First they told me to wash my hands repeatedly
Then they told me to wash everything repeatedly
Then they told me to stay 6 feet from people
Then they told me to work from home if possible
Then they told me I had to work from home
Then they told me not to gather with more than 250 people
Then they told me not to gather with more than 50 people
Then they told me not to gather with more than 10 people
Then they told me not to gather with more than 2 people
Then they told me not to travel
Then they told me to stay home completely except for essential services
Then they told me what essential services were
Then they reduced and closed essential services everyday
Then they told me this would go on for 2 weeks
Then they told me this would go on for 4 weeks
Then they told me this would go on for 8 weeks
Then they told me this would go on for 3 months
Then they told me they really didn't know how long this would go on for
(Personally agnostic to what "this all is that is happening", I don't doubt there is a covid and people are getting sick and dying but the
way it is happening is, intentionally or not, a classic hurry up and wait, moving from one declared and then dismissed emergency to another, public mind fucking of global dimensions. Honestly, most days it feels like if there was an invisible hand orchestrating it all it would be more Monty Python than Spectre goosing the public conciousness into abject mindless conformity. What was laughable a few days ago becomes normal overnight. If it was disseminated that wearing your underwear over your clothes stopped the spread, people would virtually stampede over one another to adopt and cheerlead that.)
Please wash your hands for two minutes on high in your dish washer to kill all germs while singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
