An example of a satisfying clarification would be an annotated list of the Instagram photos, with proof that the children depicted are alive, safe, and (preferably) related to Alefantis (or his friends/associates). That would actually satisfy me quite a bit. That girl restrained by masking tape maybe the child of somebody he knows. Why has that person not come forward to clear his name? It would be that simple...

If I were caught in this kind of shitstorm, I'd open up an Instagram account with additional photos that prove these children are fine, and this was all a misunderstood bad joke.

In one of the video clips Alefantis says that he is the "godfather" of the taped down little girl and the photo was taken out of context and the event was in play.

The idea that much of the brouhaha is a smoke screen makes sense to me, note "smoke screen" in that there is some substance among the vested elite. Alefantis and the Ping Pong Pizza may well be all smoke as Alefantis is not a power person in this calculus.

I thought interesting that Alefantis is the exe-bf of Brock.

The shut down of Reddit and all the other abrupt and signifcant clean up activity suggests to me that there is some substance. But I am prone to think that the various edgy but well-known artists like Alifantis are being used by others as smoke screens for their own actions and agenda.

Police in Norway have filed charges against 51 men suspected of involvement in a massive paedophile ring.

Authorities seized 150 terabytes (150,000 gigabytes) of data, including photos, videos and chat transcripts between members of various paedophile networks.

Known as ‘Dark Room’, the police operation revealed sexual assaults against children as young as babies, according to The Local.

“The material shows the abuse of children of all ages, including infants,” Hilde Reikrås, head of Operation Dark Room, said at a news conference.

“The material shows, among other things, the penetration of toddlers, children being tied up, children having sex with animals and children having sex with other children.”

All of the men arrested live in Norway, but police confirmed they were investigating one individual living abroad. It is considered one of the largest sexual abuse cases ever in the country.

Ms Reikrås said those detained had met each other on the dark net; an ungoverned space online where users can surf with more anonymity.

One of the men who was awaiting the birth of his child with his girlfriend discussed plans to sexually abuse the baby once it was born, police said.

Some of those detained had live-streamed abuse of their own children. Those arrested include two elected officials, one teacher and a lawyer.

Norwegian police reportedly began their investigation after a tip-off from the FBI.

The 51 facing charges can receive a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

Contrast the hysterical and hyperbolic tone against my simple observation that such a picture would likely constitute abuse (in at least a technical sense) sufficient to warrant a visit from CPS. CPS has been called in for less.

In Jerky's world, questioning the context around a restrained child is evidence of poor mental health sufficient to contact the authorities, while art depicting opisthotonic postures and/or hinting at pedophilia and abuse is merely "excellent taste" in art. OK.

There have been claims that the Reddit admins overruled the moderators of r/PG in approving intrusive (e.g. doxxing) posts that the mods had previously deleted, in order to justify a later application of the banhammer. At this point it can't be proven either way, but I mention it as a possibility. If true, one wonders why Reddit admins were so eager to get rid of the sub? Especially since their swift banning of the sub is almost unprecedented, compared to the protocols used in the past to ban other subs that were judged to be offensive.

As for the art, I guess you like the picture in John Podesta's office clearly suggesting cannibalism ("it's better to be the guy with the fork than the guy on the table", more or less a direct John Podesta quote)? In matters of taste, there is a difference between technical expertise and subject matter. I know a guy who is an excellent and pedigreed painter in a technical sense, but his latest series did not result in any sales because the subject matter was repugnant. His choice of subject matter was an issue of catharsis for the artist himself, but that did not make it any more palatable to the public.
