate how much Donald's wack-pack is disliked. Like a bunch of obnoxious Howard Stern-worshipping fanbboys. People will only tolerate so much of that.

I think that's just the inevitable outcome of the historical trend.

And here we are, right in the middle of it. A vicious circle whose circumference is nowhere.

Technocrats for a better dystopia. Because it's only going to get worse.

Why are you posting this?

A - It didn't happen.

B - The author cant even get the definition of Fascism (or fascism) right.

I think if they'd said "When fascism comes to the US it will be the year 2000 or thereabouts" then they may have had a point, but they are 20 years late and wrong about what happened. And they don't know what fascism means.

Yeah.

Also: When fascism comes to America it will be sometime around 1857, and it won't even be called fascism yet, and it will call itself Freedom.
