The emergency was Monday.
It took place within a single city block.
(JFK Library being semi-related.)

So, what emergency? The emergency is over...isn't it?
"To lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in the counties of Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk"?
What the fuck? Now I know why people tune in to scare-porn shit like Alex Jones.

Whaddya know.

Look, if this was supposed to be some Gladio shit on steroids, guess what...
It is going to completely backfire. Because, think about it for a second...
What could possibly ever top this? Our capacity to be scared: Gone.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.

That really is History in thread-form. TV news is dead. Long live the internet.
Favorite line: If this were Los Angeles, the cops would've already shot 7 of the 2 suspects.

Favorite implication, at least on a subtextual level:
Carmen Ortiz will have to thank the users of a website designed by a genius she helped kill.

Ahhh, yes. Another spot I've haunted about 100 times in my life for cigarettes, powerbars, canned coffee.

That'll be a doozy for them to try to backtrack and deny.

YO! BOSTON PEEPS!
DO NOT GO TO WORK OR SCHOOL YET!
DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE YET!

Loose suspect is reportedly heading into Boston on a bicycle.
Jesus, how is one guy so indefatigable, so invincible...
My guess is either he is Satan incarnate, or not one guy.

Sunil Tripathi is Not "a Missing Brown Student" So Why the Costly Hunt for Him?
March 28, 2013 09:15 AM EDT
comments: 4
The beguiling 'Find Sunil Tripathi' Facebook campaign that instantly transformed a mundane family melodrama into a major missing-persons saga not only showcases the value of mastering social media, but also the disparity in the way rich and poor are treated by the press and police agencies.

To wit: From the start, 22-year-old Sunny Tripathi, the son of a wealthy software CEO, has been shrewdly marketed by his tech-savvy family as a "missing Brown student" who mysteriously vanished one brisk March morning while strolling his college campus.

In reality, however, this young man isn't missing, per se, and he's not a student at Brown University either.

But those calculated embellishments are far more attention-grabbing than the unadorned truth would be: That Tripathi's scholastic career at the esteemed institute of learning he used to attend was derailed by chronic, untreated depression; and that he left a three word goodbye-cruel-world note just before deliberately dropping off everybody's radar.

Sunil is gone. He's not where he's supposed to be. But going into hiding, planning a highly-publicized suicide, being in the throes of a nervous breakdown
—whichever—this is certainly not a missing persons case in the sense that the public has come to understand them: An abduction or a murder.

And, while the Tripathi clan's crisis is undeniably sad, a five-state all out manhunt for an emotionally disturbed, underweight youth who "always wears three winter coats" and has a history of mental illness frankly isn't merited.

That such a mindbogglingly humongous search effort now also includes the supremely pricey services of the taxpayer-funded Federal Bureau of Investigations is also objectionable. Especially considering the unlimited financial assets the Tripathis have at their disposal for conducting this mission on their own, and that those resources should obviously have been spent on getting their troubled son treatment before he pulled a Houdini on them.

"The police and FBI are going above and beyond the call of duty to find Sunil," his mother Judy, a health-care professional, recently told reporters, although nobody answered this reporter's request for clarification as to the reason why.

The feds involvement is additionally offensive since they're all but nonexistent in searches for other young men of much humbler origins who've gone missing unintentionally and, as true victims of foul play, are worthy of the Bureau's assistance.

Such as Colin Gillis, Nick Wilcox, and Charlie Geurts…just to name a few unsolved cases that are being unjustly neglected.

NBC News reported Friday morning that a missing Brown University student — the subject of intense speculation on social media — is not in fact a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.
"Authorities say these people came from overseas... had overseas military training [and have] been here about a year," NBC's Pete Williams — the most reliable source through a chaotic week in Boston — reported Friday, citing multiple sources.
"There's been a lot of speculation that one of these suspects is a student that went missing from Brown," Williams said, dismissing the speculation.
That speculation reached a fever pitch when police officers mentioned 22-year-old Sunil Tripathi and another man on the police scanner in the early hours of Friday morning. His name had surfaced on Reddit Thursday night.

Tripathi was last seen on March 16th on a surveillance camera after leaving his apartment at 1:33 a.m., and his family has been frantically searching for him for a month.
There is no evidence tying Tripathi to the bombings.
One of the two suspects died after a shootout with police in Watertown, while Suspect 2, who wore a white hat the day of the Boston bombing, remains at large, the Boston police commissioner confirmed on Friday morning.
The alleged connection between Tripathi and Boston bombing was first made by users on the website Reddit, a fact that was noted by journalists on Twitter when Tripathi's name was mentioned on a Boston police scanner.
Reddit users flagged tweets from woman who went to high school with Tripathi saying she recognized him in photos.
"I don't want the person in the photo to be Sunil Tripathi. I really don't. I hope with all of my heart that it's not him," the woman, Kami Mattioli, who said she went to high school with Tripathi, tweeted.
Mattioli didn't return a request for comment.
Tripathi grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and had been living in Providence since 2008. According to CBS News he was on approved leave from the Ivy League school, where he was a philosophy major in the class of 2013. The FBI joined the search to find Tripathi in March.
The Brown Herald reported Tripathi was last seen wearing "a black jacket, blue jeans and a Philadelphia Eagles cap," and that Tripathi weighed 130 pounds and was 6 feet 2 inches tall. Tripathi left his apartment without his wallet and cellphone. ABC News reported that he was "possibly depressed and left home without any of his belongings."
A Facebook dedicated to finding Tripathi was taken down by his family late Thursday night after suspicions about his involvement in the Boston bombing were posted on Reddit. The Facebook was flooded with comments that were quickly deleted before the page was taken down.
The family also ran a @FindingSunny Twitter account to spread the word of their search for Tripathi. The most recent tweets are from earlier on Thursday, three days after the bombing. Two tweets sent on Monday mentioned the Boston Marathon — another piece of "evidence" in what could be the latest in a series of efforts online to put together patterns where, perhaps, there were none.
Meanwhile, on the subreddits relating to the Boston investigation, Reddit users have been congratulating themselves for finding Tripathi.
"Fuck political correctness, good job reddit," wrote one commenter. Said another: "Wow, just wow. And a Redditor was the one who made the connection to begin with. Internet FTW."
